Welcome to the second part of our walkthrough for Deep Sleep: Labyrinth of the Forsaken. On Amy’s quest to find her brother, Thomas, she finds herself in a strange, oddly desolate Hotel.
As you head deeper, you find a mysterious stranger who comes calling for help.

Table of contents
The Hotel Cube Puzzle

You wake up in a bed in a small hotel room. There’s a small cabinet near the bed with a Vase and a photo frame on top. You’ll also see a Bureau Cabinet near the door.

Interact with the Vase to find a Golden Key inside it.

Inspect the Cabinet to find that it’s locked. Use the Golden Key you just picked up to unlock it.

The top drawer pops out, and inside it, you’ll find a Cube with Buttons.

Examine the Cube from your inventory. There are five buttons on five sides of the Cube. On the sixth side, you’ll see a drawing of some weird symbols. Needless to say, this is another puzzle you need to solve.

You’ll notice that the five symbols on the sides can be pressed. You have to press them in a specific order, as shown in the drawing.
For us, the correct order of symbols was circle, teardrop, half circle, triangle, and square.

After pressing the buttons, the plaque with the drawing will flip. Inspect it to find the message:
“This is your brother’s dream.”

Close the puzzle window to see a cutscene of the room transforming.

There’s a skeleton on the bed where you were sleeping. Interact with the Skeleton to find a Human Bone.

Pick it up and head through the room where the door was to get to the next section. You’ll find yourself atop a flight of stairs. Take the door at the bottom of the staircase to find yourself at the hotel reception area.
A Mysterious Phone Call

There are two doors in this area, but both are locked.

Pick up the Bucket of Water near the “wet floor” sign.

On the hotel counter, you’ll see some papers.

Interact with them and read the Lobby Note.
The note is addressed directly to Amy, asking for help. The note ends with a postscript, “ring ring.”

Once you close the note, the door on the right side slams open, and you hear a phone ringing from the other side.

Head through the open door and follow the sound of the ringing phone.

You’ll find a Flashlight at the base of the stairs. Pick it up.

Answer the phone up ahead to talk to the mysterious stranger.
The Pipe Room

After hanging up the phone, use the Human Bone from your inventory with the metal gate on the right.

Amy will crack the grill, creating a passage for you to go through. There’s a Metal Gateway on the other end. Head through it.

As you take a couple of steps, Amy gets blasted with hot steam coming from the pipes.

Thankfully, there’s a Bottle of Medicine nearby that you can consume from your inventory to heal back up. But since it’s just one health of damage, it’s better to save it for the time being.
Time your movement so that you don’t get blasted by hot steam again and make your way to the right side of the room.

Interact with the Valve in front of you to turn off the pipes on your side of the area.

Unfortunately, this turns on the pipes in the upper area. You can see a door to the north, but you can’t reach it because of the steam at this point.

Time your movements again and cross the upper area to the left side.

Head through the metal gate to reach a dark boiler room.
The Boiler Room

As you walk toward the furnace, the door pops open. A Weak Smoldering Husk comes out of it. This is your first combat encounter in Deep Sleep.

Defeat the monster using the only weapon you have in your inventory, the Human Bone. Once defeated, check the Control Mechanism nearby.

Unfortunately, it needs a lever to function. And we’ve just used up the Human Bone to defeat the monster.

At this point, you’ll start hearing the phone start to ring once again. There’s another door near the bottom of the room. Go through it to arrive back at the area with the phone.

Interact with the phone and run through the new dialogue options. This will lead to a tutorial section for the game’s Imagination feature. Basically, you can recall items that you’ve used using Focus, the blue square box under your health. Use it now to recall a Human Bone in your inventory.

Go back to the boiler room and use the Human Bone with the Furnace Control Mechanism on the right.
This will turn the fire off, and the boiler room will go dark.

Turn your Flashlight on. You’ll find a sparkling object inside the furnace. Inspecting it reveals that it’s a key, but Amy notes that it’s still very hot and will be painful to pick up.

Use the Bucket of Water from your inventory with the furnace.

Now interact with the item to pick up a Modern Key.

Return to the room with the pipes from earlier. Now that the furnace is turned off, there is no steam coming out of the pipes.
Use the Modern Key with the northern door to head into the next section.
The TV Puzzle

You’ll find yourself in a dark room with a TV running static on the screen.
Interact with the TV.

In the TV window, you can manipulate three elements: the antennas, the slider, and the dial.

You need to adjust all three until the static clears up. Once the image becomes visible, you’ll see a door with the number 387 displayed on it.

After solving the puzzle and closing the window, the door to the north of the room pops open. A shadow figure comes out from inside.

Before you can really do anything, the figure rushes in and attacks you.

An error message pops up on your screen, and you’ll find yourself back in the real world.
Returning To the Dream World

You’ll hear someone ringing the doorbell once you wake up from the dream.

Answer the door to find a neighbor who has come to complain about the noise. Run through the dialogue.

Head back to the bedroom and interact with the computer.

This brings you to the upgrade screen, where you can buy different abilities and item upgrades for Amy. Unlock Focus and Big Pockets for now. You’ll find other upgrade options later on as you progress through the story.

Once you close this screen, Amy notes that she needs to find something to pass the day. There are four activities you can choose from, each giving a different bonus:
| Read Books | Interact with the bookshelf in the bedroom | Gain 500 Echoes to use for upgrades |
| Watch TV | Interact with the TV set in the living room | Start with an extra item from your researched item list |
| Go Outside | Interact with the apartment door | +3 maximum Focus for the next dream |
| Go for a Ride | Interact with the bicycle near the apartment door | +5 maximum Integrity for the next dream |
Choose whichever pastime you prefer. Once you return, there’ll be a new message on the answering machine from Alex.

Use the machine to listen to the message.
When you’re ready, head to the bedroom and interact with the Electrode Cap to return to the dream world.

There’s now a new area on the map: Hotel’s West Wing. This will be our next destination.
