Unlocking the Door

First thing you’ll notice as you start the chapter is that the objects in the environment look like the same ones you saw in Sherlock’s study back at 221B Baker Street. However, unlike the apartment, you can’t interact with anything here except the telephone.
There’s a new button on the bottom right corner of the screen. Pull on it.

This changes the environment. There’s a new Interactive button at the top part of the screen that’s connected to the node on the telephone. You can also see nodes on three other objects: the door, the photo frame, and the sofa.

Drag the cable from the Interactive button to the sofa. Now you can move the sofa around. Move it to the side, away from the photo frame.

Then connect the Interactive cable to the photo frame and then open it. You’ll find a jar of honey inside. Interact with it to drop it to the floor.

Switch to the alternate version to find a second button called 90° Rotation with its cable attached to the photo frame.

Connect the 90° Rotation cable to the sofa to reveal the key hidden behind it.

However, when you try to interact with the key, it just bounces out of bounds.

Attach the Interactive button to the telephone and pull on it to ring it. Sherlock will walk up to inspect it.

When Sherlock is standing close to the telephone, attach the 90° Rotation to the telephone cabinet.

Guide the jar of honey to land on top of the telephone cabinet while it’s rotated.

When the jar of honey is on top of the telephone cabinet, detach the cable and hook it up to the sofa. The jar of honey will land on the floor and break.

Interact with the key to drop it into the honey and get stuck.

Connect the Interactive button to the door and guide the key into the keyhole.

Pull on the door to open it and head out.

As Sherlock is peeking over the edge, pull him from behind to drop him to the next level.
Force “Flat Watson” Out of His Hiding Places

Sherlock drops into a new level where he meets Flat Watson. Unlike our regular Watson, Flat Watson only says “testing“, “one,” and “two,” and uses the objects in the environment to hide. We have to force him out of all his hiding places.

Switching to the alternate version shows you a new Water FX button that you can use.

First, use the 90° Rotation button with the wall on the right. As it lies flat, you’ll see a cloud hidden behind it.

Attach the Interactive cable to the cloud and push it to where Flat Watson is hiding. Then use the Water FX cable on it to force Flat Watson to come out.

Flat Watson quickly runs off to hide behind the bush, but because of the water, a pumpkin grows out from his first hiding place that we can use.

Attach the 90° Rotation cable to the bush, and Flat Watson will run back to hide behind the pumpkin garden.

Then attach the Interactive cable to the big wall. Finally, attach the Water FX to the cloud. This will force Flat Watson to hide behind the water statue.

Ring the doorbell on the wall by pulling it. As Sherlock walks over to inspect it, attach the Interactive cable to the water fountain and hit him with the water.

Sherlock will turn around and spot Flat Watson hiding behind the fountain. With no other options left, he’ll hide behind the tree trunk.

Now attach the Water FX button to the cloud again to create a pumpkin if you don’t have it. Then position it near the bush without any cables attached to it.

Hook up the 90° Rotation to the bush, and it’ll fly through the hole in the tree trunk and hit Flat Watson in the face, causing him to fall off the edge.

Sherlock will peek over the edge, and you have to push him off once again to reach the next level.

After dropping down, you can spot two levels floating in the distance. Emma is on the left one, and Watson is on the right. Inspect Watson’s level first.
Clearing Dr. Watson’s Level

When you inspect Dr. Watson‘s level, you’ll see that he’s unconscious. You can also see the hand of Flat Sherlock peeking out from behind the door.

To wake up Dr. Watson, switch to the alternate version and attach the Interactive cable to the bathtub. Then push the bathtub to the left toward Dr. Watson.

Attach the Water FX cable to the tub and wait for it to fill up completely. Then attach the 90° Rotation cable to it so that it flips over and splashes Dr. Watson in the face.

Although Dr. Watson is up, he’s not willing to jump over the strange white line to reach Sherlock. Connect the Interactive button to the door where Flat Sherlock is hiding. Then pull the door to knock on it.

While Watson is facing the door, attach the 90° Rotation to the door to open it. Watson gets scared of Flat Sherlock and starts backing away toward the edge. Attach the Interactive cable to the bathtub and push it out of the way.

Dr. Watson will slip off and grab onto the ledge. We’re done with this section for now.
Clearing Emma’s Level

Use the yellow sign to return to the central platform and click on the floating level on the left to find Emma. Somehow Dr. Watson is also here now that we’ve cleared his level, but he’s dangling on the edge. To rescue Emma, we need to help her reach the Satchel.

Wait for Dr. Watson to try to push up to the platform. As he’s pulling up, pull him to the right to nudge him toward the left side of the screen. Do it twice so that he’s on the left edge of the screen.

As he tries to push up again, pull him upward so that he falls off.

Dr. Watson will fall, and while coming back from the top, he’ll grab the satchel. This will trigger a cutscene as Emma is rescued and she helps Dr. Watson climb up to the platform.
Bring Emma and Watson back on the Central Platform

The only thing left to do now is to get both Dr. Watson and Emma to the central platform.

To do that, attach the Interactive cable to the vent on the floor and the 90° Rotation button to the chalkboard. Then pull on either Watson to make them stand on the vent.

Pull the vent downward to launch Watson onto the chalkboard.

Then remove the cable from the chalkboard, and Watson will be launched to the central platform.

Follow the same steps for Emma and reunite the gang.

This triggers a cutscene, and Flat Watson gets excited trying to show you something.

Switch to Dr. Watson’s level and use the 90° Rotation cable on the door to let Flat Sherlock out.

But he’s still too scared to join your platform. You’ll have to spill water on him two times to get him to come over. The steps are the same as when you woke up Dr. Watson.
Retrieving the Sherlock-o-Motive

The group arrives at a platform where they find the Sherlock-o-Motive (and Emmet) spinning around a large wheel. You need to align the rotating platform with the group so that they can get in.

First thing you have to do is attach the Interactive button to the platform where Sherlock and others are standing and push it away from the wheel. Then grab the Infinite Rotation button and attach it to the platform.

As the platform spins, detach the Infinite Rotation cable so that the platform is facing the other way. Attach the Interactive button to the platform and push it back toward the wheel.

Attach the Infinite Rotation back to the wheel to get it spinning again. Then attach both the 90° Rotation and Water FX to the tree so that it sprays water on the wheel.

Remove the Infinite Rotation from the wheel and attach the 90° Rotation to it. Now the vehicle is aligned to the platform.

Move the platform with the gang away and attach the Infinite Rotation to orient it properly.

Push it back toward the wheel to get back on the Sherlock-o-Motive.

This triggers another cutscene, and eventually the group falls into an alternate world called EDITOR.
Putting the Scene Back in Order

You’ll find yourself looking at a photo editor. To complete the puzzle, you have to put the scene back in order. Start with the objects in the middle of the screen first. There are six blocks in three rows. You can drag the objects below to push them into each of the blocks.
Here’s how you want to fill each block:
| Block Position | Objects |
|---|---|
| Center Block, Front Row | Box and Watson |
| Near Block, Front Row | Sherlock |
| Far Block, Front Row | Emma |
| Middle Row | Box and Emmet |
| Near Block, Back Row | Barrel and W_Draft |
| Far Block, Back Row | S_Draft |

With that done, pull on the sun icon on the top right a couple of times until the shadow is cast behind each of the objects.

Finally, interact with the color editor on the left and switch the scene to teal.

Pull the play button above the screen to get back on track.
Take Control of the Vehicle

After a cutscene where you see Emmet and Emma both fly off, Sherlock and Dr. Watson fight to take control of the vehicle. You need to take control from them.

Interact with the back tire near where Flat Watson is hanging.

This will spin the vehicle. Now rotate the headlight so that it shines into Sherlock‘s eyes.

Pull on Sherlock’s face so that he stretches out his hand.

Rotate the back tire again so that Flat Sherlock is holding on to Sherlock‘s hand. Rotate the headlight to shine light into Watson‘s eyes this time.

Rotate the back tire two more times until both Flat Watson and Flat Sherlock are holding on to Sherlock‘s hand.

Shine the headlight into Watson‘s eyes once more and pull on the steering rod. This triggers another cutscene as you transition into the next chapter.
