Disciples: Domination – Chapter 3 Walkthrough

Disciples: Domination Walkthrough

Disciples: Domination puts you in the shoes of Avyanna, a queen who’s trying to save a dying world. On your journey, you’ll encounter several companions who will join you, and you’ll have to progress through the story with their help. For more information on the game, don’t forget to visit its official Steam page here.

After Ormeriel’s passing, Avyanna receives a letter from Illmeren, and it appears that she’s in danger. Now, Avyanna will have to move on from her grief and head to the Plains of Agthos to find out what happened to her friend.

The Plains of Agthos

As you arrive in the Plains of Agthos, your first task is to head straight to the Tower of Jubilation. You’ll find it towards the southwest of where you arrived in the region.

When you arrive in front of the tower, you’ll find some demons from the legion standing guard. If you talk to them, you’ll have to fight against them to progress.

It appears that the guards were acting on the orders of Thur’gaal, a demon who used to be a trusted advisor of the queen in the past. After defeating the guards, you’ll have to head inside the tower.

The Tower Of Jubilation

You’ll find a fast travel point shortly ahead of the entrance. However, the gate leading upstairs is locked, and you’ll have to unlock it first.

The hallways on the left and right are connected, and you’ll find a lever on the other side that will unlock the gate in front of the stairs. After unlocking the gate, head back to the stairs and go up.

There’s a healing fountain on the second floor. If you go left, you’ll find another set of stairs leading upwards. On the upper level of the second floor, you’ll find a puzzle with four plates, each sharing the same rune.

If you step on one plate, it activates or deactivates the other plates. To activate all four plates at once, you have to step on the second plate from the left, and then the first plate on the left. This will open the gate where you’ll find a treasure chest.

The stairs that lead to the next floor are just next to the puzzle, and you don’t have to solve it to progress.

Sugdran

On the third floor, you’ll find Sugdran inside the cell where Illmeren was supposed to be. You’ll have to free him first to get him to talk.

If you go further left in the area, you’ll find a lever. Use the lever to set Sugdran free and then go and talk to him. Sugdran tells you that he saw Illmeren being taken to the Maw of Ashes, and that’s where you’ll have to go next.

The Maw of Ashes is in the center of the region, and it is connected by three bridges. However, if you approach the Maw of Ashes, you won’t be able to get in. There’s a cloud of death in the area, and that’s preventing you from entering.

You’ll also meet Aldryn here, an Undead. According to Aldryn, Ejamar might be able to do something about the cloud. However, you’ll have to go and find him first.

Finding Ejamar

Ejamar is hiding in Elma’ar. As you enter the area, you’ll be greeted by Pyrmelan, who’ll tell you that the Skyless Grove’s peace has been disturbed. You’ll have to check it out.

As you enter Skyless Grove, head towards your right. There’s a locked door here, but if you approach it, you’ll find it unlocked.

Here, you’ll find two gateways. There’s a note that says only one of them leads to Ejamar. However, you don’t have to be scared. The left gateway leads you to a room with a few treasures, but there’s a level 24 encounter here that you can safely retreat from.

The gateway on the right leads you straight to Ejamar. But, he’s prepared for battle. You’ll have to fight against his forces, and once you’ve won, he’ll finally recognize Avyanna.

He’ll join you on your journey, but warns you of Malekith, the Thrice-Woken. Ejamar can open the gateways in the dungeons and in the open world. Now, you have to return to the Plains of Agthos.

Dispelling The Cloud

Return to the Maw of Ashes in the Plains of Agthos, but this time, with Ejamar. Ejamar suggests that there might be some obelisks around the area that were put in place to keep the cloud going.

You have to find the first Obelisk, which is located shortly south of the western entrance of the Maw of Ashes. It will be guarded by some Undead enemies.

After that, you have to destroy the second Obelisk. You can find it to the east of the first one. However, when you arrive at the marked location, you won’t find an Obelisk here. Then, you have to make your way towards the third Obelisk.

When you arrive at the third Obelisk, you’ll find more enemies here. Defeat them and destroy the Obelisk to get rid of the cloud.

The Maw Of Ashes

Once the cloud has been dispersed, you’ll be able to enter the area with ease. As you enter, you’ll find a few members of the Mountain Clan.

Freya is among them, and she calls Avyanna the Endbringer. She also mentions the Witness before attacking your party. After you’ve defeated them, they’ll run away and open the path for you to proceed ahead.

The path inside the dungeon is quite straightforward until you reach the first healing fountain. From there, you have to go straight up, and you’ll find a broken bridge.

The bridge is the only way to get across, and now that it’s broken, Sugdran says that he can fix it. However, he warns you that strange things might happen, and he won’t be responsible for those.

Repairing The Bridge

As soon as Sugdran starts to hammer the bridge, Avyanna and the party are teleported to an alternate world. Keep going forward, and you’ll encounter two familiar faces.

Galthiel and Ormeriel are here, guarding a portal. You have to enter the battle and defeat them to progress. Keep in mind that while they appear in the story, they won’t be present in the battle.

After you’ve defeated them, you can use the portal behind them to travel to the next platform. Here, you’ll encounter the Witness.

Talk to the Witness, and then take the next portal. Here, you’ll find Thur’gaal and Malekith talking to each other. You’ll have to fight against them as well to progress.

If you take the portal after defeating them, you’ll arrive on the platform with three portals. Take the middle one now, and you’ll arrive in a throne room where you’ll have to fight against Freya.

After you’ve defeated Freya’s image, interact with the throne, and you’ll arrive in front of the repaired bridge in the Maw of Ashes. Talk to Sugdran here.

Chasing After Illmeren

Cross the bridge, and it’s Freya again. She’s holding Illmeren captive, and you’ll have to fight against her again. After defeat, Freya is ready to surrender her life to your hand.

However, I picked the options where Avnayya tries to explain to Freya that she’s doing something right. The Witness will appear here for a moment. However, once everything has settled down, you’ll be able to free Illmeren.

Once Illmeren is free, she asks you to go deeper into the dungeon and see what’s there. As you go there, you’ll find the Gate of Thorgoc, which leads to the source. However, the other end of the gateway has been destroyed.

After inspecting the gate, you have to leave the dungeon. As you exit the Maw of Ashes, you’ll unlock Avyanna’s Cosmic Blast Ultimate ability. There’s also an envoy outside.

The Challenge

Thur’gaal has sent an envoy, summoning you for the Melding of Steel. It is just an all-out war. Thur’gaal is asking you to gather your forces and face him in battle. Once the envoy is no more, Illmeren will leave to find the spies who sold her out.

Before the war begins, you’ll have to head back to your throne room and decide how you intend to deal with it. For the first question, you have to decide what happens to the people who are suffering from this war. I picked the option to send spies in the cover of emergency relief.

For the next question, you have to consider what to do with the Undead that are now gathered under the banner of Malekith. I chose the option for the queen to welcome any Undead warriors who wish to see Malekith’s demise.

After that, I picked the option to observe the terms of the contract to gain respect from the legions. In the final question, I picked the option to make sure the Legions are reminded of how the Liberator became the Liberator. These choices provide a decent bonus for all factions.

The Melding Of Steel

The battle against Thur’gaal’s forces is a tough one, and you should prepare well for it. Make sure you’re at least level 25 and have several spare units, as you’ll be facing subsequent battles here.

Once you’re ready, go and talk to Thur’gaal in the Plains of Agthos. Once the first battle is over, you can edit your party to add spare units if you’ve lost any during the first battle.

In the second battle, Thur’gaal will appear. He doesn’t have much HP, but his attacks deal a lot of damage, and you should try to take him out as quickly as possible.

Once the battle is over, Thur’gaal will tell Avyanna that she’ll end the world one day. He asks you to end his misery, saying that if you let him go, Malekith will come after him anyway. I picked the option to free him of his burdens.

After the battle, you have to return to Yllian and talk to Melendrach. In the meeting with your companions, you’ll decide that it’s best to go and see Malekith in the land of the Undead to find out more about what exactly is going on.
