Welcome to Into Indie Games’ walkthrough for Chapter 5 of Crushed in Time.
Their tussle in the wormhole causes Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson to enter a world called REMASTER, where everything seems oddly polished.

Help Dr. Watson Reach the Door

This whole chapter is an elaborate QTE that starts with you helping Dr. Watson up to his feet and getting him to the door. For the first part, you need to drag the button until it fills up.

To make him take a step forward, drag the button and follow the white lines that pop up in a circle to fill up the meter.

You’ll soon reach a puddle, and an Avoid QTE will pop up. Drag the button away from the triangle to pass the QTE.

Continue moving toward the stairs following the QTE prompts. You’ll also have to avoid kicking Sherlock’s face along the way.

Eventually, you’ll reach the doorbell. Grab and ring the bell by following the QTE prompts to complete the section.

Since no one is answering, Sherlock resorts to using his lockpicking skills. Follow the QTE prompt to try to fill up the meter.

But before it fills up, the door will open, and Emmet will walk out.
Help Dr. Watson Refresh His Memory

After the cutscene, you’ll enter a conversation sequence with Emmet as he wants to ask about Emma‘s whereabouts. For the first prompt, choose the Placeholder dialog option.

You will acquire a Memory Fragment for asking this question. Now you can talk to him about Kidnapping. You can still use the other dialog options if you want.

After talking about Kidnapping, choose the Woman dialog option.

When he asks how she is dressed, go over all three options: Jewelry, Shoes, and Dress.

Then choose the Identity dialog option and go over both Hair and Personality.

Now you can choose the Description dialog option in Identity.

But when Emmet asks you to spell her name, the letters get all jumbled. It’s almost as if something is preventing Dr. Watson from speaking Emma’s name. At this point, follow the steps below:
- From here, choose SPLEL first and then choose the THE STATR (left) dialog option.
- Then choose SLELP, and then go with THE MIDEDL (right) dialog.
- Finally, choose PSELL, and for the final letter use the dialog FINAL LERTTE (left).

You’ll unlock a Memory Fragment for each of these questions and can finally choose the SPELL dialog option.
This will trigger a cutscene as Emmet refuses to talk about it and Dr. Watson decides to head back home.
Changing the TP-Tron Destination

As Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson drive off, you’ll see THE END logo in the sky. But it’s the same as the logo you saw in the first chapter. Hit it three times to make it fall on the road and block their path.

This triggers another cutscene as Flat Sherlock and Flat Watson jump out of the car’s trunk.

Sherlock decides to take them home and fires up the TP-Tron again, which leads them back into the wormhole.

Pull on Sherlock‘s hat to make the vehicle spin around.

Now you’re looking at the back of the car where Flat Sherlock and Flat Watson are riding. Interact with the bag under Flat Sherlock until he has the Wrench in his hand.

Pull on Flat Sherlock‘s cloth to transfer the wrench to Flat Watson‘s hand.

Pull the bag under Flat Watson so that he swaps the wrench to his left hand.

Pull on Sherlock‘s hat as he’s driving to rotate the car once again.

Interact with the vehicle’s starter a couple of times. It will catch fire once you rotate it a few times.

At this point, Sherlock will grab the wrench from Flat Watson and get to work on the repair, and the car will spin around.

Interact with the TP-Tron to change its destination.

The TP-Tron takes you to a world called Vector. You see a vehicle driving across a straight line. There are points across the line that you can pull up or down and a section marked in red.
To solve the puzzle, you have to make the vehicle jump into the red section from enough height to break through it.

For the first one, drag the two points around the red section down so that it’s below the rest of the road. Then, as the car moves over the third point from the left, push it up so that it jumps straight into the red section.

The idea is the same for the next puzzle. Check the image above for the correct positioning.

For the final part, use the positioning shown above.

Doing so triggers another cutscene as you transition into the next chapter.
