Dispatch Walkthrough – Episode 2 – Onboard

In Episode 2 of Dispatch, you’re introduced to Robert’s worklife as he juggles hero management, tough choices with his new colleagues, and the fallout from his past. This guide walks you through key decisions, conversations, and outcomes to help you start on the right foot.

SDN waiting lounge

After the commercial scene, you have a short conversation with Waterboy. You get to tell him what you think of Phenomaman.

I picked “Not a great actor.” As you are fixing Waterboy’s tie, Flambae walks in with his eyebrows burnt off.

If you had thrown water on him in the bar, he would have a tooth missing.

SDN Conference Room

After Blonde Blazer leads you into the conference room you have options to respond.

I picked “I don’t mind”. Blazer will talk about last night and depending on whether you kissed her or not your options might change.

If you want to pursue a romance with Blazer, pick “I’ll take your lead.” I picked “We were drunk”. This affects your romantic relationship negatively with Blazer. Invisigal will show up next. Robert admits that you kissed Blazer last night (if you chose to kiss Blazer last night). You get to respond at the end.

I picked “Let’s make the best of it”. Blazer will take you around the office. More dialogue choices follow.

I picked “How many heroes work here?” You will head off to the rest room next.

Restroom

You will meet Royd now. You will now have the option to bro fist him. In the restroom.

I chose to Bro Fist him. He will remember that. It might negatively impact your relationship with Royd if you don’t. You get to address his concerns regarding his nickname next.

I chose “No, I’m just kidding.” After Royd’s demonstration, head to the Records Room.

Records Room

After you meet Trackstar or rather Chase you have the options to respond to his aggressive hugging.

I picked “Do I know you?” Next dialogue choice.

I picked “I’m so sorry.” Next up, will be the Phoenix Program.

Phoenix Program

Chase will boot up some old computers and you can click through your roster of reformed super villains. Click through their folders to learn about them.

Exit the database when you are done.

Robert’s Desk

Your day job starts now. Below is a rundown of all the calls and who is the best fit, but sending the best fit hero doesn’t guarantee success.

Lost Balloon

Recommended: Invisigal or any hero with high Mobility

VAND-Go Opening

Recommended: Prism

Cray Cray Bidet (Hacking Sequence)

  • Start at the first Build Path (hammer icon) and complete the prompt.
  • On the second Build Path, finish the sequence to move down to the bottom path.
  • At the bottom Build Path, complete the prompt to form part of the route to the end.
  • Return to the middle Path and build upwards to connect to the top path.
  • Complete the top Path prompt to finish another section leading to the exit.
  • Finally, reach the green space, press M1, and drag the avatar down to finish.

Fight at Crypto Night

Recommended: Punch Up or Prism. There is a follow-up with a Prism exclusive option. Otherwise suggest badass sounding names.

Retrieve Stolen Boat

Recommended: Invisigal

Blaze in the Burbs

Recommended: Golem. For the followup pick Body, if you had sent Flambae you will have an exclusive option.

Museum Robbery

Recommended: Coupe or any available hero with high Mobility

Hack into the system.

  • Take the right path to the first green space and complete the prompt.
  • Move left to the first Build space and complete the prompt to create a leftward route.
  • Go to the second green space and complete its prompt.
  • Return to the Build space and recreate the path heading right.
  • Move up-right to reach the final green space and complete the prompt.
  • Land on the exit, press M1, and drag the avatar down to complete the sequence.

In the Zone

Recommended: Sonar

Apprehend Art Thieves

Recommended: Invisigal and Malevola

When your heroes level up, you can enter the Upgrade screen and spend their skill points however you see fit.

Vanderstenk Security (Two Options)

Option 1: Send any hero except Sonar — Slight relationship loss with Sonar, but XP gain for all heroes if successful. (Recommended: Punch Up)

Option 2: Send Sonar — Improves relationship with Sonar and grants 200% XP on success.

Juvenile Pickpocket at Large

Recommended: Prism. For the follow up give him a pep talk. If you have Malevola or Sonar on this call, you have different exclusive options.

Locate Stolen Art

Recommended: Coupe. For the follow-up, Invisigal and Coupe have exclusive options. Otherwise, pick protect the art.

When the call for Granny’s Donuts comes in, Invisigal will select herself. Tap into the call.

I picked “The Long cream ones.” There is an achievement tied to it, and Invisigal will remember that. Switch to a different camera by hacking the network.

  • Go to the first Build path space
  • Go down to the top Build space
  • Go back to the middle Build space and then create a path downward
  • Go down to the bottom Build space
  • Once again, go to the middle Build space and recreate the path up
  • Now, navigate all the way to the top right Build space
  • Then, go to the Key space and memorize the code: Up, Down, Left, Left
  • Go to the Lock space now and enter the code you just learnt
  • Finally, go to the exit space to finish the sequence

After the fight starts with Lightningstruck, you can pick any of the options.

I picked “Go Invisible!” Next up is another hacking sequence, though this one is on a timer.

  • Move to the right side and activate the Build Path space.
  • Head up to the top Key space and memorize the first part of the code: Up, Down.
  • Return to the Build Path and create a route to the second Key.
  • Go to the bottom Key space and memorize the second part of the code: Left, Up.
  • Proceed to the Lock space and enter the full code sequence.
  • Finally, move to the exit space to complete the puzzle.

Granny will join the fray now and you have options again.

I picked “Take out the thief”. This led to Granny being injured. Invisigal does the opposite of what you suggest, leading to Granny being injured anyway. You will be ranked on your performance next.

Break room

In the breakroom, speak to Invisigal.

I picked “You chose that life”. Next set of options.

I picked “You ignored my order.” As the conversation escalates, pick your option.

I picked “The suit isn’t Mecha Man.” Invisigal ended up punching me. It’s the same for all the other options. Also, she will remember this.

Blonde Blazer’s Office

As you review the day with Blazer, you will have the option to tell her what happened with Invisigal.

She will remember what option you pick regarding Invisigal. I picked “Invisigal punched me.” For the next choice –

I picked “I could’ve done better”.

Robert’s Desk

You will find Waterboy and a smashed donut on your console.

Outside SDN

You will have the option to ask Blazer out for dinner.

If you do pick that she will remember it and reference your conversation from the bar. I asked her for dinner. Someone will show up to ruin the fun.

I picked “Yeah, sounds fun.” Judging by how Blazer was motioning, I am guessing this hurts the relationship.

The screen will fade to black and this episode will end.
