Enigma of Fear Walkthrough – Underground


Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Enigma of Fear.

Enigma of Fear is a game of investigation and mystery in Pixel Art/3D where your deduction is your guide. Play and enjoy this story in the way that you want to, so we highly recommend that you explore and interact with its world as much as possible.

Back at the main menu now, Verity is tied up in chains. Press begin to get back to the puzzle.

Select the symbols for Mia’s story again (The glyphs in blue on the right/the bloodied symbols). Back as Mia, go to the corner with the hidden door where Verity was carried out of after the boss fight.

Use the crowbar to open up the path and head through.

Underground

Hallway

Follow the hallway to a wall with a symbol and scribblings on it.

Medical Room

Keep going and you will have to fight off a zombie in the room on the left.  There is another Zombie at the end of the room.

After you have cleared the area off zombies, check the Perimeter medical report off the table in the middle. This will let you know all the areas you will need to explore later. Head back out to the corridor and take the path heading straight to the Resting Area.

Resting Area

You will see a keypad locking the door marked “Unhaunted One Wing”. In the table next to the entrance, you will find a map of the Underground.

You will also find notes crumpled around the room talking about the locks. Near the coffee station up top you will find an Agent file for Verity. Use your UV light on it for extra context. There is also a note near the coffee pot. You can find a photograph in the book shelf. Go up to the radio and speak to Samuel and Agatha.

Destroy the crates in the middle of the room to get some ammo. Also Samuel and Agatha will move into the Underground. Interact with the bed and side table to find a letter to Calisto. Head up from the bed and you will find a bunch of computers and servers. Go past them through the door and you will find an item that glitches out the game. If you check the note on the next table, you will see it’s a raven’s skull, a cursed item.

Next go towards the crates on the right to pick up two medkits.

Head back to the Hallway via the door on the left of the bed.

Head through the corridor and turn right to get to the kitchen. Pick up the ammo from the counter and exit the room. Head behind the stairs and you will find door with a keypad and the combination needed to open it on the floor.

14689. Go into the Director’s room.

Director’s Room

Inside, listen to the recording. Check the photograph that’s in front of the TV and check the note under the bed. Exit the room and back to the Hallway. Near the garbage bags you will find a clipboard that you can use UV light on.

Next to the clipboard are the stairs heading up to the Perimeter. From here you can go to these 4 locations –

  • The Crystal Cave,  head due west.
  • The Cathedral’s is in the middle of the Perimeter.
  • The Graveyard of Melodies, head due east.
  • The Spiral Castle, head north-east.

Pick up the ammo from the chair and head up the stairs. Follow the path east/northeast to the Graveyard of Melodies and the Spiral Castle. There will be a lot of zombies here, just run around them.
