Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Dungeons of Hinterberg. In this part of our Dungeons of Hinterberg walkthrough, we explore the secret dungeon Toxic Archipelago in Hinterwald West.

Day 12: Morning

Speak to Alex. We are going to Hinterwald West today for the Quest: Goo Pipe Mystery

Day 12: Noon

Get off the bus and head to the clearing ahead. Kill the monsters, then go up the path blocked off by the sign “Keep Out”. Enter the dungeon, Toxic Archipelago.

After entering, go to the left and climb up. Turn the gear to raise the water level. Go back and head left to climb up to the ledge that just became accessible. Turn the next gear and the water level will drop. Go to the left to open the chest to pick up an Armor.

Go back and hit the white side of the spinning target with Wind Projectile to bring the raft closer to you.

Each raft has its own spinning target system, with black and white sides to the flags. Most targets will need multiple shots to move the rafts.

Get on and hit the black side of the target to cross over to the other side. Next up, hit the white targets to bring a far-off raft closer to another stationary raft.

Now head to the right and climb up to a platform with another gear. Turn it to raise the water level and go to the left and climb up. Pick up the loot from the overlook on the left. Now drop down and get on the raft and hit the white target to cross to the other side. Once here, hit the white target to move the previously stationary raft closer to you and hit the target on the far left to move the other raft closer to the island on the other side.

Now hit the target behind you with Wind Projectile. This should move the raft you are on to the other side. There is a chest on this small island, loot it. Now hit the target on the right of you, to bring the raft we sent to the other side closer to the middle. Get on the raft that you just came here with and use it’s corresponding target wheel, to meet in the middle.

Get on the second raft and hit the target on the right (corresponding to this raft) to move to the islands on your left. Activate the Way Stone. There is a fight up ahead. Clear the enemies and on to the next area. You will see three raft and three corresponding flags and target – Blue, Yellow and Red. The blue flag is on this island but you can’t do anything now – so move to the right. Hit the target here to bring the raft closer and then use it to cross over to the island with the gear. Drop the water level down and go to the right and jump on to grab the ledge.

Climb up and you will notice there is a path that goes right and another that goes left. Take the left path and climb up through the tree to the area blocked off by Goo. Pick up a bomb fruit from the tree with Wind Projectile and clear the path. Drop down through the cleared path and use the gear to raise the water level. Now get back on the island with the bomb tree. Off to the right you can see the Red Flag target, hit it to move the red raft out of the way. Now go back and take the path we didn’t take earlier and climb up to follow the path to the next gear.

Now go to the left from the gear and through the tree trunk but don’t go to the other side, instead climb off to the right to a lookout point. From here you can see the yellow flag for the yellow raft. Hit it to move the yellow raft out of the way.

Go back to the blue flag now – but first drop the water level back down from the gear on your way back. Bring the blue raft close to the island by hitting its target.

Kill the boss on the other side and pick up the pads from the chest. Get the stamp and exit the dungeon. Watch the cutscene as you exit the dungeon.

Day 12: Evening

Speak to Alex and your friendship will increase to 3. You can choose to hang with whoever you want, I chose Kai to increase my Amusement, unlock the 3rd Attack Conduit slot and to complete the Quest: We are not Amused.

Day 12: Night

End the night by going to bed

Day 13: Morning

Speak to Alex and head to Hinterwald.

Day 13: Noon

Go to the dungeon Ancient Tree and take the zipline down to the forest. The zipline is to the right of the entrance. Once you get down there. Use whirlwind to go up the stairs and start running to the right behind the hill. There will be a wire balcony, use whirlwind to get on top.

Kick the ladder down and at the end of the path you can pick up the Wild Strawberries.

You can repeat a dungeon or just take in a scenic spot.

Day 13: Evening

Meet up with the dog and give him a name. I called him Walter. This will conclude the Quest: A Furry Pal.

Day 13: Night

End the night by going to bed.
