Demon Tides – Walkthrough Part 1: Finding Runa’s Village

Demon Tides is a 3D platformer where you play the role of Beebz, the daughter of Ragnar. As Beebz, you’ll have to explore the seas to find a way to get to Ragnar’s Castle. Tutorial

The tutorial takes place after Beebz and the crew’s ship gets capsized after colliding with the red reef that suddenly appeared in the ocean. Now, you have to find your crew amidst all the rubble as you progress through the tutorial.

Go straight through the wooden path from your starting location. Turn right and jump across a series of wooden platforms.

On the other side, you’ll find DK. He’ll tell you that he’d phase out any of the other crew members to safety once you’ve found them, so you have to progress ahead.

Keep going through the platforms until you find Luci. She’ll be standing near her flag. Luci will remind you to use your checkpoint flag.

The checkpoint flag is an amazing mechanic, allowing you to place a flag anywhere on a solid platform, so you can teleport back to it and respawn at it after being defeated. It’s incredibly useful, and you should get used to it quickly.

Finally, after jumping some more platforms, you’ll find Midgi. He has turned into a barrel, but he’ll return to normal shortly after. There’s a door nearby that you can break through by using boost.

Now, after going through the tutorial and learning about everything Beebz is capable of at the start of the game, you’ll finally arrive at the makeshift camp.

Building The Ship

Here, Midgi will ask you to gather any parts that may seem useful. You can press and hold the B button on a controller or the “2” button on the keyboard to find out the direction in which you’ll find the next part.

There are four pathways going out from the makeshift camp, and you’ll find a part on each path. Once you’ve gathered all the parts, Midgi will repair the ship, and you’ll get a map.

Midgi will also mark a circle on the map, telling you that Runa might be somewhere around here, and she can get you to Ragnar’s Castle.

However, before you can go and explore, Beebz wants to try out and explore a nearby location with radio towers.

Radio Towers FM

Radio Towers is the first location that you’ll be exploring. There’s a chest here near the leaderboard boat. You’ll also find a Lokian here. The man will tell you that you need to power up the radio station.

There’s another chest nearby, and if you interact with it, you’ll see a ring on one of the towers above. For now, you have to make your way ahead until you reach the tower with the ring.

Before interacting with the ring, you have to interact with the radios here on top of the tower. Once you’ve done it, the radio tower will be live, and you can do the ring quest to unlock the second chest.

Now, return to the Lokian, and he’ll let you have the contents of the chest. The ring quest will give you a Golden Gear. You’re going to need many of those. The other chest near the Lokian will give you a Talisman.

Runa’s Village

You can find Runa’s village in the eastern area of the circle drawn by Midgi. In the village, if you take the path going up the cliff towards your right from the boat, you’ll find Runa there.

Runa asks you to collect a certain number of Golden Gears so she can send you to other oceans or to Ragnar’s Castle. You’re currently in Lokitana, and you’ll have to clear several locations and gather at least 10 Golden Gears to travel to Shiverbeaks.

Runa also marks a location on your map, asking you to defeat Jester, one of Ragnar’s three generals. You’ll have to defeat Jester and gather 10 Golden Gears to access the next ocean.
