Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined – Walkthrough Part 7: Regenstein’s Sole Survivor

Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined Walkthrough

Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined features a variety of different worlds, with each one going through a unique situation that you have to help them out with. When you head back in time, you’ll find that some of these islands were connected to each other before they disappeared, and that connection may be the answer to many puzzles. For more information on the game, please check out the game’s official Steam page.

Regenstein is unlocked by gathering four grey fragments for the first grey pedestal. You can access this island before or after completing the Roamer’s Encampment region.

A Village Turned To Stone

As you arrive in the Regenstein region, you’ll find a small island covered in dark skies. Approach the village on the cliff, and you’ll find that the entire village has turned to stone.

The people here have frozen in time as they turned to stone. However, they’ve worn down a little, possibly from being out in the open for many years.

Regenstein’s Survivor

The entire village has turned to stone, but there is one old man who remains human. You can find the man in the north of the village, near a well.

The old man then tells the story of what happened fifty years ago, when rain from the purple clouds turned the entire village to stone.

The only reason the old man, Klemens, was able to survive was that he was out of town to gather supplies. When he returned, he found the village turned to stone, including his betrothed.

Klemens then went on a journey to find a cure that could heal his village. He did find a cure, an elixir called Angel’s Tears. However, decades had passed since he first sat out on the journey.

Memories Of The Village

Even though Klemens had found the cure, he had hesitated to use it. The decades in the open had caused the statues to crack, and Klemens feared that turning them back to humans in this state wouldn’t end well.

Klemens then asks you to find a place to sleep for the night. He asks you to meet him on the elevated space in the village the next morning, when he’ll attempt to cure the village.

The statues will start to glow. You can interact with these glowing statues to catch a glimpse of their memories.

As you watch the memories, you’ll notice that one young boy is missing from the village. If you go to the house in front of the bar and interact with the bookshelf there, you’ll find that this boy has discovered a secret space in the village.

The Secret Space

There’s a dark patch on the west side of the village. If you interact with it during the night, you’ll feel that there’s something beneath it, but you’re not sure. You have to rest the night at the inn.

In the morning, you’ll find a self-reminder in front of the dark patch. Check the self-reminder and then interact with the patch to uncover stairs.

The secret space will lead you to the elevated platform in the middle of the village, where you’ll find Klemens.

Moment Of Truth

Klemens asks you to use the Angel’s Tears. As you do so, the souls from each of the statues in the village will leave their bodies and travel to the heavens.

Klemens is quite upset. However, there’s another dark patch on the east side of the village. A staircase will show up underneath it, and a little boy will come out.

This boy had turned to stone while he was underground, and since his statue was preserved, he was able to be cured easily. Klemens and your party will then bring the boy up to speed.

Departure

Klemens had told Felix everything that had happened in the last 50 years. The boy agrees to stay with Klemens, and they’re both heading out on a journey to warn the other villages about the curse of the purple rain.

You’ll get to keep the Angel’s Tears for yourself, in case you encounter a similar situation again in your travels.
