In this chapter of the DuneCrawl Full Walkthrough we cover the quest – The Great Crawler’s Path and investigate Shackle Ridge and The Burial Grounds.
We are now gonna tackle the quest “The Great Crawler’s Path”. If you are following along with our walkthrough, the first part should have already been completed. Otherwise please check here. We are now going to head to Shackle Ridge.
The Great Crawler’s Path
Check the map below for the location.

On your way there, check this location on the map for a chest containing a Thorny Mask.

Once you reach Shackle Ridge, dock at the southern part. Go on foot now. On the eastern end you can meet up with an escaped prisoner.

This will start a side quest: Shackle Smash. We have to free 5 prisoners. They are easy to find and free. There is a wall that can be cracked with a grenade that leads to a dungeon, right by where we came on shore. The dungeon is called Sanctum of the Scorpion.

After entering go down the ramp on the right and take out the scorpion enemy. Go up the first ramp on the left.

Follow this path to take out two more scorpions. Go further down and take out the next scorpion and you will find a power orb.

Pick it up and bring it back to the altar that you passed earlier with the locked door. There is one near the ramp here, but that’s an ambush at the moment. So go back near the entrance.

Open the door and go through. Inside you will find a blue chest with the Smash Claw Talisman which does 20% more melee damage. Now pick the power orb back up and go back and open the door near the ramp – close to where you found the power orb.

Two acid spitting bugs should crawl through. Take them out. You will discover a shrine here. At the end of this path you will find another chest containing acid bombs and gold.

Track back and go up the ramp next to the shrine. Pick up the power orb here and make your way all the way back to the second ramp. It’s the altar opposite to the ramp where you picked up the second power orb.

Placing the orb here will unlock both doors on the other side. Go up the ramp here and through the door that you just opened. Go through the door on the left – where there is a rolling trap.

Go around the traps and in the bottom corner you can find a chest with gold and a Pepperbox in it.

Track back and follow the traps to the mini shrine and a ramp with rolling logs.

Go up the ramp and hide in the alcoves on the left and right to avoid the logs. Time your runs carefully and it isn’t too difficult. At the top you will find, 3 chests and a Sparkfly cage. This is the treasure for the dungeon and will complete the quest Scorpion Slayer. Next pick up the power orb and place it on the altar at the far end of the path. Go back and pick up the Longhorn Crawler Mask. Place the mask on your crawler’s head.

This will also get you the achievement. This will complete this part of the quest for the Quest: The Great Crawler’s Path. Before we head off, free the prisoners on the island. Their locations are marked on the map below.

You can find a Sand Nut relic at the top left corner of the map.

Next, speak to all the prisoners near the entrance of the island.

Next up is the Burial Grounds. The location is shown on the map below.

You might have to fight a Kiln Crawler to get there. Once you dock speak to the Graveyard Keeper. This will start the quest, Exhume the Enemy. We need to find a way into the graveyard. Head north to the location marked with the X.

Before going there, there is a Sparkfly cage here –

Make your way to the north east corner of the map past the graves and the two bombflower plants and you will see a bombable wall. Since the other path is locked by a gate, this is the only way into the graveyard.

Head and climb up the vines to take out the two mortars immediately. There is a chest here next to the tents containing a repeater, acid bombs and gold. Go down and head to the glowing circle to complete the current objective and start 3 waves of enemies.

Once you have cleared all 3 waves. The tomb will open. It’s a dungeon called Crypt of Masks.

Immediately after entering, head to the room on the right to take out the nests. Then check the chest.

Go around and up the ramp now, take out the enemies and check the chest near the wall of masks.

Go to the right and up and pick up the bomb flower to blow open the wall nearby.

Going down the ramp will start a boss fight.
Boss: Kiln Commander
This machine has 3 basic attack patterns. It will fire mortar shells that can be telegraphed by the red marking on the floor.

It will start using a circular saw so that you cant get close to it and during this period it will shoot a bullet hell barrage.

The third move is, it will put up a reflective shield on top of the circular saw – so melee and range become useless at this point, atleast without taking damage.

Keep moving around and use the bombflowers in the room to your advantage, as there will be adds as well. Once it’s done head out to the Burial Grounds and pick up the Beetle Heart Talisman from the chest.

Head back to the Crawler now and the Shaman will show up – this part of the quest is complete now and he wants you collect 200 Sparkfly’s Blessings.
