Dinoblade Walkthrough – Kasei The Tyrant

Welcome to our Dinoblade Walkthrough.

Part 3 sees you pushing deeper through the mountain caves, fighting waves of hammer-wielding dinosaurs while collecting more SP hidden along the route. After passing behind a waterfall and resting at another Save Stone, you’ll reach the area’s next major encounter, Kasei the Tyrant. This two-phase boss begins with fire-based attacks, sweeping tail strikes, charges, and powerful slam attacks before switching to a massive greatsword once his health drops below one-third. The second phase is more aggressive, featuring fast gap-closing attacks, sword throws, and heavy melee combos. Stay close to Kasei’s side, dodge his unblockable attacks, parry when opportunities arise, and punish his openings to defeat him. Absorbing his soul unlocks the path forward to the next area.

Once Axe is down, take the path to the left to get to the save stone. Go past the stone and through the caves while taking care of the multiple dinosaurs. Follow the path behind the waterfall and you will run into a couple of hammer dinosaurs. Take care of them and pick up the SP on the right.

Go back and turn around at the waterfall and go up the ramp. Two smaller dinos and a white one with a hammer are at the top. Take them out. Follow the path through the mountains, and eventually you will reach the next save stone; rest here. Pick up the SP on the left and go through. At the end of the path is Kasei The Tyrant.

Boss Fight: Kasei The Tyrant

His opening move is usually an unblockable one. This is a 360 degree tail swipe and a fireball.

He jumps up and slams down creating an AoE flame attack.

He does a short charge and jump up attack which he then slams down. This is very slow and telegraphed so you can easily roll away.

He does two horizontal swipes.

When he is at 33% health, phase 2 starts and he drops the carcass he was fighting with and picks up a greatsword. The first move is a gap closing charge then he slams down and follows up with a swing. Its really hard to see this one coming. The follow up swing does have a clash attack so you can land properly off this attack.

He does a short jump and slash attack. This attack can be parried.

He does a full turn and throws his sword at you. He then rolls over and slams the ground. Dodge the sword once and then dodge to the right again.

Keep to his side through out the fight basically. Watch for openings and punish them. He does do a stomp when you are there but it can be easily avoided.  He also does a short swing and a slam attack. Absorb his soul once he is down and move on.
