In Demon Tides, you play the role of Beebz. You’ll have to find Golden Gears spread out across the oceans to access more areas and travel to Ragnar’s Castle. You start in Lokitana, where you’ll find out that the current Demon King Ragnar isn’t nice to his subjects, and the people there want him and his generals to go away as soon as possible, and Beebz will help them accomplish that. Searching For The Jester
After you’ve visited Runa’s Village and have talked to her, she’ll mark an area on the map. She says that you’ll find the Jester here.
You’ll find Jester’s Minery inside the circle drawn by Runa. However, keep in mind that the Jester has a total of three facilities in this sea, and you’ll have to wreck all three of them to unlock the battle against Jester.
Jester’s Minery
As you arrive in the location, you’ll be greeted by the Jester. He’s very angry and asks not to touch his crystals at all. He’s mining crystals in the area, and there are a total of three cranes in the area that are mining the crystals from the ground.
You have to disable each of these cranes by using a lever that can be reached by completing nearby challenges. Once all three cranes have been disabled, you’ll unlock the chest near the leaderboard, and you’ll find a Golden Gear here.
After you’ve destroyed the Minery, Jester will tell you that he doesn’t want you near any of his other facilities, and that’s exactly what you have to do. Go there and wreck each of them.
Jester’s Juicery
Jester’s Juicery is towards the southeast region of the Lokitana sea. You can spot this area by the purple hue surrounding the island.
In this location, you have to make your way to the top. You’ll find some escalators with crystals. Travel on them, and you’ll arrive on an elevated platform where you’ll be able to pull the lever.
Pulling the lever will halt the operations in the Juicery. Furthermore, you’ll also find a Gearserker here. To defeat this Gearserker, you’ll have to use the Boost attack on the spikes behind its hands after it smashes its hands on the ground.
Once you hit both of the hands with a Boost attack, the Gearserker will temporarily halt and become vulnerable to an attack. If you attack it three times, the Gearserker will be defeated and will drop a Golden Gear.
Jester’s Hatchery
Jester’s Hatchery is a location called Jester’s Leviathan. In this area, you’ll find some eggshells with goo being poured into them.
You’ll have to find the bombs nearby and throw the bombs at these eggshells to destroy them. There are two of these eggshells in total for this area.
The bombs are inside boxes with a bomb icon on them, and they generate bombs on their own. However, you can also make them generate a bomb by using a Boost attack on the box.
The first eggshell is near the chest with two locks. But you’ll have to go a little deep into the area to get to the next eggshell. The next eggshell is inside the tower-like structure deep in the area.
After you’ve destroyed all three sites, you’ll be able to fight against the Jester. There’s a circular platform in each of the Jester’s sites, where you can check which sites are operational.
Battle Against The Jester
During the battle, the Jester will pull out a prize wheel. There are a total of five different attacks the boss will use, and you can only deal damage to it in two of them.
The bomb attack appears four times on the prize wheel. The landing point of these bombs will be marked on the ground. You can avoid them easily by dashing out of the attack’s range. Once all the bombs have exploded, a rocket will appear in the arena. Use the Boost attack on the rocket to make it hit the Jester.
There’s a fist attack on the prize wheel, which causes several gigantic fists to hit the ground. Each impact releases a shockwave that you can jump over.
The finger gun attack causes the Jester to shoot lasers across the arena. You’ll see the affected area highlighted shortly before the Jester fires the laser.
In one of the attacks from the prize wheel, the Jester can summon multiple enemies on the stage. You’ll have to defeat them as you would beat any other enemy, by using a Boost attack on them.
There’s also the Jester’s mask on the prize wheel. This attack causes multiple clones to appear in the arena. The real Jester looks different than the rest, and you’ll have to use the Boost attack on him to kick him away and stop the attack. This attack also deals damage to him.
Once you’ve dealt damage to the boss up to four times, the Jester will turn into a gigantic, ominous cloud. It will shoot lasers from its mouth, and you’ll have to avoid those.
The Jester will then use the bomb attack. That’s your cue, kick the rocket when it appears, and you’ll be able to defeat the Jester.
Defeating the boss will also increase one of your Talisman slots, allowing you to equip more talsimans and increase your abilities as you continue to gather Golden Gears and prepare for the next area.
