Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Death of the Reprobate.
This is a point-to-point walkthrough that takes you through the critical path to completing the game. Death of the Reprobate has a lot more to offer apart from the steps outlined in this walkthrough, so we highly recommend that you explore and interact with its world as much as possible.

The Hunter
To find the hunter, first go to the forest from the main street, and then go left up the crumbling stairs.
Here, keep going left past the building and the landscape painter.
Up on the hill, you’ll find your seventh person to perform a good deed for – the Hunter.
Talk to the Hunter (“a Man with a Very Long Gun”) and ask him if you can help him with something.
Agree to help him and keep talking to get a book that’ll help you learn the names of the local birds.
You need to be able to name 10 birds to be able to help the Hunter. For this, we’ll tour the entire area the game presents to us and cover every bird we can find.
Whenever you find a bird, use your compendium of birds on the bird to identify it.
Start by going back to the forest.
- Affable Sky-Wench: The Forest, immediately right of the crumbling stairs, above the leftmost musician.
(Can also be found at the Tired Dad’s home, sitting above the door to the left). - Fickle-Titted Nonce: Wizard’s House, absolute top-right of the screen.
(Can also be found in the barn, to the left sitting on the lion) - Cootish Whomper: Tavern, in a cage hanging from the top of the screen.
- Little Ground Tyrant: “Genie’s” residence, above the “Genie’s” head.
- Blue-Billed Buttpecker: Main street, between the musicians and the man waving the black cloak.
- Common Skank: Backyard of the tired dad’s house, above the Creepy Fop.
- Egregious Loon: Far right of the gallery screen.
- Snorkle-Hooded Water Cock: By the lake, right side of the screen.
- Monotonous Boob: Immortal John’s hut, above the open door.
- Star-Spangled Turkey: Barn, top-right of the screen.
With all ten birds identified, return to the hunter on the hill and rattle off all the names you’ve learned.
You will then be tasked with spotting the birds. This is simple, use the left and right arrows on the telescope to switch where you’re looking, and use the up and down arrows to focus on the right distance.
If your image is blurry, you need to change the focal distance. Once the image is clear, simply hover over the bird in view to make sure it’s the one the Hunter wants.
Then, tell the hunter at what distance the bird is.
First, we’re looking for the Star-Spangled Turkey, who can be found on the screen with the ‘eager drinker’. This one is at a distance of 300.
Next up, the Affable Sky-Wench. You can find this one on the screen with the angry peasants. It’s at a distance of 100.
Next is the Common Skank, found on the screen with the farm dudes. It’s at a distance of 200.
This will complete your good deed for the Hunter, and you’ll also get a Cute Little Handgun for your trouble.
