Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined is filled with a variety of different islands, where you have to head to the past and deal with their problems to make the island appear in the oceans of the present. So far, you’d have populated the seas around Estard Island in the present with many new islands. For more information on the game, don’t forget to visit its official Steam page here.

Winged People Of Aeolus Vale
Out of all the islands you’ve visited so far in the past, Aeolus Vale stands out as the people here are different. These people belong to a race called Cirrus and possess the gift of flight, except for one.
As you reach the east side of the Aeolus Vale, you’ll find a little girl called Fidelia being troubled by a few boys, since she doesn’t have any wings and can’t fly like them.

There’s not much you can do here right now, so it’s best to make your way ahead towards the sanctum. You’ll find out that there’s a sanctum here that has been shrouded in darkness.
As you make your way ahead from the Vale, you’ll arrive at the Custodian’s Camp. You’ll have to pass through here to get to the sanctum.

Custodian’s Camp
If you approach the house to the north of the camp, you’ll spot a Cirrus lady landing from the sky and entering the house.
If you follow her, you’ll find her discussing the current situation of the sanctum with her partner, claiming that it’s full of monsters. From here, you have to exit the camp and head to the Sullied Sanctum behind it.

Sullied Sanctum
The Sullied Sanctum is full of challenging monsters. You have to keep going deeper here. You won’t find any staircases in the first section, but there’s one leading to the basement in the second section, where you’ll find a Lightning Staff.
After acquiring the staff, return to Level 1 and keep going deeper until you arrive in the area with the laser. Here, you have to rotate the mirrors around to guide the lasers, and that will open up the path for you.

Rotate the first mirror so the laser is pointed towards the right. The second mirror should point towards the north, and that will open up a path leading to a chest.
After opening the chest, rotate the third mirror towards the north. This will open another path, leading you forward. The fourth mirror should point towards the left.

If you rotate the fifth mirror, it will open a path to another chest. After opening the chest, head to the sixth mirror and make the laser point north.
From here, the seventh mirror should point left, and the eighth mirror will lead you to the other side of the sanctum if you make it point north.

You’ll enter a chamber here where you’ll find the boss of the area, a monster called Vaipur.

Fighting Against Vaipur
Vaipur is fairly vulnerable to magic attacks, but he’s resistant to earth magic and most status effects.
The boss will also repeatedly cast Sleep on your party, so make sure you have some sort of counter for that. It also casts wind spells.

However, Vaipur is still not as strong as some of the bosses you’ve dealt with in the past, such as Gracos, and you’ll be able to come out victorious with ease.
Once you’ve defeated the boss, it will open the door behind him, leading you out of the Sullied Sanctum.

Sanctum Of The Cirrus
Shortly ahead of the Sullied Sanctum, you’ll find the Sanctum of the Cirrus on the map. Head inside the Sanctum of the Cirrus and take the stairs on the right. This will lead you to Level 2 of the area.
You’ll be able to reach the staircase leading to Level 3 just fine. On Level 3, you’ll find these pathways that can be rotated if you step on the switch. Rotate the pathway on this Level to open a path forward.

You’ll then enter Level 4, which leads you to the outside of the Sanctum, where you can circle and enter from the other side.
If you keep going and following the breeze, you’ll enter a chamber with a stone that’s emitting the wind on a pedestal. Take the Sacred Stone and return to Aeolus Vale. You can cast Zoom to immediately arrive in the valley.

The Sacred Stone’s Worth
As you return to the Vale, head to the west side and enter the house above the inn. The house belongs to the Praetor of the vale, Fidelia’s father. You’ll also find a stone fragment here.
Then you’ll have to talk with Fidelia’s grandmother and her father. You’ll also give them the Sacred Stone. As such, the night will pass, and you’ll wake up the next day.

Head to the Praetor’s house, and you’ll find out that the Praetor’s mother gave the Sacred Stone to Fidelia to throw it in the river. She believes that a rock can’t be the reason behind their blessing and their gift.
Go to the west side of the Aeolus Vale, and you’ll notice that the breeze suddenly stops. There’s no sign of any wind, and all of the Cirrus fall to the ground, and most of them lose consciousness.

Now, you have to go to the top of the west side, and here you’ll find Fidelia hanging by the cliff. Someone pushed her, and she’s barely hanging on. After a while, she drops, but the sacred stone’s power saves her, allowing her to fly.

Fidelia’s Resolve
Return to the Praetor’s house, and here you’ll find out that the Sirrus of the Sanctum is the reason behind the winds being halted. It will also be revealed that Fidelia, the girl who believed she was adopted and didn’t belong to the Cirrus, was actually the Praetor’s real daughter, just born without wings.
Praetor’s mother asks you to take Fidelia to the sanctum, as she might be able to save it. You’ll then have to Zoom to the Sanctum of the Cirrus.

Go to the room where you picked up the Sacred Stone from and place it back on the pedestal. There’s a gate here that can only be opened by someone from the Cirrus lineage.
Fidelia is able to open the gate, allowing you to go deeper into the Sanctum. You’ll then be able to enter Level 4 of the Sanctum from the sides, giving you access to the switches to rotate the pathways.

Here, you have to rotate the pathways in such a way that the breeze from the sacred stone reaches the statue outside.

Cumulus Vex
Once you’re successful, the statue of the goddess outside will break free from the darkness. But your job isn’t done here. Fidelia will go back to grab the Sacred Stone from the pedestal.
You’ll then be greeted by Cumulus Vex, the Demon King’s Pawn in this era. You’ll have to fight against it.

This boss summons Sky Fry enemies throughout the battle. Keep casting moves that affect multiple enemies, such as Kaboom, and you’ll be able to defeat this boss, alongside its minions, with ease.
Once the battle is over, the dark skies will clear, and Fidelia will arrive with the Sacred Stone. You’ll then have to head back to the Vale.

Aftermath
As you return to the Praetor’s house, the Praetor and Fidelia’s grandmother will congratulate you. Grandmother still refuses to believe the worth of the sacred stone, but after hearing how it saved Fidelia, she takes her outside.
Fidelia, using the power of the sacred stone, is able to fly alongside her grandmother. However, she chooses to give it up, offering to give you the Sacred Stone. She is content with knowing that she’s one of the Cirrus. You’ll then take the Sacred Stone and return to the present.

Aeolus Vale Of The Present
As you arrive in the present and pay a visit to the valley, you’ll find out that the present descendants of the Cirrus are all without wings.
Head to the Sanctum of the Cirrus and make your way to the room with the pedestal. Here, you’ll find a stone fragment where the Sacred Stone used to be on the pedestal.

You can then return to the Shrine of Mysteries to continue your journey. You can also head to the Pool of Piety, now that you’ve acquired the Sacred Stone of the legends.
