Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined Walkthrough

Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined has you traveling between the past and the present to restore the islands that have mysteriously disappeared from the map. Restoring these islands requires you to gather stone fragments, and then you have to travel to that island and get rid of the Demon King’s influence on them. After saving the Frobisher region and dealing with E.L.L.I.E’s tragedy, you’ll have to head to the Shrine of Mysteries to travel to another area.



Roamer Encampment Region

As you arrive in the region, you won’t find any major cities or villages. There’s only a small nomadic camp called Roamers. You’ll find a stone fragment just as you enter the camp.

Now, you have to go and talk to the people in the tents. You’ll find out about a girl named Lala, and that she’s a dancer for some sort of ritual.

After you’ve talked to everyone inside the tents, go and talk to the man guarding the big tent near the entrance. Shortly after, the village elders will come out of the tent, alongside Lala and her fiancé, Florin. Florin is a torban player while Lala is a dancer.

Talk to the elders, and then you’ll decide to stay for the night in the camp and enjoy the festivities for a successful ritual attempt.

Kiefer And Lala

As you roam the camp at night while enjoying the festivities, you’ll find Kiefer standing outside of Lala’s tent. He wants to talk to her because he thinks she’s worried about something. You’ll have to go to the shop towards south east of the camp to get a Spirit of the Dance drink to fix Kiefer’s nervousness.

Give Kiefer the drink, and he’ll go and talk to Lala. Shortly during the conversation, Florin will arrive, and he scolds Kiefer. Things will get heated, but you’re able to calm everyone, and morning comes.

However, in the morning, you can’t find Lala in the tent. You hear a scream from the outside, and the entire camp is attacked by monsters.

Here, you have to go towards the southern exit of the camp, where you’ll find Boldo, Lala’s father, fighting against the monsters. Help him out and defeat all the monsters.

Monsters And The Forest

You and Kiefer will have to head over to the forest through the southern exit of the camp, while Ruff and Maribel handle the situation inside the camp. The path to the forest is straight ahead from the southern exit.

As you enter the forest, you’ll find Lala protecting the child from a monster. Go and fight against it. After rescuing Lala, you’ll have to return to the camp with her and Kiefer.

Journey To The Altar

After a long day and night, it is decided that you’ll be accompanying the village elders, Florin, and the others, while Kiefer will be staying behind with Lala alone in the camp and will depart shortly afterward to follow.

To get to the Altar, you’ll have to leave the camp from the southern exit and go through the Nameless Forest.

Once you’ve come out of the Nameless Forest, you have to keep going on the path until you end up near a small lake in the southwest part of the island.

Rest in the tent as the elders think of a way to uncover the altar, which is supposedly submerged under the lake. After you wake up, Foblin will come with you to the Poolside Cave.

The Poolside Cave

As you enter the Poolside Cave with Florin, you’ll find many chests in the first level that are empty. You won’t find any stairs in the first room.

The second room is filled with water, and there are some chests here, but you’ll have to drain the water to access them. Fortunately, there’s a staircase on the left side of the room.

You’ll then arrive in Underground Level 1. Here, there are plenty of chests, but some of them are Canniboxes or Mimics. If you open the map on this level, you’ll find two staircases that lead deeper into the cave.

Head for the cave that’s towards the north in the level. You’ll then arrive in Underground Level 2. Here, Florin will read a stone inscription that says that a chest near a wintry bath will open a path forward.

If you go south in the cave, you’ll find a box that’s next to a small body of water. Opening the chest will cause something to move within the cave.

There’s a staircase leading to Underground Level 3, where you’ll find a non-hostile Healslime. The slime tells you that you need to put the Chimes of the Chosen on the altar to drain the water on Level 1 of the cave.

Just behind the slime, there’s another stone inscription. Florin will bring out the Chimes of the Chosen. Bridges of light will appear in the cave, allowing you to progress deeper. Don’t forget to pick up the stone fragment in this level.

After you take the staircase on the last level, you’ll end up at the altar. Interact with it, and that will drain all the water from the first level. You can just go south in this room to return to Level 1 of the cave. Be sure to open the chests before you head out for the ritual.

Now Is Not The Time

As the ritual preparations are being held, the elders will realize that not all of the signs are in place for the awakening of their deity, the Almighty. Florin is upset and still wants to go ahead with the ritual. However, in doing so, he turns into a monster.

You’ll now have to fight alongside Lala to defeat Florin in the monster form. Floring is weak to lightning and resistant to fire. Lala will also keep buffing and healing you throughout the fight.

Once you’ve defeated Florin, he’ll turn back into a human. The party will then shortly return to the Roamer’s Camp. You’ll catch Kiefer and Florin talking during the night.

Kiefer then asks you to follow him for a chat. You’ll then have to head over to the cliff overlooking the ocean. You can find this location just before the Nameless Forest, after exiting the camp from the southern exit.

Kiefer’s Decision

Kiefer has made his decision to stay behind in the Roamer’s Encampment with Lala. He tells you how he feels in detail and hopes that you’ll understand why he’s doing it.

The next morning, you’ll find Kiefer dueling with Lala’s father, Boldo, the guardian of the Roamers. After winning the duel, Kiefer becomes the new guardian. He gives you a letter and all of his equipment. He asks you to deliver the letter to his father.

The party will leave after completing their task. You’ll then have to return to present and head to Estard Castle to give Kiefer’s letter to King Donald.

King Donald accepts the letter and rewards you with a stone fragment. Now, you need to go to the newly appeared island in the present.

Roamer’s Encampment Region In The Present

As you approach the area for the first time, you’ll find no signs of Roamers in the region. Instead, there’s an archeological digsite here.

You can pay the guard five gold coins to get a chance to see a giant skull with two golden horns. You should pay the coins and check this skull out, as it will turn out handy in the future.

There’s also a stone fragment in this room. Once you’ve obtained the stone fragment, it’s time to return to the Shrine of Mysteries and prepare for your next adventure.
