Escape From Ever After Walkthrough – Real World

Escape From Ever After, a turn-based RPG inspired by the likes of the Paper Mario games, was just recently released. The game also features similarities with Ocarina of Time and has a pretty solid storyline. For more information regarding the title, head over to its Steam page.

Now that you have completed one of the most complicated chapters in the game, only the last one remains. This one is pretty complicated too, as it has many puzzles and a couple of boss fights, just like the others. So here, in this guide, I will provide you with a thorough walkthrough of Chapter Five: Real World in Escape From Ever After.

Real World Walkthrough – Escape from Ever After

Now that you have the Lexichip, you can finally head to the real world, so go over to the telepager as it is time to teleport. However, if you have anything to do before going to the real world, like upgrading or buying anything, make sure to do that first. Once done, travel to the real world.

As you teleport to the real world, a pre-recorded orientation video by the CEO will trigger, revealing that Patches is the company mascot. After a long conversation, head right.

Head Up The Stairs

As the elevators will not work for you, you will have to take the stairs. So, head right and move up the stairs. The stairs will not take you to the location you want to be. So when you reach a dead end, go ahead, and you will be inside an office with several enemies.

Defeat the enemies, and then you need to head to the southwest side. Defeat more enemies, and then on the left side, you will see that the door is locked.

Where To Find The Key To The Locked Door

The key to the locked door can be found at the start of the office, but it is not easy to head there. There will be an office on the right side of the locked door. Enter it, jump onto the table, then onto the filing cabinets, and then onto the bookshelf. After that, use Patches’ slam to break the vent and go inside.

Now, you can make your way ahead and grab the key. You do not have to go to the exact place where the key is, as you can use your Buckler to grab it from a distance.

Open The Locked Door

Now that you have the key, use it to open the locked door and then head up to the 43rd floor. The next step is extremely simple, as you just need to move the first flower pot from the right side to the east. As you move it, you will also be able to move the stairs.

So, move it enough for you to be able to go up the stairs and head right. Then, head right and up the stairs to reach the 45th floor.

How To Solve The Puzzle On The 45th Floor

Now, as you reach the 45th floor, you will notice that a lot of the floor is missing. Instead, there will be moving platforms, so you will have to activate both of the switches ahead to unlock the path. If you attempt to do that with Flynt Buckler, it will not be possible.

What you need to do is head to the north switch and jump on it. Then, hold the smash button and head south and west. After that, use the Buckler to activate the switch on the left side, and as you do that, press the smash button to activate the switch at the north. This will unlock the path for you, so you can go ahead.

Head To The 46th Floor

Now that the path for you has been unlocked, it is time to head to the upper floor. Once you are there, save your game, head to the right, and enter through the first door you see. After you enter the room, the new Patches of the company will appear, and shortly after, some enemies will appear.

All of the enemies are going to be tough in this battle, but if you have enough SP to use Patches Seismic Snug, it will be a piece of cake. After the fight, on the right side, there will be a key. Pick that up, head left, and go up the stairs to unlock the door to the 47th floor.

Head Up To The 50th Floor

Now that you are on the 47th floor, there is nothing here, so you can quickly move to the next floor. Do so, and you will have to defeat some enemies. Once you have defeated them, head left and go up the stairs to reach the 49th floor.

There will be many enemies inside, so defeat them and move the box to the far right side. Then, use the box to jump over to the other side, head right, and go up to the 50th floor.

Use Your Character’s Abilities To Move Forward

On the left, use Wolfgang’s ability to move forward, use Tinder flames to burn the barrel, and then use Eva’s spell to move the platform to the right. Then, using the new path, head left, burn the bomb plant, jump, and throw the Buckler to the other side to light the explosive barrel on fire. After that, use the Eva spell to become a seal again.

After that, move the platform to the left side, deactivate the seal, and destroy the wall using Patches’ smash attack. This will cause the mouse to come out. Now, before taking the mouse to the left side using the platform, you need to destroy the wooden box in the middle of it.

You can do that by turning the mouse into a bouncing mushroom and lighting the bomb flower on fire. Once done, move the platform to the right with the mouse on top of it. Then, transform the mouse into the bouncing mushroom to jump and head right.

Head To The 53rd Floor

Go up the stairs, enter the 52nd floor, defeat some enemies, and then head up to the 53rd floor. Save your game along the way and make sure to restore your character’s HP and MP. Then, enter the 53rd floor, and inside you will find the board members as well as the CEO.

After the conversation, a boss fight will be triggered against the former.

How To Defeat The Board Members

Before you fight them, you should know that if you try to defeat the board members one by one, it will not work. If one falls, one of the others will revive them after a couple of turns. Because of this, you will need to take them all out at the same time. They can also use food items to heal themselves, which can make the fight frustrating.

Strategy To Defeat Them At Once

I do not recommend using Flynt here, as his attacks are just going to be deflected back by the vault board member. Because of that, your team should consist of Patches and Tinder, as they have the best abilities to deal with these enemies.

You will need six SP points to use Blazing Whirlwind twice. This will deal a ton of damage to the opponents, and since it hits all of them, the damage will be equal. Another attack that will be very helpful is Teddy Tremor, as it also deals equal damage and removes the blue light effect that protects them.

That said, it will still protect one of them from that attack. Because of this, you can swap a character for Flynt and destroy it using his Buckler, or use Tinder fire breath if there is nothing in front. Eventually, you will be able to defeat them, and even if the ones you have defeated are revived, it will not be much of a setback since their health bars will be quite low.

Note: One of the board members can change the rules of battle and implement different effects. For example, he can ban the usage of items and even synergy attacks. However, this is not a permanent debuff.

Head To The CEO’s Office

Once you have defeated the enemies, go to the upper floor, and you will reach the CEO’s office. Before doing so, make sure to restore your party’s HP and MP. After a long conversation with her, you will find out that she is the author of The Adventure of Flynt Buckler.

Once the conversation is over, head right, go up the stairs, and you will reach the Telepager hub. Head up the stairs, and you will meet the CEO again. After a short conversation with her, the final boss fight of the game will begin.

How To Defeat The CEO Of Ever After Inc.

The machine the CEO is riding is known as The Page Ripper, and it has a massive amount of health. There are also two hands attached to the Ripper, which are separate machines of their own. They will constantly attack you, so defeating them will give you temporary relief from their onslaught.

As the fight starts, you may receive a lot of damage, as the CEO effectively has three turns. While they are not exactly three turns, if you count the turns of the mechanical hands separately, it makes sense. Try to take out at least one of the hands and then focus on damaging the Ripper.

Once you have slightly damaged it, the scenery will change as the CEO teleports you inside the castle. As the scenery changes, she will use a very strong attack that deals serious damage. You must time your block correctly, just as the attack is about to hit you.

The Three Blind Mice Join The Fight

After that hit, the Three Blind Mice will join the fight and attack the CEO. They will deal a small amount of damage to the Ripper. The attack you need to be most careful of is when the Ripper starts sucking in the egg NPC. This is the same attack she uses at the start after changing the scenery.

Another attack you need to watch out for is when the Mecha Hand grabs you. Block as soon as the hand lifts you up, because if you fail to do so, the damage it deals will be recovered by the Ripper.

Change Of Scenery Again

After you deal even more damage, the CEO will change the scenery again. This time, at the start, the Ripper will absorb a unicorn, and the timing to dodge this attack is slightly different from the previous one.

Note: I recommend using Blazing Whirlwind and Buckler Blowout as your synergy attacks, as they are the most useful. Using Blazing Whirlwind to take out both hands and deal some damage to the Ripper’s health will give you the opportunity to use Buckler Blowout on the boss.

After you deal additional damage, the scenery will change to Innsbeak. Most of the attacks will remain the same, and after you deal more damage, you will be teleported to Treasure Cove. There, Captain Silver will join the battle and help you out. He will deal strong single-hit damage to the boss.

Defeating The CEO

After a few more attacks, you will finally damage the Ripper enough for the CEO to consider retreating. However, Mr. Moon will step in and save the day. At this point, you just need to sever the network by pressing the red button. Shortly after that, the telepager network will shut down, and Chapter Five: Real World in Escape From Ever After will come to an end.
