Discounty Story Walkthrough – Day 6 & 7

Welcome to Discounty. Your aunt’s handed you the keys to her discount supermarket, and now it’s your job to keep the shelves stocked, the customers happy, and maybe make a bit of money along the way. You’ll be arranging displays, cutting deals, and getting to know the locals — each with their quirks and opinions about your store.

In this walkthrough we cover all the interactions, quests and side quests needed to complete the story of Discounty. In this part of the walkthrough we cover day 6 and 7 we start expanding the store and we learn about the stories of all the townspeople.

Day 6

Goal: Shopping Locally

As you exit your trailer – you will find Aunt Tellar waiting for you. She will ask you to expand the store and for that you need to talk to Elmer. This will complete “Shopping Locally” and start “Expand and Conquer”.

Off you go to Elmer – I found him at the park.

So the owner of the tea shop – the one we need to knock down to expand the store – works at the delivery company, and so you have to talk to Guy, the delivery guy. Her name’s Gina and she shops at Discounty from time to time. The only way Guy shows up is when you place an order. Head to the store and Aunt Tellar will stop you and tell you she has fired Grace. You have 3 options to respond – pick according to your choice. It doesn’t impact gameplay.

Task: Settling in (continued)

This will update the Task: Settling in. Head in and go to the computer to place an order and get Guy to show up. Once inside, this will complete the task ‘Settling In’.

At the computer – check your daily challenges. One of mine was to order 2 crates of Apples, so I did that. This got me the 3^rd Reward Point I needed for the Extra Pocket.

When Guy shows up ask him about Gina.

Gina wears a delivery uniform and has blonde wavy hair – also, her face is in the dialogue box. Check if you need to clean anything on the store floor, restock all the shelves and equip your pockets with all needed items before opening the store.

Once you are ready open the store. Serve customers – keep in mind of any challenges you have for the day. Gina will walk in later in the day – so speak to her.

She will ask you to talk to Derek from the Bank to facilitate the sale. Otherwise just finish the shift. Once the shift is over – check for empty boxes to recycle. Make sure they are the same type when stacking in threes. If you have skill points you can unlock new items for the store.

Tip: I unlocked Chocolate bars because they have the highest profit margin. A profit of 100 for a price of 40.

Head out and go to the bank to speak to Derek.

And the roundabout continues, with you now needing a permit for which you have to talk to Elmer. So head out and to the townhall to find Elmer.

Tip: While there print up some posters. More posters equals more footfall at the store.

He will prepare a permit for you but he needs to remove some papers for him.

This will take a few trips. So lets get cracking.

So after getting wrapped up in what seems like a government scandal – find Elmer again. Speaking to him again will get you the Expansion Permit. You have to speak to Derek again but the bank closes at 20:00 so head to his house near the farms.

You need 3000 shills to buy the tea-shop. Time to start saving.

Tip: If you have the money, buy shelves and coolers from the hardware store. You will need them after the expansion. If you have space and shills get any Booster he has for sale as well. This will allow you to get the money in faster.

There isn’t much else going on. So end the day.

Day 7

As this day starts, Aunt Tellar will give you the Customers (App) – this app tracks customers. Just like real life. This will unlock the Task: Making Acquaintances.

Task: Making Acquaintances

Since it’s a Sunday and the store is closed, let’s go meet everyone.

Tip: If you check the app, you will see that there are events that needs to happen with all the people in town but are locked as of now.

If you have been following this walkthrough, you should have met almost everyone. Except the factory owner, Tammy. If you have not met everyone, just check the map for the locations and just speak to everyone.

Customer Relation Event 1: Grace

If you head to the farms, where Tammy leaves you will see a hole in the road.

Inspect it to talk to Grace. You will see Tammy pass by as Grace explains the concept of private ownership of roads to you. You can find Tammy anywhere on the farmlands to speak to her.
