Welcome to the third part of our walkthrough for Deep Sleep: Labyrinth of the Forsaken. This part takes place in the Hotel’s West Wing. However, it isn’t like any hotel you’ve ever seen, with danger lurking behind almost every door.
For more information about Deep Sleep: Labyrinth of the Forsaken, check out their official website here.
The rooms and items in this level are randomized. The layout for you may not be the same as in this walkthrough. The puzzles and general progression route, however, will remain the same.
Table of contents
Starting Room and Hallway

You’ll wake up in a room that looks pretty similar to the room in the last chapter. However, there’s a narrow passage leading to a door in the south.

Check the wardrobe for an item. We found a Wrench that we can use as a weapon.

There’s a bathroom on the right side with a working faucet. Once you’re ready, head out through the southern door.

In the next room, you’ll see a monster roaming the hall below. But he hasn’t spotted you yet, so you’re safe. You can either fight it using whatever weapon you found from the wardrobe, or simply avoid getting spotted.
There are two cabinets on the lower level near where the monster is patrolling. You can loot both cabinets once it walks over to the other side. It won’t aggro if you’re far enough from it.

There are three doors in this room, one to the left, one to the right, and the last to the south. Let’s try the left door first.
Reception Area and Map

This brought us to the hotel reception area. There’s an NPC here who tasks you with sorting out the bags in their respective carts. This is a puzzle, but you don’t have the right tool to solve it at the moment.

After exhausting the dialogues, interact with the map on the wall.

You can now click on the map button on the top right corner of your screen to check the layout. You’ll want to use it often, as it shows you all the paths you’ve explored as well as the areas you haven’t seen.

The northern door took us to a new room with a TV in the corner. The TV doesn’t work, but we found a Can of Meat inside the wardrobe.
Return to the room with the ghost patrolling the bottom floor. We’ll try the eastern door next.
The Furnace Room

This takes us to a dark room with a Smoldering Husk patrolling up ahead. There’s a burnt-out furnace you can see. You can skip fighting the enemy by carefully avoiding its path as long as you don’t turn on your flashlight.

The furnace has a Wrench inside, but picking it up will damage us since it’s still hot. We can ignore it for now. Let’s walk back the way we came.
We’ll head through the southern door from the main hotel area this time.
Lost and Found Room

Entering the southern door takes us to a lost and found room. There are two doors leading out of the room, one to the right and one to the left. But before we try them, there are a few things to check here.
Check the Lost and Found chest right next to the table first. We found a Trash Can Lid that can be used as a shield against enemies.
The first aid kit box in the room will have a healing item. For us, it was Painkillers.

On the table, you can interact with the Coffee Mug to restore Focus if needed. We don’t need it right now, but it might come in handy later.

There’s a reading table near the bottom corner of the room. Read the note to earn some Focus that you can use later for upgrades.

Take the right side exit out of the room. We reached an area with a staircase with some luggage near the bottom.

A Suitcase at the bottom can be opened. We found a Box of Cutter Knife inside.
Head back to the lost and found room and take the other exit.
The Study Room

We find ourselves in a narrow corridor with two doors on either side. We’ll be heading left first.

As you get to the door, the light in the passage goes out. A monster will spawn behind you. But if you’re fast enough, you can just go through the door to avoid fighting it.

This brings you to another important room in the zone, the study room.
You’ll find a burning fireplace in the room. Amy can see something inside the fire. But to get it, you’ll first have to put the fire out.

There’s a Shield on the wall that you can unscrew if you’ve got a Screwdriver in your inventory. There’s also a shelf here that gave us an Empty Bucket.

There’s a side exit in the room that takes us to a dark, empty passage. There’s just a pile of bones at the end of the passage. We looted it for a Human Bone.

With all that done, we’ll go back to the passage where the monster ambushed us. This time, we’ll have no choice but to take it down.

Once defeated, take the eastern door to get to the next room.
The Elevator Room

You’ll reach a hexagonal room with an elevator in the middle. There’s a monster patrolling right in front of it. So let’s avoid going there for now. We take the door on the eastern side of the room first.

This area has a pool of water on the other side of a grill. You can see something floating on the water. But there’s also an item that you can see using your flashlight.

Drop down to the water through the opening on the right side.

As you take a couple of steps towards the time, you’ll see something drop into the water from the opposite direction. Amy starts panicking, and we run back the way we came to get out of the water.

There’s a second opening through the grill on the left side. If you have a Can of Meat, you can use it with the second opening to distract the creature in the water.

When it’s busy chowing on the meat, drop down into the water to run and grab the item in the blue bag. For us, this was a Screwdriver… not really worth it.

Before you head back, use the Empty Bucket with the water to collect a Bucket of Water. This will let you douse the fireplace.

Exit the way you came and take the door on the south-east before the monster gets to you.

This brought us to a corridor with a single door in the middle. The door is locked.
Use the Golden Key from your inventory to open the door and go inside.

There are two crates you can loot here. One of them gave us a key puzzle item that we needed: the List of Bags. We found a Nailed Plank in the other one – not a bad weapon at all.
With that done, we can now head down the elevator. However, we already have two key items to solve the two puzzles we saw earlier. Before heading down, we’ll be taking a crack at those first.
Solving the Bag Sorting Puzzle

Make your way back to the hotel’s reception area. You’ll see a note at the bottom left corner of your screen as soon as you step in.

Clicking on it will bring up a set of instructions showing which bags belong in which carts. The puzzle is always presented as a riddle, and it’s randomized each time you enter the dream.

Thankfully, the instructions aren’t that difficult to understand. Here’s how we solved the puzzle:
A hiker is in a room on an odd-numbered floor.
- The hiker’s backpack goes on cart number 5.
A sportsman is in the room that is in the upper half of the hotel
- The sports bag goes on cart number 4.
A person traveling without any luggage is on the 2nd floor.
- No bags on cart number 2.
A globetrotter is in a room right below the person traveling without any luggage.
- The globetrotter’s bag (bag with stickers) goes on cart number 1.
The owner of the smallest bag is on the 3rd floor.
- The small purse goes on cart number 3.

Once you’ve placed the bags correctly, talk to the NPC and tell him you’ve completed the task.

He’ll then check the only bag left on the bench and say that it belongs to you. We found the Flat Golden Key inside the bag, another key item needed to clear the level.
Back to the Study Room

Once you’ve solved the Bag Puzzle, head back to the Study Room (the room with the fireplace). Use the Bucket of Water on the fireplace to douse the flames.
At this point, an enemy will spawn in the room.

Interact with the fireplace, and Amy will pull out a Metal Box from inside it.

Open the box to receive the Flat Silver Key.

The enemy caught up to us at this point. After defeating the monster, we used the Screwdriver from our inventory on the shield mounted on the wall to loot the Shield.
Taking the Elevator Down

Head back to the room with the elevator. Wait for the ghoul to move away and then interact with the elevator. Enter the lift as it arrives to descend to the lower level of the hotel.

This area is darker, so be sure to turn on your Flashlight.

For us, there was a single room on the eastern wall of the area — room 387.

This is the same room you saw on the TV screen in the last chapter. Interact with the door, and the mysterious stranger will speak to you from the other side.

After exhausting the dialogue, combine the Flat Golden Key and Flat Silver Key in your inventory to create the Combined Gold-Silver Key.

Use it to unlock the door and go inside.
You’ll reach a small room with a TV. Check the wardrobe on the side for an item. We found a Wrench. We also found a Thermos on the small table.

On the eastern wall, you’ll notice some cracks.

Use any weapon from your inventory on the crack three times to break it open and create a path forward.
The Mysterious Stranger Revealed

You’ll find yourself in an area resembling an Egyptian tomb. There’s a sarcophagus up ahead, but you can’t reach it from this spot.

Head left to find another hole in the wall and go through it.

In the next room, you’ll see hieroglyphs on the wall. Take the eastern door when you’re ready.

In the following room, you’ll see a large Stone Door blocking your path. There’s a Stone Panel in the middle of the room.

Interacting with the panel brings up five buttons, each marked with a different symbol.

When you close the panel window, a voice calls out to you. Follow the sound to find Adder. From this point on, he will provide hints for different puzzles. However, in exchange, he will bite you, which reduces your health.

Inspect the walls around the room for the same symbols shown on the Stone Panel. You’ll notice numbers next to each symbol, indicating their order in the sequence.
Return to the panel and press the buttons in the correct order: 5, 2, 3, 1, 4 (left to right).

Once solved, the Stone Door will open. Head through into the next chamber.

Interact with the sarcophagus to open it and finally meet the mysterious stranger.
This is Tutu, a deity who will serve as your ally for the next few chapters. She also seems to know a great deal about Thomas but remains cryptic about the details.

Once the conversation ends, she’ll open a portal that you can use to return to the real world.
Choose Your Next Destination

Back in the real world, Amy will now have to find a way to pass the time. Like before, there are four activities that you can choose to do.
Afterward, you can check the Answering Machine for a new message. This gives you some additional Focus that you can use to upgrade your abilities.

When ready, interact with the Electrode Cap in the bed to head back into the dream. However, this time, you’ll have three options to choose from:
- Somnolent Wells City
- The Attic
- Forest of the Lost
We’ll be heading into Somnolent Wells City next, but you can go with any location you prefer.
