Join us at Into Indie Games as we make our way through the Gray Chasm area of Divinum.
Fjor’s journey has only just begun after escaping the dungeon, but there is no time to rest. She must find a way back to her villagers and make it to the surface, where she can finally return to Hearthvale.
With the village still under Imperial control, Fjor needs to push forward, get stronger, and find a way to save everyone before it’s too late.
Table of contents
Grab The Hero Sacrament

After you exit the Slumbering Depths, from either the top or bottom exit, you will reach the Gray Chasm.
If you go from the top entrance, there is a Hero Sacrament that you can pick up, which we missed in our previous walkthrough.
Reach The Glyph

Here, go right and be careful of the rocks falling from the top, as they can damage you.
All you have to do is defeat the enemies along the way and platform until you find a Glyph. Restore it.
Grab The Manastone Shard

From the Glyph, jump across and then climb the wall to the left, and make your way to the top.

Head right, defeat the enemy here, and continue to the end of the path, where you will find another Manastone Shard.
Locate The Cursed Seal

Head back down and work your way to the right, where you will find another Cursed Seal.
As usual, you can try to complete the challenges here, but if you’re struggling, just leave them for later when Fjor grows stronger. It will be marked on your map.
Mark The Location For Later – 1

Past the Seal, platform your way to the right until you reach the end of the path where you need to climb up. Climb all the way up until you spot a wall with blue markings to your left.
Destroy the wall and go left, where you will find an enemy waiting for you. Defeat it, and you will come across a platform that you can reach on the other side because of the metal thorns.

Mark this location on your map, because we’ll come back to it later when we get the movement ability needed to reach it.
Now go back, head right, and move on to the next room.
Defeat Imperial Tracker Rufus

This is a long hallway, and you need to go all the way to the right until an Imperial soldier stops you.
Tracker Rufus uses a Kusarigama and teleports around the arena. When close by, he swings his weapon in usually two attacks, which are relatively easy to parry. Alternatively, you can dodge behind him and land a few hits.

After every move, he will change his position. After you land enough hits, he will get staggered easily. This is your chance to throw everything you have at him.
Rufus will recover and then start using a new attack. Rufus will turn into shadow and dash through the screen, leaving a bo-shuriken that will emit a red line showcasing where it will attack.

Don’t worry about parrying, as you only need to track these shurikens and avoid them. After several of them, Rufus will be back in the middle of the arena and use his Kusarigama attack.
Your best opening is after the melee attack, and you need to exploit that.

Around halfway through the fight, Rufus will summon two enemies to help him, and it is important that you deal with them first. You don’t want to lose one HP to a basic enemy.

He also adds another attack where he goes to one of the edges of the arena, holds his weapon for a brief second, and extends his weapon for an attack.
This is another one that you can easily parry. Otherwise, you can just dodge at the last second.

The fight remains the same, only he starts becoming more aggressive, where he starts performing his attacks quicker and more often, but nothing too scary.
Learn The Weapon Skill: Impale

Once you defeat Rufus, you will find a rune that you can touch and obtain a new weapon skill, Impale.
This is very useful when you have a bunch of enemies on you, as it bursts blades from the ground and deals continuous damage.

Feel free to try it out while you’re near the rune, as your mana regenerates quickly, and you will be able to swap between skills here. Make sure you keep Heal because it’s the only way to restore HP, for now.
If you head right, you will reach a new location called Dim Crossing.
And with that, we wrap up another walkthrough for Divinum. Thanks for checking it out!
