This walkthrough will cover DragonSword: Awakening Chapter 2.
Johnny wasn’t backing down from Noden’s rejection of his group’s first major quest. After brute-forcing his way through the process, we finally received a major quest from the Organa Order to find a dragon relic. Despite all the challenges, Johnny’s mercenaries beat the Red Fox Mercenaries to it. And now, we start the second chapter of the game: Savior of the World.

The Legend of the Six Heroes and the Origin Dragon

With our first major, unofficial quest success, talk to Johnny. Since the dragon relic quest didn’t count, as per the Organa Order’s request, he’s baffled, and now the group has to continue taking the low-level requests. For that, talk to Anne at the reception. She gives us a quest to clean the statue of the six heroes.
Go to the square to find the statue. Unfortunately, everyone backs out of the quest since they’re “tired.” It’s only you now. Get up on the statue and clean six of its spots. Lute will comment on their looks, and once you’re done, talk to Aria. You will notice something here: there are only five statues.

She will tell you about the Six Heroes, who managed to save the Orbis kingdom from the existential threat of Arugal, a massive dragon. Additionally, we learn about the Dragon Dust, which comes from the body of Kalagon, whom Goddess Organa slew to save the Orbis Kingdom before the Six Heroes.

Hearing this, Johnny gets an idea. Talk to him, and he’ll mention how his mercenaries can make a living off selling Dragon Dust, which is considered a rare material in the kingdom. However, it’s not that easy, but he has a plan: keeping an eye on the Order’s movement.
The Order’s Secret

The first quest ends with Johnny’s conversation. Now, find him near the Order, and he will tell you to talk with Lady Theresia, the inquisitor of the Organa Order. Johnny, as usual, talks to her in a ‘weird’ manner and tries to bargain about the Dragon Dust, but Castella cuts him mid-conversation.
Talk to him again, and Aria will tell us that Theresia is a Heretical Inquisitor. She has enough power in the kingdom to have anybody executed if they’re suspected of Heresy. Suddenly, the Order soldiers exit the cathedral, and Johnny thinks of it as a perfect chance to tail them.

“The Order’s Secret” quest ends here.
The Sixth Hero

After the soldiers leave, use your Familiar and head outside the castle from the gate ahead. It’s 500 meters away, and there’s an Eona’s Legacy tower near the objective; activate it to unlock a fast-travel point. If you’re having trouble with burning the cobwebs off the tower, use Aria’s bomb.
Now, head towards the objective and defeat the enemies in your path. A few moments later, you will reach ruins where the soldiers are uniting. They bow down, and as the mercenaries watch them, the sixth hero, Saintess Yresa, walks forward.

Knowing how Johnny acts when he’s excited, he and Castealla accidentally fall to the ground. Lute and Aria follow them, and he tends to their injuries. Seeing this, the guards surround them, but Yresa tells them to stop. Knowing Lute has healing power, she calls him “interesting” and asks us to follow her into an open area.

There, Yresa tells us about the hero, Ropie, who isn’t the statue; she’s here to fight him. Ropie is a traitor who has hidden something, and she wants to know the location. However, he doesn’t want to hand it over this easily. So, here, you will take control of Saintess Yresa to fight against him.

Unfortunately, you’re bound to lose this fight. No matter what you do, Yresa will lose. As she bleeds out, a dragon rushes into the open area, and with this distraction, Ropie goes away. It is Furcas, the dragon you fought in the dungeon.
Defeat the dragon, and after the threat is gone, Yresa will bleed out. Before passing away, she tells Johnny and Lute to share her final words with Ornette. She wants Lady Ornette to become the leader of the Organa Order, and she shouldn’t follow the same path as Yresa.

Now, talk to Johnny. Everyone in the group is worried that their little endeavor turned into something unexpectedly huge. The only right thing to do right now is to visit the cathedral and talk to Lady Ornette. The quest ends here.
The Day the Sacred Great Star Fell

Return to the Orbis Castle to talk to Ornette; use Organa’s Statue to fast-travel there. Go inside the cathedral to find her and share Saintess Ysera’s final words.
Ornette was prepared for her death, as the saintess used to say that her time was running out. Ornette asks us how much information we have about the Dragon Dust. Lute tells her that the dust came from Kalagon’s body and is now used as a key resource all over the kingdom.

According to her, the Dragon Dust can be eaten too to harness new powers. However, it’s more of a sudden death sentence for a normal human. Additionally, Dragon Dust can attract nearby monsters, which explains why Furcas was following the mercenaries.
Saintess Ysera had ingested Dragon Dust to defeat Arugal, as she didn’t have enough power to defeat it. Still, in the end, Ornette asks us to keep everything a secret. Leave the cathedral and talk to Johnny. There, the group decides to ditch Johnny’s antics since they have led to nothing but misadventures. After this conversation, talk to Anne at the reception for more quests.

However, no quests are available as everyone is mourning Saintess Ysera. So, the group decides to take a break, and Johnny throws a party for Lute’s addition to the group; it’s late now, but he remembers it.
We get a glimpse of everyone celebrating at the tavern, and this quest ends.
Ornette’s Request

After the celebration, talk to Johnny. This conversation leads nowhere until the group sees Theresia walking to them. Talk to her, and she will tell us that Saintess Ornette has requested our presence at the Antea Grand Cathedral.
There, Saintess Ornette asks for our assistance with Ysera’s funeral. Since it’s a staple to give everyone a handful of Dragon Dust at a funeral, she tells us how the Order’s stock is running out. To fix this, Ornette gives us coordinates to another Altar of the Dragon Dungeon to find a Dragon Relic.

The group accepts her request. Leave the cathedral and head towards the dragon dungeon. Teleport to the Meadow of Beginnings’ Eona’s Legacy, then glide your way to the objective’s location. Additionally, don’t forget to activate the next Eona’s Legacy in that region.
Reach the Altar of the Dragon and head inside; don’t forget to level up your heroes. In the dungeon, ascend the staircase to find a locked door. Push the pillar to your right on the platform to open it. Fight against the four level 20 enemies, then push the two pillars to unlock the next room.

One of the pillars is unreachable. See the cracked wall behind it? Attack to break it, and then push the statue. However, there’s a secret pillar through the broken wall. Go ahead and push it to unlock the door. The next room is full of corridors that will lead you to a small chamber with three platforms, but only a single pillar.
First, place the pillar on the upper-left platform to unlock the door ahead. Fight the enemies, then get the second pillar out of that room and place it on the second platform, bottom right. This will lead you to the third pillar, but it’s immovable due to the locked door behind it; there’s no space.

So, return to the previous room and move the upper-left pillar to the adjacent platform. Push the pillar outside, and you will find another platform there. Push it, and the next room will unlock. There you will find the Dragon Relic, but before the party can claim it, the Dragon Worshipper will teleport you to a trap.

Run forward while dodging the spiked wheels, and get ready to fight the Worshipper. They will spawn numerous enemies to halt your movement, but you only have to focus on the boss. Defeat the enemies if they come close, and in a few minutes, the boss will be defeated.
However, they don’t back down that easily. The Dragon Keeper spawns a boss named Vanak the Bloody Hook, who’s a giant ogre and can be a bit tricky to defeat if you’re just mashing buttons.

Vanak has only two combos: Swiping its sword twice and mashing the ground with its legs. Dodge through them, keep attacking the boss, and you will defeat it. With its defeat, you will find the Dragon Relic, and the quest will end.
Preparing for the Funeral

After a successful endeavor in the Altar of the Dragon, return to the Orbis Castle and talk to Ornette. If any hero of your party fell in the dungeon, pray to any of Organa’s statues to replenish their health.
Head inside the cathedral to meet Ornette, and she will request that we deliver letters to the most influential factions of their world: The Orbis Royal Family, the Amber Trading Group, and the Organa Order. Since it’s a request from the Organa Order, we have to deliver the letters to the other two factions.

Exit the cathedral and head towards King Roderic’s palace, the king of the Orbis Kingdom. Talk to the guard outside the gate, and he’ll go and fetch Knight Commander Reina to hear your request. After she meets with you, go into the castle to find King Kalsion on his throne.

He appreciates Ornette’s gesture and asks us to forward his message that he’s moved by the determination of their order, and sends his deepest condolences. The “Preparing for the Funeral quest ends here.
Experience as a Special Diplomatic Envoy

Once you deliver the letter to King Kalsion, move towards the Amber Trading Group’s building, the Milan Main Hall, in the castle’s square. As soon as you reach the entrance, the merchant bodyguard tells you that the caravan master is anticipating us.
Move forward to meet with Lyn, the Caravan Master of the Amber Trading Group. She knows everyone who enters and leaves Orbis. After she reviews the contents of the letter, Lyn tells us she will be joining Ysera’s funeral and finds her death deeply regrettable. However, she believes that the way the Organa Order is distributing the Dragon Dust to people at Ysera’s funeral, they will control the public sentiment.

With this, return to Saintess Ornette. Before we leave, she asks us to join the funeral as well. The party feels honored and gladly accepts the invite. And here, the “Experience as a Special Diplomatic Envoy” quest ends.
Despair and Hope

The strongest factions have received the letters. Leave the cathedral and head towards the Cemetery of Rest for Saintess Ysera’s funeral.
Everyone is already there. So, with Johnny’s mercenaries’ presence, Saintess Ornette begins the funeral. As she gives her speech, the weather turns dreadful, and suddenly, a giant, dark dragon soars to the ground; it’s unlike anything anyone has seen before.

The dragon then transforms into a half-human, who calls himself Largo, one of the Origin dragons. He’s here to punish everyone for slaying dragons, his brothers. However, he sets a condition: if someone can slice the dragon statue in a single swipe, he will leave.
Out of the blue, Johnny jumps on Largo and says that he will slay him and slice the dragon statue; how bold of him. Now, you take control of Johnny and have to battle against Largo. Unfortunately, this is a scripted fight, and you will lose despite how many blows you deal to him.

Johnny manages to block many of his attacks until Largo kicks him and holds him mid-air with magic. He tries to make an example out of him, but before that happens, an older man arrives and sends a massive magic wave towards Largo that startles him and destroys the dragon statue.
Seeing this, Largo keeps his promise and leaves. However, he will return with his seven brothers; Lute feels strange for some reason. King Kalsion calls the older man “master,” indicating he’s someone extremely strong. His name is Ewald, who serves as the sword of Azure Flames. He finds Johnny amusing, as he single-handedly tried to face an Origin dragon, and wants to have a chat with him later.

Now, talk to Saintess Ornette, and she will ask the party to meet her at the Antea Grand Cathedral, as the cemetery just went through chaos. Return to the Orbis Kingdom and talk to Ornette at the said location. Due to the attack at the Cemetery of Rest, she couldn’t deliver the Dragon Dust to anyone. She asks for our help to deliver it to the people in need, and the quest ends when the mercenaries accept it.
Help from the Order

Exit the cathedral, and the group will decide to deliver the Dragon Dust in the list’s order. First, head to the Alchemy shop and talk to Shanoa, the alchemist. Then, go to the Blacksmith, whom Castella calls “an annoying old man.”
Talk to Modan, the blacksmith, and the group has a pretty… interesting interaction with him. Deliver the dust, and then move towards the residential area. The party will hand out the dragon dust to everyone. After that, head to the Amber Trading Company’s street to find two people arguing about whether the news of the Origin dragon is true.

This makes our party realize that this news is going to reach the northernmost parts of the continent in no time at this rate. After delivering the Dragon Dust to everyone on the list, the “Help from the Order” quest ends.
The Hero’s Quest

Report to Saintess Ornette that you have delivered the Dragon Dust to everyone she asked you to. There, she reveals that Lord Ewald, the individual who drove Largo away, is one of the six heroes who defeated Arugal.
While we were delivering the dust all over the square, she visited Orbis Castle, and Lord Ewald requested the presence of Johnny’s mercenaries. Hearing this, Johnny is stoked. Go to King Roderic’s Castle and meet Reina there.
Johnny will act all high and mighty since he fought Largo at the Cemetery, but Lute and Castella tell Reina to let this slide, as she gets angry over his demeanor. After this conversation, head inside the castle and meet with Lord Ewald. He is in the library, which is to the left of the throne room.

Talk to Ewald, and he will tell you the full story of how he and the other heroes fought against Arugal, and why Ropie is considered a traitor.
Arugal was extraordinarily powerful, even for the legendary six heroes. To defeat it, Ysera told everyone to ingest the Dragon Dust to level their powers with Arugal; she was the first one to do it. One by one, everyone followed her, except Ropie.

The five heroes barely managed to defeat Arugal, but they did it. However, Ropie had something else in mind. When he saw how exhausted the party was, he stole Arugal’s heart and ran away, never to be seen again, until Ysera’s final confrontation with him.
All heroes suffered from the dust’s curse and its aftereffects, and that’s why they’re still weaker compared to their prime. Without wasting our time, Lord Ewald asks us to find the other heroes and reunite them with him, so he can plan to defeat Largo and retrieve Arugal’s heart from Ropie.

Full of pride, Johnny accepts this quest. Leave the library and talk to Aria in the throne room. She’s against this quest, as she understands the consequences. If they do reunite all the heroes, the party will be dragged with them, too. However, Castella backs Johnny up this time, and since Aria is the minority here, she decides to accept it.
