Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Dungeons of Hinterberg. In this part of our Dungeons of Hinterberg walkthrough, we explore the Glacial Galaxy in Kolmstein

Day 8: Morning
Spend the morning talking to Theresa. Then head to Kolmstein.
Day 8: Noon
Head to the Skill Shrine (marked on the map below)

You will pick up two skills here. Hover and Light Ray – for traversal and range attack respectively. Rail grind down the pink rail next to the skill shrine.

Once down below, hit the target with Light Ray to activate the platform. Eventually, you will hit a deactivated rail. Hit the target hidden in the left to activate the rail.

Now rail grind down to the lower area and hit the target on the north side of the room with Light Ray. Go in and hit it again to lower the barrier.

On the other side, use light ray on the icicle on the ceiling. It should drop down creating a platform to jump on to. Use the Light ray on the next icicle too.

Jump to the ledge on the other side and pick up the sword from the Chest. Drop down and hit the target on the right top corner to lower a platform – get on the platform and hit the target again to exit this area.

Rail grind out and pick up the Spellguard Body Armour 300 from the Chest. From here rail grind/skate your way over to the South Valley to find the dungeon for the day – Glacial Galaxy.

Dungeon: Glacial Galaxy
This is a planet like dungeon, so on the first planet – just keep going till you find a chest with 5000 HBs. Then you will run across stairs leading to the next planet.

Once up the stairs, you will see three eyes, use Light ray to close them and the path forward will be formed. Rail grind off to the next planet and jump off the ramp to reach the next area. Skate and rail grind till you reach a tower with more eye targets.

There are three targets to hit. The one right infront of you and one to the left and right – hitting all three will create a ramp to jump off. The targets are timed so skate your way to each target. The ramp is off to the far left. Grind your way to the next arena and kill the enemies here. Get on the next rail here and grind up – laser the icicle on the ceiling in the next area and then to the one on the right. If you follow the left path, you will find a locked chest.

Climb up the ledges at the end of the path and hit the Light Ray target to clear the laser obstacle. In the next area, hit the next target to move the laser and go past the target and hit it again.

Now go to the wall on the right and hit it again to activate the switch. This will give you climbable ledges. Follow the path till you reach an overlook – hit the target again to move the laser. This will open a platform behind you. Get on the platform that was just lowered and hit the target again.

Head up this path to find a Waystone and little further down a puzzle chamber. There are 4 targets here – get on the mound and hit any target and it will drop the ice sections down.

Drop down and follow the path to the room on the left and raise the platforms again. Any target will do – open the chest here for Resonant Sword 3. Drop down the ice sections and go back to the beginning of the maze, walk to the area with a closed off recess and hit the target on top. This place is just beyond the first laser blocking your path.

This should raise you up and give access to a path on the right when the ice sections drop down again. Go through the door and stand on the mound and hit the target behind you.

Now stand on the bricked area and lower the ice sections again.

Now off to your left is a mound on the brick section. Go to that mound. Hit the target here to raise the ice section and open up a path to the other side.

Get to the other mound and drop the ice sections down to go across a narrow path along the wall.

Stand at the edge of the path and bring up the ice sections to clear a path through.

Keep going and you should be able to rail grind out of this area. Jump off the ramp in the next area. Keep going till you find another Waystone and a deactivated rail. You will notice a ski flag on the right side – it’s a time trial. Complete the trial to activate the rail.

Rail grind up this rail and kill the enemies on top to activate the next rail. At the end of this rail is the exit to the dungeon.
Day 8: Evening
Klaus will come up to you and you can ask him a bunch of questions about the game’s items. After that you are free to choose whomever to spend the evening with. I decided to go meet Hannah – because I wanted to Enchant my sword. Remember to buy potions or upgrade your gear.
Day 8: Night
End the night by going to sleep.
