Enigma of Fear Walkthrough – The Great Fissure

Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Enigma of Fear. This guide will try to cover as much of the puzzles and mysteries as we can.

Enigma of Fear is a game of investigation and mystery in Pixel Art/3D where your deduction is your guide. Play and enjoy this story in the way that you want to, so we highly recommend that you explore and interact with its world as much as possible.

Underground

Make your way to the Agatha. Talk to her about the ritual and Calisto’s Notebook. She will tell you about Transcending – just follow the cutscene.

Play through the vision and select any of the four options once presented. You will have transcended when the ritual is over.

Graveyard of Melodies

Head back to Mausoleum in the Graveyard of Melodies and enter the maze. Reset the maze by going back the way you came. Now enter the Maze again – go up the stairs on the left. Shine your UV light and find which path is lit up with flowers. In this case, cross the bridge and head to the right and exit through.

In the next section, head up the stairs on the left and go straight.

In the next section, head straight then left/down.

In the next section, turn left immediately down the stairs and exit through the gate at the bottom of the screen.

The Garden

We should be at the Garden now. Go up to the cracked stone and perform the Immersion Ritual.

When the vision starts switch to Lupi and head down.

Follow the smell trail/path around to where Theo and Rossi are arguing and hit the switch next to them to drop the ladder down on Lethicia’s studio.

Make your way back to Mia. When the vision ends and you have control of Mia, make your way to Lethicia’s studio.

Lethicia’s Studio

Climb up the ladder that we dropped earlier. Cross the plank and perform the Immersion Ritual again.

Follow Lethicia with Lupi now. Remember the path that she took to the Great Fissure. You are now going to have to follow the path as Mia. Climb back down and enter the Maze again.

The Maze

In the first section go to the right – down the stairs. Then the gate on the right.

In the next section head down the stairs and go to the right.

In the next section go to the left and exit there.

In the next section cross the bridge and to the right.

In the next section go past the stairs and to the right.

This should lead you to the Great Fissure.

The Great Fissure

Cross over the fissure and to the place where there is a boss fighting waiting.

Hide behind the stone or the other barriers when Lethicia screams at you.

Move around and exit through the bottom gate.

Avoid the red holes on the ground and make your way to the next gate – 2^nd left, then right, then across the three pulsating holes.

In the next section – left, right, left, right and exit. Once you are at the stone – break it. You will now be back where we started. Again avoid the screams and exit through the next gate.

In this section go left and straight through the gap in the wall. Then right, wait in the cove for the hands to pass you by.

Then right, cove again, continue and then turn right.

Then left and exit. In the next section turn right, right, left, left, left, in the gap.

To the right after the hand passes you by. Go over to the cove on the far end. Move when the hand passes you by, then to the right. Now take the gate at the bottom not the one on Mia’s right.

Crack the stone again. Back again, next the next exit.

In this section, to the right down the stairs. Then left down the stairs. Left again, right now and exit.

In the next section, straight ahead and down the stairs. Then right, left, right.

Straight up and left past the gaping mouth on the ground. Straight through past the hand. Then turn left.

Crack the stone one final time to kill Lethicia. There is an interactable object next to her corpse but nothing happened for me (during this run). Exit the Great Fissure and reset yourself to the beginning of the maze.
