Disciples: Domination – Chapter 4 Walkthrough

Disciples: Domination Walkthrough

Disciples: Domination features several different regions, each ruled by a different faction. You have to play the role of Avyanna the Liberator, a Queen who is trying to save the world by finding the Source. However, freeing the Source has its own consequences that the world might not be ready for yet. For more information on the game, please visit its official Steam page here.

The Severed Lands

Open the world map and head to the Severed Lands. Here, you’ll shortly encounter Illmeren, who arrived here searching for the ones who betrayed her. She joins your party permanently here.

Illmeren has the ability to break seals all over the map. She’s also very useful in battle with her ranged attacks. Once you’ve joined up with Illmeren, you have to head towards the marked location to the east.

As you arrive in the Land of the Undying Lords, you’ll find the clues left behind by Aldryn’s accomplices. After that, you’ll have to look for Aldryn as she might be in danger.

Follow the quest marker to arrive at Aldryn’s location, and you’ll find her surrounded by mercenaries. Defeat the mercenaries, and you’ll be able to talk to her. Aldryn will tell you about Othwar, and that he might be hiding in the Nursery.

The Nursery

The Nursery is right behind where you rescued Aldryn from the mercenaries. Enter the area and keep going deeper. You’ll find a few Undead here who will stop you from going further.

Defeat the enemies and keep going. You’ll then have to go downstairs. You’ll soon find a wooden bridge, and that will lead you to Othwar.

The Heroes’ Trial In The Nursery

Before reaching Othwar, you’ll encounter an optional puzzle called the Heroes’ Trial. There are several coffins here, and you have to place the plates in front of the coffin in a specific order.

There are three plates on the left and three on the right. The first plate to be pressed is the third one on the left. Then, step on the first plate on the right.

Once that’s done, press the second plate on the left. After that, you’ll have to step on the third and second plate on the right, respectively. This only leaves the first plate on the left.

As you step on the final plate, this will unlock the chest, and you will acquire a high-quality gear.

Shears Of Destiny

Othwar wants you to find Shears of Destiny, and it appears that someone else was also here to acquire the same object. Othwar gives you the keys to the door.

Return to the wooden bridge and take the path leading to the left. Open the locked gate. You should be able to open it now that you’ve acquired the key from Othwar.

This will allow you to go deeper into the dungeon. Keep following the stairs in the next level. Here, you’ll find a fast travel point. If you go deeper, you’ll find a few Undead surrounding some remains.

After you’ve defeated the enemies, Melendrach will be able to talk with the spirit of the culprit, and you’ll find out that the Shears have been taken to the Maze of Hunger. Exit the Nursery and head outside. You’ll find Othwar here, and you’ll have to talk to him.

Searching For The Maze Of Hunger

Othwar asks you to look for the Maze of Hunger, as the thieves might have taken the Shears there. Now, you’ll have to search for it. It is in the northern part of the region.

There’s a gateway here that leads you to some floating platforms, each with a few gateways. If you’re having trouble picking the right gateway, you should follow the quest marker’s direction.

Even if you’ve made a wrong choice in the area, it’s quite small, and you can get back on track, while also finding some treasure chests in the process.

On the last platform, you’ll find a familiar face. It’s Osric, Ethel’s father. He has been turned Undead, and even though you defeated him in Chapter 1, he’s back, unable to die and regretful.

You have to battle against him once again. After defeating him, you’ll acquire the Shears of Destiny. Bring the Shears back to Othwar outside the Nursery.

Aldryn’s Plan

After giving Othwar the Shears, you’ll have to find Aldryn and talk to her. Alrdyn says that she knows where the key for the Gate of Thorgoc is, and it’s inside the Still Court, the place where Malekith has set up a base of operations.

Aldryn suggests you get Malekith’s attention and get him out of the Still Court. Once he’s out, she wants you to sneak into the Still Court and grab the key. But this is a dangerous matter, and the queen must return to her throne to think about how she plans to proceed.

A Matter Of Ash And Bones

In this grievance, you’ll have to think about what you plan to do after drawing Malekith to Agthos, since luring him there will cause the subjects to suffer.

I picked the option to offer positions of power to Legions’ generals, as they’ll maintain the peace themselves.

For the next question, you have to decide who will lead the Hordes if you defeat Malekith in battle, if such a situation were to arise. I chose the option to let the Queen rule over the region.

The last option requires you to decide how you want to get Malekith’s attention. I picked the option to make the queen lead an attack against Malekith’s frontlines and leave before Malekith arrives.

Sneaking Into The Still Court

Once the decisions are made, you’ll have to leave for the Plains of Agthos. Find Malekith’s frontline in the region by following the quest marker and defeating them in battle. This should be enough to lure Malekith out, so you have to head back to the Severed Land.

After that, make your way to the Still Court. As you enter and progress ahead, you’ll find the path to the right blocked by a locked gate.

If you go left, you’ll find a seal on the wall. Break the seal, and the wall will disappear, revealing a chamber with a lever in it. Interact with the lever, and it will unlock the locked gate, and you’ll be able to progress ahead.

Keep going deeper, and you’ll find a healing fountain. There’s a path going south from here. Head over there and then go right. You’ll shortly find a lever that unlocks the iron gate.

Once you do that, go down the stairs, and the wall to your right will disappear, opening a room with a gateway and several coffins.

Go through the gateway, and you’ll arrive in an area with a statue and four gates. The statue opens the gate in whichever direction it’s facing. You can also rotate the statue by interacting with it.

Open the door to the left, and go through the gateway there. You’ll shortly arrive just outside the throne room.

Unlocking The Throne Room

You have to solve two puzzles to unlock the throne room. The room to the right has a lectern with two statues of elves and a spider statue, among other statues.

You have to rotate the statues as described in the lectern. The two female statues should be facing away from each other, while the death statue should be facing to the front.

On the right half, the human statue should be facing the wall. Make the spider statue and the statue holding a skull face the human statue, and that should light the torch.

For the next puzzle, you have to head to the room on the left. Here, you have to press the plates in the order that they’re displayed on the wall. Once you do so, it will unlock the throne room.

You’ll find an elf standing guard once the door opens. Defeat them in battle and go inside the throne room to find the key.

The Key

Avyanna will find the key inside the throne room. Interact with it. Aldryn will finally show up and reveal more information about the key and the strange artifact it’s trapped inside.

Helmer warns you that you have to be prepared before taking the key. As you finally interact with the key, Aldryn will betray you, summoning the same poison clouds that were present in the Maw of Ashes, causing the party to lie defeated as Aldryn flees with the key.

Shortly after, Othwar will arrive to rescue you. He’ll tell you that Aldryn, along with Malekith, is waiting at the Maw of Ashes in Agthos, and you should get there to get the key back.

Malekith, The Thrice-Woken

As you arrive in the Maw of Ashes, deepest floor, where the Gate of Thorgoc is, you’ll find Aldryn and Malekith.

Aldryn hands over the key to Malekith, but since he doesn’t have much use for her now, he erases her existence. Now, you’ll have to fight against him and defeat him to get the key and unlock the Gate of Thorgoc yourself.

As the battle begins, you’ll find Malekith on one side of the battle stage. There are also some crystals called Malekith’s Idols on the field. You can destroy them.

Some Undead are also affected by Malekith’s buff, which causes them to be defeated at the end of the round, while empowering Malekith. So you have to focus on defeating them first.

In the battle, don’t rush all your units to one side. Focus on the Undead enemies first before turning your attention to Malekith.

As you start dealing damage to the boss, the middle part of the battle stage will turn red. This shows that Malekith is about to go on the other side.

However, the most important thing you have to watch out for is the cracks. You can survive standing on the red zones, but if any of your units are standing on the cracked tiles, they’ll be immediately defeated and removed from the battle.

Once Malekith is on the left side, he’ll smash the ground once again, preparing to switch places once again. Make sure you properly avoid all the cracked tiles in this part.

Malekith will get in the middle of the stage. He won’t be jumping around anymore, so focus on defeating him instead of the positioning.

After you’ve defeated Malekith, the Witness will appear. It will throw Orion’s remains towards Avyanna, causing her to feel immense grief and shock. Everyone in the party then ends up being transported through the Gate of Thorgoc.
