Deep Sleep: Labyrinth of the Forsaken Walkthrough – The Dream’s Foundation & All Endings

deep sleep walkthrough

Welcome to the final part of our walkthrough for Deep Sleep: Labyrinth of the Forsaken. Learning the true Fate of Thomas, Amy is prepared to confront her brother, or whatever is left of him at the Dream’s Foundation.

Does she have the strength to do what’s right?

The Broken Apartment

After waking up at the lighthouse, spend all your Echoes to get as many upgrades as possible, since you’ll be heading into the final chapter of the game.

Talk to Tutu when you’re ready and tell her that you’ve found the book. Run through her dialogue.

Interact with the Electrode Cap on the bed and choose the Dream’s Foundation as your next destination.

You’ll be transported to a dark and broken version of your apartment.

Check the photograph on the table in the bedroom to see that Thomas has been replaced by a shadow. The back of it reads “YOU ARE NEXT.”

Put the photograph down and head out to the balcony.

You’ll see a Ghoul and two Shades patrolling the ground below. Use the chain on the balcony railing to drop down and defeat them.

Loot the chests and the barrel behind the enemies after defeating them to find some items. We found a Thermos inside the barrel, and a Trash Can Lid and a Pickaxe inside the chests.

Climb back to the apartment and head toward the main door.

Check the fridge in the kitchen for an item. We found a Can of Meat.

Check the Answering Machine near the entrance for one last message from Alex before heading out the door.

As you step outside into the next section of the apartment, you’ll reach an area with a broken-down path.

There’s an old chest that you can loot here for an item. We got a First Aid Kit.

Continue moving up the path. As you reach the exit, the path will break and collapse behind you.

With nowhere else to go, continue through the exit up ahead.

The Inner Chamber

You’ll reach a circular room with three locked gates in front of you. There’s a dial in the center, with the yellow symbol currently pointed toward the path you came from.

As you take a few steps forward, a cutscene will play. Thomas appears in front of you. But he isn’t your brother anymore. He has transformed into one of the Shadow People.

After a brief conversation, the boss fight begins.

Unlike the enemies you’ve faced earlier, you can’t damage Thomas at all. Your only option right now is to use Escape and run to the other side of the room.

At this point, Tutu will fly in and land near the entrance. Run toward her, and she’ll keep Thomas busy while you figure out a way to weaken him.

How to Defeat Thomas

deep sleep walkthrough

Once he’s distracted with Tutu, interact with the two levers in the middle of the three doors to turn the dial at the center of the room. Rotate it until the yellow symbol lines up with one of the locked doors.

As soon as you line it up with a door, the gate will open and you can pass through it.

On the other side of each gate, you’ll find a Thermos and a Dream’s Pillar.

The Dream’s Pillar acts as a boss on its own, but it isn’t too tough to beat with the weapons you have at this point.

deep sleep walkthrough

After defeating the first Dream’s Pillar, return to the central chamber to unlock another door. At this point, you’ll most likely find Tutu on the ground.

You can interact with her and share your lifeforce to revive her. This costs you a bit of health, but it’s worth it for the time she buys you. Otherwise, you’ll have to fight both Thomas and the Dream’s Pillar at the same time, which isn’t easy.

deep sleep walkthrough

For the final Dream’s Pillar, you’ll have to fight both enemies together anyway. So don’t waste your time reviving Tutu once you’ve destroyed two Dream’s Pillars. Once the final Dream’s Pillar is destroyed, Thomas will fade away.

Return to the central chamber to find Tutu slowly fading.

Interact with her, and Thomas will reappear, triggering another fight. This time you can damage him, but he also summons two minions that will attack you at the same time.

Defeat Thomas, and he’ll collapse to the ground.

Tutu will stand, recovered by now, and ask you to make the final choice. You can either banish Thomas, kill him, or use the Guardian’s Light that you picked up from the Prisoner’s house.

Deciding Thomas’s Fate (All Endings)

deep sleep walkthrough

While deciding the fate of Thomas, a portal will appear near the bottom of the chamber. You can use it to revisit any of the earlier chapters to complete any tasks you may have left behind.

Once you’re ready, choose one of the three options to decide Thomas’s fate:

Kill Thomas for Good

deep sleep walkthrough

If you choose to kill Thomas, Tutu will drive her spear through the Shadow of Thomas, ending him for good. This is the worst outcome for Thomas and is considered the bad ending of the game.

    Banish Thomas Away

    deep sleep walkthrough

If you decide to banish Thomas, he fades away. However, you never truly know if he will return one day, forcing you to face him again. This is considered the normal ending of the game.

      Use the Guardian’s Light

      deep sleep walkthrough

This option transforms Thomas into a guardian. He returns to his old self, showing concern for Amy and questioning why she’s in such a place. This is the best outcome for Thomas, but it’s only available if you helped the Wounded Guardian inside the Prisoner’s house.

After deciding his fate, Amy walks into the portal and tosses the flashlight to Tutu as one final goodbye.

NOTE: After the credits roll, you can choose Continue from the main menu to see the other endings.
