If you want to design dresses, Dressmaker will let you do exactly that. You will have a variety of customers, demanding that you make pretty outfits for them. You will have many patterns and fabrics to choose from to create a dress that meets their requirements.

Librarian Workwear

Your first commission requires you to design a Librarian work outfit. You need to keep it professional. First, take the measurements of your customer. Then, in your design book, you can make a blueprint for the dress. The elements you select will change the overall style or attributes.

Select a princess bodice and a collar to increase the professional attribute of the dress. Go for peasant sleeves, and for the skirt, go with a pencil, princess or a straight long skirt.

The fabrics and accessories will also increase the attributes. The cool grey linen you own will increase the professional quality of the dress. This is all you need for the first commission, but you will have more challenging requests for your future customers

Cut out the fabrics on the table and place them in your inventory. If you are not satisfied, you can recycle them using the basket. Once you are done with the patterns, you can assemble them on the mannequin and place the additional accessories.

Tips

These tips will help you complete all commissions easily in Dressmaker.

• Focus on the required attributes while drafting the dress and try to get the score as high as possible here.
• There are many ways to fulfill a commission, so try out different combinations of patterns and fabrics.
• You don’t have to exactly meet the requirements during the initial draft. If you didn’t achieve the right score, then go select the fabric which will increase those attributes at the Emporium.
• Accessories do not increase attributes significantly, but they do make your dress more beautiful, and some customers will request them. You can skip them entirely to save money if you have achieved the requirements.
• You can filter accessories and fabrics in the Emporium to focus on the stats you want.
• While cutting fabric, try placing the cloth pieces as close together as you can to make the most of it. If the required quality is lower, you can compromise slightly on the grain quality to save fabric.
• Do not go too fast while sewing, or you will ruin the quality of the dress. You can, however, go faster if the slope of sewing is straight.
• Do not spend more than the budget the customer gives you. You don’t have to go for extravagant fabric or accessories every time.
• Work with 2-3 types of fabric at a time, especially at the start. It makes it easier to picture them in the final look of the dress. Limiting yourself to a few fabrics also saves money.
• Use the color pencil feature as it helps you plan the number of fabrics you need.
• Use the leftover pieces to make money.

Flamboyant Funeral

For this commission, go for a sweetheart bodice and a flounce sleeve. The mermaid skirt will add glamour to the dress. The draft doesn’t give you the required stats, so focus on fabric that has glamour and elegant attributes.

Velvet fabrics are the right choice, and you can purchase elegant white lace as an accessory. Also, avoid the colour black to fulfill the requirements.

Fierce Funeral

This is the opposite of your prior commission. This customer requests that you only use the black color. For the initial draft, go for an elevated sweetheart bodice with a pointed collar, flounce sleeve and professional skirt. You then only need to increase gothic and professional attributes slightly using fabrics and accessories.

Black and White Polka Linen, Black Corduroy, and Black wool pinstripes increase both professional and gothic stats. For accessories, select black laces, buttons and bows.

Respectful Funeral

You will be creating a formal, simple and elegant funeral dress for this commission. It needs to be at least 50 percent black, but you can do more if you like. You can go for a heart princess bodice with no sleeves and a bias-cut skirt or an Apron Skirt.

Alternatively, you can also choose a one-shoulder bodice and an elevated sweetheart bodice. The onyx black silk is a good fabric choice here as it has high elegant, simple, and formal attributes. You can add some lace for more elegance.

Biographer’s Interview

Edith Swan needs a daywear dress that has risque and glamour attributes. You also need to add one brooch as an accessory. Go with a cinched keyhole blouse for the bodice. Add a pointed collar and long cuffed sleeves. For the skirt, you can choose a straight long skirt, a circle skirt, or a princess skirt.

The velvet fabrics have glamour and risque qualities. The linen and cotton fabrics. and the bows have daywear attributes.

Vegetable Empire

This commission in Dressmaker requires you to design a dress fit for gardening. For the skirt, choose the apron skirt. For the upper body, there are a couple of options. You can go for a ruffle apron bodice, milkmaid bodice, or apron bodice.

You can choose either a short puffed sleeve or a butterfly sleeve. You need cute, playful, and workwear stats, so choose fabrics with those attributes, such as cotton. Choose three different colors for the commission requirement.

Studious Motivation

Alice wants a romantic and gothic dress with a lot of lace. For the bodice, go for front lace stays. Choose Juliette-Bishop sleeves and a corset skirt.

There are lace fabric options with gothic and romantic attributes in the emporium. For example, you can purchase French floral black lace and ivory lace. Purchase lace trims in the accessories corner to meet the requirements.

Chilly Overtime

This dressmaker commission is a bit complicated, as you cannot go above the required cute and romantic stats. It also needs to be professional and warm. For the bodice, go for an elevated sweetheart bodice with a pointed collar and long cuffed sleeves.

Select the coat dress skirt to go along with it. Do not choose cute or romantic fabrics at all now that you have achieved the required stats for them. Choose mature fabrics like Argyle, Tweed, and Pinstripes.

Nocturnal Glamour

This commission requires you to make a velvet dress to wear at night. It needs to be gothic, risque, and glamourous. For the bodice, you can choose Corset Bodice with Juliette-Bishop sleeves. Choose the Mother of Pearl skirt.

You have almost achieved the correct attributes, but you need a bit more glamour. Choose velvet fabrics that are glamorous. For example, you can use Amethyst Purple velvet or starry night velvet.

Pidgeon Adoption

You need to make a sophisticated dress which is warm and eclectic for this commission. For the bodice, go for a coat dress bodice and a mandarin collar with long cuffed sleeves. Choose a coat dress shirt to match.

You can purchase any jewel or brooch from the accessory shop to meet the requirements. Some velvet fabrics are both warm and eclectic.

Undercover Servant

This commission in Dressmaker requires you to combine two major styles: workwear that is still elegant. Go for an elevated sweetheart bodice with a pussybow collar and short puffed sleeves. Choose a princess skirt to go along.

You don’t have a lot of budget for this commission, so work with one simple workwear fabric like blush cotton dots. To increase elegance, stick to one expensive, elegant fabric, like lace on red silk. You can also add more lace as an accessory.

Sporting Chance

For this commission, you need to make a sports dress that is playful and simple. You also need to use at least 60 percent cotton. Go for a princess scoop bodice with short puffed sleeves, and a single tiered skirt.

There are so many cotton fabric options in the Emporium that are playful and simple, so you won’t have trouble with that. The gingham-patterned fabrics are recommended.

Spirited Exercise

For this commission, you need to make a gothic dress which is cute and cool. Go for a sweetheart bodice with a widow’s peak collar and fae sleeves.

Lace on pink silk is a recommended fabric as it has all the required attributes. You can also check for cotton fabrics with elegant colors.

Phoenix Costume

You have to design a phoenix costume for this commission in Dressmaker, which is glamourous and risque. You can choose a cinched keyhole blouse or a corset bodice. Choose bell sleeves and a corset skirt.

Sequined fabric has high glamour and is risque, so go for it. Some silk fabrics may also work. You also need to purchase a couple of feather accessories to meet the requirements.

Exhibition Opening

You need to make an eveningwear dress which is romantic, playful, and elegant. Go for a sweetheart bodice with fae sleeves and a widow’s peak collar. Choose a wavecrest skirt.

You can choose printed silk fabrics with the required attributes. Velvet and sequins will also work here.

Secret Art Critic

You need to make an eveningwear dress that is formal and romantic. For the bodice, go with ruched sweetheart bodice with a widow’s peak collar and pleated drop sleeves. Choose a petal peplum skirt.

You can use Barbara Pink silk for its formal and romantic qualities. There are other lace and silk patterns to use to add more depth.

Art Appreciator

This commission in Dressmaker can be complicated, as you need several attributes to meet the client’s requirements, including glamour, gothic, risque, and elaborate. Choose a corset bodice, bell sleeves, and a corset skirt.

Since the dress needs at least 50 percent sequins, focus on making the main body with the sequined fabrics. You can do the entire outfit in sequins while also achieving the required stats.

Goat Mediation

You need to make a patterned dress that is eclectic but not too formal. Choose a kimono bodice with a godet skirt to get enough eclectic score.

Choose eclectic patterned fabrics from the emporium. You can get pink kaleidoscopic embroidered cotton and yellow cross party embroidered cotton as good choices.

Walking Billboard

You need a cute, patterned, and playful dress for this commission. Choose a milkmaid bodice with flutter sleeves and a gathered tiered ruffle skirt.

There are many patterned cotton fabrics that you can use here that aren’t too costly. We used strawberry fields and red forget-me-not patterns for cuteness.

Carrot Promotion

You need to make a carrot cosplay for Edith Swan which is suitable for daywear, elaborate, and playful. Go for an elevated scoop ruffle bodice, fable collar, flutter sleeve, and single tiered skirt.

You can only use yellow, orange, and green fabrics for this commission. There are good options in cotton fabrics that you can use to save money. Try combining all three colors for some depth.

Love Labyrinth

You need to make a white gothic dress which is romantic and cute. Choose front lace stays and chanterelle sleeves for the bodice.

Choose a mother of pearl skirt. You can purchase some white lace and silk fabrics. You don’t have much budget, so make most of the dress using lace.

Hedge Camouflage

You need to make a daywear dress which is eclectic with floral patterns. It needs to be at least 40 percent green. Choose a kimono bodice.

Select flare skirt. You will find floral green prints in the emporium in cotton and lace variety. Purchase any three flowers from the accessories corner.

A-maze-ingly Lost

For this commission in Dressmaker, you need to make a playful and cute dress which has at least three bells attached to it. Choose a milkmaid bodice with flutter sleeves.

Choose a bow skirt. Focus more on cotton fabrics so you won’t go over the budget for the dress. Purchase a couple of bells from the accessories corner.

Floral Romance

You need to create an eveningwear dress that is romantic and flower-patterned. Choose a sweetheart bodice with a widow’s peak collar and pleated drop sleeves.

Choose a basque tiered skirt, but make it with cotton to avoid spending too much. You can also use silk for the dress, but it’s costly, so limit it.

Spring Fete

You need to make an eveningwear dress that is elaborate and romantic. For this commission in Dressmaker, you can only use silk.

Choose front lace stays with pleated drop sleeves. Select a frill skirt to go along with it, as it won’t require a lot of fabric.

Librarian Conference

You need to make a daywear dress that is formal and professional. Choose an elevated princess bodice along with a double ruffle and bow collar. Add flounce sleeves and a pencil skirt.

Make sure to include wool and linen to meet the requirements. You can choose plaid fabrics and linen to match.

Artistic Retreat

You need to make a daywear dress that is romantic and has flowers. Choose an elevated scoop ruffle bodice with a pussybow collar. Select butterfly sleeves with flare skirt.

Go for floral patterned fabrics to meet the flower requirement of the commission.

Precious Pigeon

You need to create an eclectic and patterned dress for this commission. Go for a cinched keyhole blouse with a mandarin collar. Select godiva sleeve and a scallop skirt.

You need to use four different fabrics. Choose any patterned fabrics, as they don’t have to be the same material. Also, purchase five tassels from the emporium.

Beloved Ox

For this commission in Dressmaker, you need to make a dress which is professional and cute at the same time. Choose an elevated princess V bodice with a fable collar. Select peasant sleeves with a ruffle cuff and waistcoat skirt.

The dress also needs to include some bows. You can choose printed linen and pink linen fabrics.

Secret Gallery Visit

Prudence wants a cute dress which is patterned and playful. Go for a milkmaid bodice with flutter sleeves and an apron skirt.

You shouldn’t have too much trouble selecting cute patterned fabrics, as there are many choices in the emporium. You can choose cotton fabrics to save money.

Parental Guidance

You need to make a gothic and elaborate dress for Alice. Choose front lace stays with godiva sleeve and viper skirt. Purchase lace fabrics and jewels to meet the dress requirements.

Comfortable Coffin

You need to create a cool, gothic, and risque dress for Vivian. You don’t have much budget, yet you can only use silk, so stick to simpler designs that use less fabric.

Choose a twilight-hour bodice with pleated drop sleeves and a twilight-hour skirt.

Marie’s Wedding

You need to make a wedding dress which is elaborate, formal, and eclectic. It needs three different colors. Sequins and patterned fabrics will work well.

Go for elevated stays with whirlpool collar and tiered sleeves. Select a godet skirt.

Maid of Honour

You need to make a playful and blue dress which is romantic and features bows. This commission in Dressmaker has a lot of budget, so go for silk fabrics and attach many bows.

Choose a milkmaid bodice with flutter sleeves and a petal peplum skirt.

Never The Bride

Not everyone is happy about the marriage, so you will create a black dress for this commission. It needs to be elaborate, risque, glamor and no flowers.

Choose a belladonna bodice with a belladonna collar and slit sleeves. Select a corset skirt.

Dressed Down

You need a cool, elegant, eclectic dress with patterned fabrics. You can use burlap and patterned silk fabrics. Choose a kaftan wrap bodice with slit sleeves and a twilight hour skirt.

Moonlight Wanderer

You need to make an Elegant dress which is warm and romantic. Choose the Delilah bodice with a fable collar with capulet sleeves. Choose a coat dress skirt.

You can only use white and grey colors. Some silk and lace fabrics are recommended.

Midnight Warrior

You need an elaborate dress with enough gothic and glamour attributes. Choose a viper bodice with a viper collar with Gabriel sleeves. Select a Koi skirt. You can use lace and sequined fabrics.

Constellation Inspiration

You need a romantic dress which is cute and warm. Go for velvet fabrics, bows, flowers, and lace trims for this commission.

Choose an elevated scoop ruffle bodice with a fable collar and Juliette-Bishop sleeves. Select a frill skirt.

Raven Rising

For this commission in Dressmaker, you need to create an eveningwear dress with glamour, elegant, and gothic attributes. You have enough budget to go for silk, and use lace alongside it.

You can only use black, blue, and green colors. Choose a cinched keyhole blouse with a belladonna collar and godiva sleeves. Select a tulip hip skirt.

Bold Tigress

You need to create an Elegant dress which has glamour and risque attributes. It must include 10 percent of sequin fabrics so we recommend doing either the bodice or skirt being done completely in sequins.

You can only use black and orange colors. Choose a cinched keyhole blouse with a whirlpool collar and godiva sleeves. Select the twilight hour skirt.

Daring Heist

Adora needs a dress with glamour and playful attributes. At least 25 percent of the dress should be made of sequins. Purchase them in three different colors.

Select a cinched keyhole blouse with a whirlpool collar and flutter sleeves. Select a bow skirt.

Gala Supporter

You need to make an eveningwear dress with enough eclectic and glamour attributes. 50 percent of the dress needs to be purple. You also need to apply 20cm of trim. Silk, velvet and sequined fabrics are recommended.

Select a cinched keyhole blouse with a whirlpool collar and godiva sleeves. Select a kaftan skirt.

Opera Night

You need to make an eveningwear dress which is cute, romantic, and elaborate. Apply at least five bows and 10cm of lace trim.

You can use silk and lace fabrics. Select a flared begonia bodice with angel sleeves. Select a frill skirt.

Another Encore

Edith needs a dress with gothic, glamour, elaborate, and risque attributes. You also need to use at least five jewels. You can use velvet, sequins, lace and silk fabrics.

Choose a belladonna bodice with a belladonna collar and Gabriel sleeves. Select a split skirt.

Sudden Departure

Prudence needs a workwear dress which is warm and simple. You can use brown tweed and blue wool pinstripes. Select an apron bodice with a pointed collar and long sleeves. Select a flare skirt.

Vivian needs a gothic and elaborate dress. It needs to be 25 percent yellow and 25 percent black. You need at least 10cm of trim and three jewels. Choose a front lace stays bodice with godiva sleeves. Select a viper skirt.

World Stage

Edith needs a dress with enough glamour, risque, and elaborate attributes. You can use sequined fabrics for this commission in Dressmaker. Place at least 10 feathers and five jewels to meet the minimum requirements.

Choose a corset bodice with godiva sleeves. Select a corset skirt.

Sewn In The Stars

Priya needs a dress with the elegant, formal, elegant, and elaborate attributes. Choose an Aurora bodice with a widow’s peak collar and Arwen sleeves. Select a ruffle skirt or an oddette skirt.

Prudence needs a formal and romantic dress which uses at least five flowers. You can use silk and lace fabrics. Select a ruched heart bodice with a viper collar and pleated drop sleeves. Select a petal peplum skirt.

Rose wants a cool dress which uses only cotton. You have so many fabric options for this commission in Dressmaker. Choose a kaftan wrapped bodice with butterfly sleeves and a twilight hour skirt.

Peerless Dressmaker

This is the final commission of the game, and you are free to do whatever you like to complete it.
