Undertaker Remembrance in Elden Ring Nightreign DLC is triggered by defeating a specific boss: Night Aspect. Completing the Night Aspect Expedition as Undertaker allows you to gain Dismembered Finger in your pouch during the sequence. The Undertaker’s Remembrances are unlocked by progressing through the journal entries.

Unlock Undertaker’s Remembrances
Character Remembrances are side story content that you can access in the Journal. However, not every chapter is a remembrance that takes you to a new location, but some are just storylines in the journal. Here’s everything you need to complete the Undertake remembrance quest and unlock exclusive rewards.
Below are the steps to unlock Undertaker’s Remembrances via Undertaker’s Journal Entries. Chapters are unlocked by completing personal objectives and running expeditions.
- Chapter 1 – Unlock at the beginning.
- Chapter 2 – Unlocked after defeating one Nightlord.
- Chapter 3 – Unlocked with Chapter 2.
- Chapter 4 – Complete Chapter 3.
- Chapter 5 – Defeat another Nightlord.
- Chapter 6 – Complete Chapter 5.
- Chapter 7 – Eliminate Heolstor and drop the Dismembered Finger on the ground before offering the Nightlord’s Rune.
Chapter 3 Undertaker Remembrance Quest
You can make Undertaker one of the strongest characters in Elden Ring Nightreign simply from doing her remembrance quest line. To start the first remembrance quest, you are going to have to have already completed an expedition to get all the Memory Fragments that you need. However, once you’ve done all that, go ahead and head over to the journal and start the Chapter 3 remembrance quest.
Once you’ve loaded in the quest line, the Iron Menial will be standing in front of you. After a little bit of dialogue, he basically goes and attacks you. This will be an all-out brawl at the round table hold, where you’re going to have to fight every other Nightfarer. Making your way through the round table and all the other Nightfarers, you need to go into the Chapel, where the Iron Menial will reveal himself again.
After exhausting all of his dialogue, you’ll see a purple spot on the side of the wall and interact with it to absorb Night’s Power. Next, you need to go outside and find Scholar and talk to him. You can find his location marked on the map in red.
Following the forest path, you will see the Scholar standing next to a statue. Exhausting all of his dialogue will give you the Leather Monocle Case relic, and you’ll finally be able to conclude this remembrance quest.
Chapter 5 Undertaker Remembrance Quest
To unlock Chapter 5 for Undertaker’s remembrance quest, you need another Memory Fragment by defeating a Nightlord. Once you’ve gotten that memory fragment, head back to the journal and begin the Chapter 5 remembrance quest. After loading into Remembrance, first, you need to talk to the Duchess at the round table. Once you’ve exhausted all of her dialogue, head over to the chapel, and you’ll see a prompt that says, “Offer prayer.”
Once you’re done with your prayer, turn around and head over to the Iron Menial. You can find him by the visual codex. Go ahead and interact with him and exhaust all of his dialogue. This allows you to gain a new objective where you have to search for the Scholar and Limb Belt.
To do that, head over to the round table and start up the expedition for the Balancers. Once you load into the expedition, there’s going to be a marked area at the top left corner of your map.
Head up the stairs, hop onto a stone pedestal, and then jump up to the rafters. Heading over to the opening in the roof and going through the door. You need to find the Scholar frozen in this crystal. Go ahead and interact with the crystal and exhaust all his dialogue to get Scholar’s Primal Core.
Once you’ve taken his core, your objective here is complete, and you can finish the expedition any way you see fit. When the expedition is done, you’ll receive the primal core, and you can head back to the chapel to talk to the scholar.
Exhaust all of his dialogue, and you’ll be given the Night Hued Glass as well as a note written by the scholar himself. After all that’s over, you can conclude the remembrance. Once out of the remembrance area, make sure to get the Undertaker’s Chalice.
Chapter 7 Undertaker Remembrance Quest
This one’s a little bit harder to do because you need to load into a Night Aspect Expedition as the Undertaker and defeat the night lord. However, when you defeat the Nightlord, you get a new item called the Dismembered Finger. Defeating the Nightlord using any other Nightfarer will not progress the Remembrance quest.
As Heolstor, the Nightlord is the final boss of the main storyline. After defeating him, you move to a burnt version of RoundTable Hold. Head over to the corpse at the end of the area and check your inventory, and drop the Dismembered Finger right in front of him. After that, interact with the corpse to finish the game and get out of the expedition to unlock the Chapter 7 Journal entry.
A small cut scene will play, and you’ll have completed the remembrance quest line for the Undertaker. Once the cut scene is over, you’ll come back to the round table, where not only will you get her remembrance outfit, but you’ll also get her exclusive relic, the Glass Necklace.
Undertaker’s Remembrance Rewards
Completing the Undertaker Remembrance quest in Elden Ring Nightreign allows you to gain the following rewards.
- Complete Chapter 3 Remembrance quest in Elden Ring Nightreign DLC allows you to gain the Leather Monocole Case. This item increases the effect of your physical attacks and extends the spell duration.
- Undertaker’s Chalice is obtained by finishing the Chapter 5 Remembrance quest and provides 1 Green, 1 Yellow, and 1 Universal Relic Slot.
- The Glass Necklace increases the attack power of Ultimate Art and is acquired by completing the Chapter 7 Remembrance 7 quest.
- Finish the Chapter 7 Remembrance 7 quest to gain Remembrance Undertaker. This reward grants Undertaker Cosmetic, equipped at the Dresser.
