Welcome to Discounty. Your aunt’s handed you the keys to her discount supermarket, and now it’s your job to keep the shelves stocked, the customers happy, and maybe make a bit of money along the way. You’ll be arranging displays, cutting deals, and getting to know the locals — each with their quirks and opinions about your store.
In this walkthrough, we cover all the interactions, quests, and side quests needed to complete the story of Discounty. In this part of the walkthrough, we cover Day 14 and 15, we complete the story quests for Barbara, start fixing the old staircase and try to impress Tammy.
Table of contents
Day 14
Today is Sunday, so the store is closed. Lets go check on the staircase first.
Task: The Old Staircase

Once you get there, you will see there has been no change. You decide to give him another day.
Task: Surveying the Sea
Let’s go find Barbara and see whats the status on the deal. Well, she did get her product approved.

This will allow you to purchase Fishy Fishes from Barbara and unlock the 2nd Trade Tier with her for the Goal: Operating as a Real Supermarket. This will also complete the Task: Surveying the Sea.

Just to reiterate – You need to spend 2 perk points with each trader to unlock Tier 2 of the trade deal. In this case, at the time of writing I didn’t have a trade deal with Tammy and have not spent 2 points with either Karl or Fisher.
Task: Vermin Ties (Continued)
If you head to the recycling center now, you will notice rats again. Note down their location and then talk to Ted. He’s been feeding the rats.

Go back out to the center and inspect the bowl.

You will see that you need to give them their favorite food. Wait till Ted is outside patrolling the yard and ask him then. You need to feed them sheep’s chesee – but you can’t unlock them till you finish Karl’s quest for the second tier of his trade deal.
If you have any of the townspeople’s story events, explore the town and do them. We have covered them in previous chapters of this walkthrough. Otherwise, check on the store and end the day.
Day 15
Task: The Old Staircase (continued)
Check on the staircase and see that its still not fixed. You have to speak to Elmer again.

While you are near the harbor, speak to Barbara and stock up on Fishy Sticks and Fishy Fishes. Same with Karl and Fisher. Try to get all Trader products stocked up.

Go back to the store and order any item that is out of stock and put them on display. This is so that when Tammy comes in she finds everything she wants for the Goal: Operating as a Real Supermarket and Goal: A Factory Enshrouded.
Go find Elmer and have a chat about the staircase. You need to talk to Guy if he knows someone who can fix the stair case. Elmer can’t do it.

Go back to the store and set up for the day. Remember to have everything stocked and displayed. Check you challenges and reroll if you want to. Open the store when you are ready.
Goal: Operating as a Real Supermarket and Goal: A Factory Enshrouded (Continued)
Once Tammy walks in check her shopping list and prepare the prices in your head before she reaches the counter.

If you go fast then she will leave with the heart eyes emoji. Once the shift ends, clean the floors and order any item you need for the store. When Guy shows up, talk to him about the old stairs.

You have to speak to Gina about her contracting business when she walks in the store next. She is the one we got the tea shop from. If you step out of the store now, you can meet Tammy outside.

This will update the Goal: A Factory Enshrouded and update the Goal: Operating as a Real Supermarket. You have to visit Tammy when the factory reopens. She also wants you to take over the Key House next to the store. Head to Fisher now as you should have sold enough fish for a second Perk Point.

Spend it and then ask him to upgrade your deal to Tier 2. This will start the Task: Man Overboard. Come back to see Fisher tomorrow.
Task: Vermin Ties (continued)
If you haven’t yet, speak to Ted at the Recycling center about the rats.

He will tell you that you need Sheep Cheese to feed them. This can be purchased from Karl once you unlock Tier 2 for his trade deal – which I haven’t yet.
Tip: Keep an eye out at the Hardware store for the Appealing Shelf and the Processed Food Booster to move more Rolled Oats.
Tip: Keep an eye on your revenue as you need to have 8000 shills soon for the Goal: Profitable as a Real Supermarket.
There is nothing else going on in town so head to bed.
This concludes this part of the walkthrough for Discounty.
