Welcome to Part 2 of Into Indie Games’ walkthrough for End of Abyss.
After prevailing in the fight against the Husk Cluster, Cel manages to access the Shuttle. Our first objective is to head to the Reactor Room past Factory East to turn the power on at the Reactor Core and restore communications.

Obtaining the Factory Keycard

As you leave the Shuttle and take a few steps forward, you’ll get a transmission from Soldier C-12. They want you to reach the Reactor to the east. The door to the room on your right, along the steel walkway, is locked from the other side.
You’ll find a new weapon inside it, but we can’t access it just yet.

Move forward along the path and enter the room to the right. There are a couple of doors here, including one leading into a safe room with a Restoration Pod and Workbench (marked in the image above). The room near the bottom requires the Factory Keycard.

Go up and collect the Fragments from the Item Box on the floor. Then head through the doorway to the right.

Take out the Infected Worker inside and continue onward. You’ll reach a large door that opens automatically when you get close.

Continue forward along the main path toward the Reactor. But the door to the Reactor Core is locked. Pick up the Factory Keycard near the body. You can also read the note on the panel using your Scanner. Soldier C-12 tells you to find another way around to the core.

Return to the area with the safe room and head through the door on the left near the ladder.

Inside, you’ll find a Complex Alloy along with some Fragments. Complex Alloy is the primary upgrade material you need to upgrade your weapons. Also note the Weak Structure on the wall to the left.

Leave the room and save your progress if needed. We’ll now head deeper into Factory East through the door on the right, at the bottom of the area.
Entering the Ventilation Tunnels

Go down the stairs, and Cel will automatically turn on her Flashlight. Head down and then follow the path to the right.

You’ll reach a large room with pipes above you. This area is filled with Infected Workers. So you’ll want to have your weapon ready. Go down and then turn right along the path. You’ll spot an open door all the way to the right, down a set of steps.

This will lead you to a ladder. Go up the ladder. Take out the monsters that attack you as you climb up. Then take the door to the left.

Run forward along the steel walkway and take a right at the fork.

Keep moving until you enter a small room. There’s a door to the left. But first, take out the enemies below you. There’s a note here that you can scan before moving on.

Head through the door on the left to reach the upper section outside the Safe Room. Interact with the ladder to extend it so that you have a shortcut. Then head through the door on the right in the upper section.

Keep following the path until you enter the Ventilation Tunnels.
Reaching the Reactor Core

The Ventilation Tunnel is a big zone with interconnected tunnels that lets you access different parts of the facility. You can only access a part of it at this point.

There aren’t any enemies other than Parasitic Fleas in the area. So I suggest exploring every bit of it you can thoroughly.

The most important thing you can find here is the Health Booster in the location marked in the image above. You can find a ladder leading to another part of Factory East as well, but you don’t have to go there right now.

Loot the body after taking down the Parasitic Fleas to collect the Health Booster. With this, you can heal yourself twice while exploring.

When you’re ready, follow the path to reach the Reactor Core. Go down the ladder.

Continue forward through the zone. Pick up the Grenade on the ground. It’s a new craftable item that you can use to deal High Impact damage to enemies.

Go forward and then up through the door. The door to your right leads to another Safe Room. Save your progress here if needed.

Then continue forward along the main path to trigger a cutscene as you reach the Reactor Core.

Go through the door at the base of the Reactor Core and use the elevator to go up.

Use the control panel to try to activate the Reactor Core. But it fails to boot. Soldier C-12 tells you to activate the Power Cells manually below the core. The location of the Power Cells will be marked on your map.
Activating the Power Cells

Go back down the elevator and loop around the walkway in the Reactor. You’ll spot another elevator here. Use it to head down.

Continue forward along the dark passage. You’ll see a path to your right, past a body. Loot the body for some Fragments and go right.

This will bring you to the first Power Cell. Activate it. Loot the Item Box in the room for some more Fragments.

Return to the previous room and follow the path. You’ll spot a locked door with red lights on it. There’s a Power Cell beyond this door, but we’ll need to open it using the Security System.

Go left. As you turn the corner and reach another locked door, you’ll see something that looks like a centipede crawling along the wall. It doesn’t attack you.

Keep moving forward till you reach an elevator. Head through the door past the elevator first.

This brings you to the second Power Cell room. Activate the Power Cell, then go back and use the elevator to head down.
Accessing the Security System

Get off the elevator and head to the section on the right. There’s a Safe Room at the bottom-right corner of the screen that you can use to save your progress. Check the locker for some Fragments and then head through the upper door on the right.

From here, the path is pretty straightforward, but there are a lot of enemies to fight through. So make sure you move slowly and fire a shot at the bodies on the ground to make sure they are not monsters.

You’ll also encounter some Infected Reactor Worker enemies. They are the same as Infected Workers, but you can shoot at the tank on their back to make it explode, taking them out easily.

You’ll reach a room where you can pick up a Small Fragment Chunk. Go through the door on the right.

In this room, you’ll have to be very careful not to run in blind. Two Husks will spawn behind you if you do so. The best strategy is to take a few steps and quickly run back when the Husks appear. That way you can take them out one at a time.

You’ll reach an open door to your right near a set of steps heading left. Go through the left door first.

As you move forward, you’ll have your first encounter with two Chest Huggers. These are agile monsters with a devastating grab attack that eats up a chunk of your health pool. They are weak to High Impact damage, so use the Riot Breaker or Grenade to take them down. There’s a Fragment Chunk in the room that you can collect all the way to the right.

Leave the room and go down the steps. There are some more enemies up ahead, including a Chest Hugger. Take them down. Then head through the door at the end.

You’ll reach a fork as you go up a small set of stairs. Go left first.

This takes you to a room filled with water below you. Run to the other side and use the Lever to open the door to the left. This opens a shortcut to the Safe Room from earlier.

Go back to the fork in the previous room and head down. Loot the body for some Fragments and then head through the door on the left.

There’s an Infected Reactor Worker pretending to be dead just past the steps. Take it out.

Keep moving forward, and as you cross a bridge, you’ll find another Infected Reactor Worker. Take it down as well.

Head through the door on the bottom-left part of the area to collect the Map Data for the zone.

Exit the room, go up, and then through the door on your left.

Keep moving forward till you reach a large dark room.

As you approach the door on the upper part of the room, you’ll be ambushed by a bunch of Husks. Take them out. Use the shelves for cover and keep moving so that you don’t get cornered. Try to open the door after the encounter. It’s locked.

Go back to the previous room. A Husk will break out of the ventilation cover and attack you. Take it out.

Drop down through the hole the Husk came out of and follow the path to the room on the left. You’ll be able to reach the room on the other side of the locked door.

Use the terminal to unlock the Security Doors.

Head through the now-unlocked door on the left and up the ladder. The room on the right has an Item Box with a Complex Alloy inside. Make sure you grab it before you move on.

Go right from the ladder to return to the first room, as you did when you got off the elevator from the second Power Cell. You’ll catch another glimpse of the centipede-like creature when you enter.
Save your progress and stock up on ammunition. Then go up the elevator.

Make your way back to the locked Power Cell room and head inside. Activate the Power Cell to trigger a cutscene as you get into the next boss fight of the game.
Centipede Husk Boss Fight

The Centipede Husk is the second boss you’ll face in End of Abyss as you’re manually activating the three Power Cells. The fight is split into two phases, but the boss’s attacks remain consistent throughout the fight.
During the first phase, the Centipede Husk will remain out of sight and will periodically scuttle across the arena before running off again. If you stand on its path as it moves in and out of the arena, you’ll get knocked on your back and take damage.

The boss can also sometimes stay in the arena for a longer period and do one of its attacks. The boss has three main attacks:
- It tramples towards you, dealing damage and knockback
- It rears up and slams down on the ground twice.
- It rears up briefly and coils around you to deal massive damage.

For all of these attacks, dodging is the best strategy. The most devastating of its three attacks is the coiled grab. It will eat up a massive chunk of your Health Pool. But it’s telegraphed well in advance, giving you plenty of time to dodge away to safety.

The best strategy for the first phase is to keep your Riot Breaker ready and fire a shot at it as the Centipede Husk scuttles by. You’ll want to stand in the middle of the arena so that you have enough time to react. Since the Centipede Husk is quite agile, it can be hard to line up a Grenade hit on it. The best time is if you manage to toss the Grenade during the first half of its slam attack.

Once you deal enough damage, the boss gains a brief invulnerability and enters its second phase. The phase always starts with a poison spit. During this phase, the boss retains its three attacks from the first phase with the addition of the poison spit.
It won’t scuttle away from the arena any longer, however. So you’ll be able to shoot it any time you want.

Try to position yourself behind the boss and roll away from its attacks. You can use the Knife to deal damage or simply riddle it with your Riot Breaker until the boss goes down.

A short cutscene triggers after the fight where the Centipede Husk splits into two halves and runs away. It’s clear that this isn’t the last you’ve seen of the boss. Pick up the Vault Key after the cutscene.
Regrouping with the Crew

With all three Power Cells inserted, make your way back to the Reactor Core. Interact with the Control Panel to trigger a cutscene as the power comes online.
Go back down the elevator. Soldier C-12 instructs you to regroup with the others in Factory East.

Run down and save your progress at the Safe Room. Then continue along the passage until you get ambushed by two Security Pod Type-As. These enemies are weak to EMP. The Charged Shot from your Pulse Gun, if you’ve unlocked it, is great at taking them out.

With the enemies down, you can head through the door on the left.

This takes you to the locked Reactor entrance that you found when you first entered Factory East. Make your way back to the Safe Room area and head through the door at the bottom.

Go down the stairs and head for the bottom left corner to trigger a cutscene.
