Separated
After defeating Malekith, Avyanna uses the key on the Gate of Thorgoc amidst the chaos and is transported to an unknown area. Your companions and units aren’t here, and you have to find a way forward alone.
As you progress, you’ll shortly find Ethel ahead. She’s fighting against some enemies. You’ll have to join her and help her in the battle.

There’s a healing fountain here. If you take the right, you’ll find a gateway. Use the gateway, and you’ll reach a new platform. Here, you’ll find Ejamar.
Use the gateway to return to the main platform. There’s a fast travel point here, but it will be inactive. You’ll also find a Dwarf here, and you can talk to them to make them join your party.

Shortly ahead, you’ll find Illmeren. Help her defeat the enemies, and she’ll join you. After Illmeren has joined you, return to the area near the healing fountain, where you found Ethel. Take the path leading to the left, and you’ll find a gateway here.

Escaping From The Tunnel
As you teleport to another location inside the tunnel, go deeper, and there’s a wall with a seal on it. Interact with it, and you’ll be able to go deeper.
You have to find Melendrach here. He would be near a bloodrite spot. He says that you need the blood of Undead Crawlers to unlock the exit. Once the bloodrite is done, you can interact with it again to recruit an Elf Warden.

You can find these Undead Crawlers in a chamber inside the tunnel. Follow the quest marker to arrive at the precise location and then defeat the crawlers in battle.
After you’re done, you’ll find a basin just outside the chamber. Interact with it, and that will unlock the path forward. You’ll also find Helmer here. He’ll lead you upstairs, outside of the tunnel.

Undanheim
Once you’re outside, you’ll have to talk to Grimel Boulderhead. Your units and access to Yllian will also become available now.
You have to find the city of Undanheim. It is located towards the northeast part of the map. As you approach, you’ll find a Dwarven Mill outside of the city.

Interact with it first, and then you’ll have to reach for the gate. Here, you’ll find a familiar face. It’s Freya. Here, you can choose to let her go, or you can decide to fight against her.
I picked the option to let her live. After the conversation is over, you’ll have to talk to Grimel. He might know how to get into the city if they’re not willing to open the gates.

Fate of Undanheim
Fast travel outside the Abandoned Mines to talk to Grimel. He’s willing to help you get inside the city, but only if you’re able to provide a home for him and his people. You’ll have to return to your throne to make some decisions here.
However, keep in mind that this grievance requires you to have some resources, especially gold, to achieve a favorable result with all the factions. Make sure you have at least 10,000 gold before attempting it.

For the first question, you have to decide what the queen should do with other secret cities, like Undanheim. I picked the option to do nothing, as it raised the Mountain Clan’s faction by 10 points without consuming any resources.
The next question asks if you want to give Undanheim to Grimel or provide another place for Grimel and his people to settle in. I picked the option to allow Grimel to settle somewhere else.

For the last question, you have to decide if you want to welcome the Dwarves to Yllian or let them settle in Cragwell. I picked the option to let them settle in Yllian until a better place is found for them.
Once you’ve made your decision, you’ll have to return to Grimel to deliver him the news.

Grimel’s Determination
As you’re talking to Grimel, he’ll reveal the information about the Millennial Vaults and how the Abandoned Mines and Undanheim are connected through it.
While you’re talking to him, some enemies from the Undead faction will have caught up to you, likely using the Gate of Thorgoc. You’ll have to defeat them first.

Once the battle is over, head inside the Abandoned Mines. From the fast travel point, turn to the right. The wall that was previously here will be gone now.
As you reach there, you’ll find Grimel being attacked by more Undead enemies. Defeat them quickly. Unfortunately, Grimel will be no more after the battle, but you’ll be able to progress to the vault.

The Millennial Vault
Follow the path straight ahead, and you’ll arrive at the Millennial Vault, above the city of Undanheim. The gate here is locked, but you can find the key in the room to your left.
As you enter the main room, you’ll find that the elevator is broken. There’s a gate here leading outside, but the gate is closed. There are some Dwarven warriors standing guard, and you’ll have to defeat them.

Head right from the locked exit, and you’ll find a mechanism. Interact with it to start it. The elevator will then start working. You have to find a way to get out of this on the other floors. Keep in mind that you start on the first floor.
For the first step, you have to go to the fourth floor. There’s a mechanism to the right, but it’s guarded by a few Runic Sentinels. Defeat them and activate the mechanism.

There’s another mechanism on the left of the elevator. Activate it, and that will likely open the gates on the fourth floor. There’s a Rock Lord inside the chamber. Regardless of your choice, it will start a battle against you, and you’ll have to defeat it, but it is entirely optional.

Now, head to the third floor. There are also two mechanisms on this floor, and they activate the main doors leading outside on the second floor.
After activating both mechanisms on the third floor, take the elevator and go to the second floor. The door here will be unlocked. Use it to get into the city.

There’s also an optional puzzle on the second floor, where you have to rotate four plates with different runes on them. You can find these runes and their correct orientation in different areas of the second floor.

The Witness
As you enter the city, you’ll find Freya once again. However, she has completely lost her mind. She asks you to go under the Temple of Yaata’hally, where her people have raised Wotan from the dead.
If you head towards the quest marker, you’ll find the Witness standing in an area, surrounded by tainted mana. It will enter a battle with you.

The Witness is commanding different factions, and you can’t see the team composition or unit placement until the battle begins. However, the overall battle isn’t too difficult.
You have to get rid of the other enemies first. The Witness has a lot of HP, but it doesn’t deal that much damage, and if you’re around level 40, you won’t have any trouble.

Temple Of Yaata’hally
Before you enter the Temple of Yaata’hally, Helmer will warn you that you might not be able to come back once you go down there, so you have to prepare well. Get some extra units, just in case, for subsequent battles.
Consider it the point-of-no-return, and you should also take care of any optional and companion quests before heading down there because once the battle begins, you won’t be able to get back out.

Primal Seal
You’ll first have to undo the seals if you want to free the Source. Wotan is standing in the background to stop you. You’ll first have to destroy the Primal Seal.
As the battle begins, you’ll find some enemies on the stage, as well as the Primal Seal in the centre. On this stage, Wotan causes lightning bolts to strike down on certain tiles at the end of the round that are colored red.

Avyanna gains the Ultimate ability called Power of the Primal for these battles. This ability allows Avyanna to push all affected units by three tiles.
In this battle, your strategy should be to get rid of all the enemies first. Keep in mind that the Primal Seal can only be damaged by Wotan’s lightning. You have to position the Primal Seal on the red tiles.

Using ranged attacks on the Primal Seal pulls it towards the caster, provided that there’s a free tile in between. On the other hand, using a melee attack pushes the Primal Seal away by two tiles in the direction the attacker was facing.
Use your units to position the Primal Seal on the red tiles, and have Wotan attack it. It will take a few turns, but it will get down.

Divine Seal
Similar to the Primal Seal, the Divine Seal also cannot be damaged by regular attacks. You should try to get rid of all the enemies first.
For this battle, Wotan will inscribe runes on certain tiles. If any of your units is standing on these tiles, the Divine Seal will take 10% damage of its max Health. The more units you have standing on these runes, the more damage the Divine Seal will take.

On the other hand, if there’s an enemy unit standing on a runic tile, the Divine Seal will restore its HP by 5% of its max health. That’s why it’s best to get rid of the enemies first, and then you can bring down the Divine Seal in one or two rounds.

Wotan, Tainted Father Of The Dwarves
The battle against Wotan is in two phases. Both phases are very similar. In the first phase, you have a smaller-than-average battle stage. There are only a few enemies here, and you have to defeat them quickly so you can focus on the boss.
Wotan will keep pushing you away with its attacks, which is why having two or three ranged characters is extremely useful in this battle.

Avyanna also gets an Ultimate Ability called the Divine Shelter for the battle against Wotan, as well as another ability called Power of the Primal. Divine Shelter nullifies all damage for a round, but only in a few tiles around Avyanna.
Illmeren and Ejamar are great companions for this battle, as well as Melendrach. You’ll also need some tankers that can walk up to Wotan and attack him.

The battle is very straightforward. You have to avoid the red tiles while also continuing to attack the boss. Once you’ve brought its HP down to zero, phase two will begin, and Wotan will be back to full HP.

In phase 2, nothing really changes, except that Wotan is now back to full health. You have to keep following the same strategy, and you’ll be able to come out victorious.

Epilogue
Once the battle against Wotan, Tainted Father of the Dwarves, is over, the puppet acting as Orion will reveal its true nature. Regardless of the circumstances, Avyanna still chooses to set the Source free to save the world.

You’ll then see the ending scene, where you’ll see the companions inside Yllian. There’s a lot to take in in the epilogue as the world prepares for the Father of all Demons, Bethrezen.
