Now that you have completed the second chapter of the game, you have gained another team member. The game will only get more complicated as you get more characters. The next chapter can also be pretty confusing, so here in this guide, I will provide you with a complete walkthrough of Chapter Three: Treasure Cove in Escape From Ever After.

Escape From Ever After – Chapter Three: Treasure Cove Walkthrough

Once the conversation with Eva and the rest of the group is over, you can check your PC to see if you have any mail. There will be a few emails, but the main one is from Mr. Moon. So head over to the balcony to start the third chapter. That said, if you do not want to start the next chapter just yet, you can complete the tasks that others have given you via email.

Once you are done, head to where Helga is, as that area is the balcony. You can also upgrade your skills, and after that, talk to Mr. Moon, who can be found at the top left corner. He will then give you a new book called Treasure Cove, so head over to the Library and teleport to the new area.

Teleport To Treasure Cove

As you teleport to Treasure Cove, you will find yourself in another branch of Ever After Inc. Head to the right side, and you will find Mr. Moon there. Then, talk to the different employees, and Starla will eventually call everyone into the conference room.

Head into the conference room, and the CEO of the company will appear. Then, several events and a long conversation will take place. After that, Eva will come up with a plan to head back to the real world to find Captain Silver.

Head Back To The Real World To Find Captain Silver

You need to head over to the right side after entering the door north of the reception. However, the path there is not unlocked, so you will have to look for another way. You will notice a cat on the northwest side. Right next to the cat, there will be a sprout. Use Wolfgang’s ability to grow the sprout and use it to go up.

Enter through the door and then move forward along the path. Activate the lever after going down the stairs, then go back up. Now, do not go to the left, head south, and enter through the door. Then, follow the path, go down, activate the switch to unlock a shortcut, and head right.

You are now inside the accounting department, where Captain Silver is located. Head up from the north side, and you will find the person you are looking for. After having a conversation with him, you will need to find his compass to continue progressing through the chapter.

How To Find Captain Silver’s Compass

Now, to find Captain Silver’s compass, you need to head to the IT department. Head down and then go right. Inside, you will find a teddy bear named Patches. Talk to him, and you will find out who stole the compass. Since you still have Sherlock’s ability, you can track the footprints.

Track the footprints, and inside Tinder’s bedroom, you will notice that the compass is on display for sale. It will have an enormous price tag of 999, so interact with it to confront the mice. After a conversation with them, you will get the compass.

Head Back To Captain Silver With The Compass

Now that you have the item you needed, head back to the captain to give him the compass. Then head to Treasure Cove and choose the ship location. Since you are now on a pirate ship, you need proper clothes to continue. Head right, go up the ladder, and talk to Scratch.

Wear Your Pirate Suit And Hat

You will then receive a Pirate Suit and Hat. Wear them, head down, and talk to the captain to start the voyage. On the way, you will have to fight some other pirates who are after the bounty as well. This fight will not be hard, as the enemies are unicorns.

However, be aware of the one standing on the barrel, as he will deal a lot of damage to both of your characters. After the fight, the captain will take you to the resting area, where you can rest to recover your HP and MP. Then head back up and talk to the captain again.

Assign One Of Your Crew Members On The Lookout

He will then ask you to assign one of your crew members to be on lookout duty at the crow’s nest so no more ships ambush you. I asked Wolfgang to do the job. Once you have assigned anyone you want, head over to the captain and tell him that you are ready to continue the journey.

Defeat The Silver Sabers

As you get closer to the island containing the next piece of the map, you will have to fight the Silver Sabers. The two of them are fairly strong and can inflict Exhaust on your character. If your character becomes exhausted, they will use twice the amount of MP for attacks.

Although they deal decent damage, they do not have much health, so this fight should be an easy victory. After the battle, talk to the captain again to continue the journey.

Defeat The Gnome Dome

As you continue the journey, more pirates will attack you. This time, the Gnome Dome will be the attackers, and there will be quite a few of them. If you have enough SP, use Tinder’s Blazing Whirlwind, as it will literally one-shot all of them, ending the battle in a single attack.

After the battle, talk to the captain again to continue the journey.

Defeat The Crimson Corsairs

The next pirates who are going to attack you are the Crimson Corsairs. There are going to be three of them, and this fight can be a little tricky. I recommend having Eva in your team, as she can easily take care of the enemy in the front. Once you have dealt with the first one, the fight becomes much simpler. Defeat them and then ask the captain to resume the journey.

After that, you will have a long and pretty interesting conversation with Tinder. Following this, another ship is going to attack you, so defeat the enemies. However, beware of the cannon, as it can deal quite a lot of damage. After defeating more enemies, the captain will take you into his office and give you an Energy Drink.

Pick up the drink, head back up, and continue the voyage.

Head To The Port Cutlass

After a bit of drama, head south from the ship and jump onto the small boat. You will arrive in Port Cutlass in no time. Now you need to find the next piece of the map. Explore the area a bit to find some rare gems and discover new places. You need to enter Graybeard’s House, but it requires a code.

How To Find The Code To Enter Graybeard’s House

Head south and use the seal magic to continue to the left side. There, you will see two people talking, so listen from the bottom. You will learn that the code is 472. After that, go back to the ground level and enter the house to the north.

There will be a pirate on the right side. Talk to him and tell him the code. After that, he will permit you to enter. Now, Graybeard will not give you the next map unless you prove that you knew Blackheart personally. Pick up the Bottle of Rum with a skull on it and head outside.

Learn Blackheart’s Melody

In the southeast, you will find a sea creature at a stall. Talk to the creature and give him the Bottle of Rum. If you don’t get the right dialogue, then head left and talk to the unicorn. After that, come back tothe sea creature and you should be able to get the relevant dialogue. Then, enter the Ever After office, talk to Sherlock inside, and pick up the crab. After that, exit the office, head left, and talk to the unicorn with the fishing pole.

Next, head back to where the seal drawing is and go left. You will stop near a bird and listen to its melody. This is Blackheart’s Melody, which can help you convince Graybeard that you knew him personally. There is also a cave along the way that contains some interesting items.

Head Back To Graybeard

Now, head back to Graybeard and, using Wolfgang, play the melody to convince him. You will then get the next piece of the map. After that, talk to the captain to start the journey again.

On the way, you are going to face more different enemies, but it will not be that difficult to defeat them. After defeating a group of enemies, make sure to rest to recover your HP and MP. This way, defeating some enemies will not be a problem for you. Also, make sure to talk to the captain after the battle to continue the journey.

Eventually, the Three Pigs will ambush you, and it is time to fight them again.

How To Defeat The Three Pigs

The first attack you should use is Teddy Tremor, as it is extremely useful in such situations. Then use Tinder’s Firebreath to get rid of the shield the first pig has. Their attacks will be almost the same as before, so just block and keep dealing damage to them.

As there are three enemies, the best play here would be using Tinder’s Blazing Whirlwind. Eventually, you will defeat them again, and they will try to run away, but their ship will not start. Now they will be on your ship, so continue the journey. As you travel further, a mysterious ship in the fog will appear.

Head Inside The Mysterious Ship

As you enter the ship, the ghost of Captain Blackheart will appear. He will notice that you have a piece of the map entrusted by Graybeard. Since Graybeard deemed you worthy, Blackheart will let you and your crew leave, but on one condition. You will have to pass two trials of wit.

How To Complete The Trials Of Wit

There are two trials you need to complete, and both of them are pretty simple.

The First Trial

After the conversation is over, head down the stairs and smash the rocks ahead with the ability of Patches. This will reveal a spirit that you have to follow to reach the other side. If you are having a hard time remembering where to go, then simply follow my instructions.

First, head to the southernmost side and travel to the second block. Then head north four blocks, take a right, and stop at the block right before the skull. Then head south one block, then right, and south two blocks. Head right four blocks and then head north two blocks. Then head left two blocks, go to the most northern side, and then travel to the east.

The Second Trial

Now head right with the correct timing and smash the red button with the help of Patches. Then turn into a seal, head left, and bring back the platform to the right side. After that, undo the magic and head right once the spikes go underground. As you reach near the platform, jump on it and wait for the spikes to go back inside again.

Now, just head right, and you will meet the ghost of Blackheart again. He will then ask you to do a favor for him by burying him after finding his treasure. After that, the fog will be lifted so you can continue the journey. Eventually, you will reach the Volcanic Island.

Head To The Volcanic Island

Use the boat to go to the Volcanic Island, and once you do, use Patches’ abilities to move ahead. When you cannot go up anymore, smash the blue block and then activate the switch on the left side. You will need to bring the red block near the wooden bridge up again after activating the lever.

So head down and smash the blocks. Then come back up and use the spring to move further ahead. Eventually, you will reach the lava area.

How To Solve The Red And Blue Blocks Puzzle

Now, smash the red block to head up and then hold the smash button on top of the blue block. Then head down and activate the lever on the right side. Smash the red block if needed before you do the whole setup.

Then, stand on the blue block that is currently underground and let go of the smash button. After that, activate the lever on the right and hold the smash button on top of the blue block at the bottom platform. Flynt needs to stay above, so smash it and then follow the path ahead, and you will reach Molten Maw Volcano.

Explore The Molten Maw Volcano To Find The Map

Go ahead, defeat the enemies, and you will then have to cross a couple of platforms to go further, but it will be a little tricky. Hold the smash button on the left one and make sure Flynt is standing on the right one. Then move ahead, and you will face a very interesting enemy.

It will summon more enemies and will take less damage. Using Patches’ Pillow Punch is the best play here. After defeating the enemy, follow the path. Then you will find the mice again. Save your game, and there is a rock pile to the north that you need to clear.

Save The Mice

You can’t just smash the pile, so head to the left and use the moving platforms to proceed further. Head up the path, defeat some enemies, and eventually you will reach a darker cave.

Use Tinder’s flame to increase visibility and move further. Keep going right, and at the end of the path, you will have to head down. Smash the button, and the entrance ahead will be unlocked. Then go up from the left side and keep moving forward. Eventually, you will hear Penny screaming for help.

Save Penny From The Enemies

Hit the enemy ahead with your buckler and defeat them. You will have to fight two separate groups, and once you win, Penny will run away. While you have saved Penny, you also have to save Scratch, so head back the path you came from and, after exiting the cave, head south and take a right.

Make A Path For The Mouse To Reach The Other Side

Inside the area, you will notice a rat on the north side. You need to make space for the rat to go ahead. So smash the first red block and then move ahead using the platforms in the lava. Smash another red block, but make sure to do it when the rat is ahead of the first block.

Then, as the rat goes onto the third block, smash the right one. Now charge your smash on the left one and wait for the mouse to face the right side. As soon as the mouse starts running toward the right side, smash the block. Now you need to make sure the mouse goes to the upper platform.

Once it reaches the other side, it is time for you to head there. Hold the smash on the first platform and jump in the middle. Do not worry, just jump and release the smash button. Then head over to the mouse and turn it into a bouncing mushroom to move ahead. After that, smash the button to open the gate.

Save Scratch

Now go ahead, do some platforming, and fight some enemies. Shortly after, you will come across some slightly complicated platforming. Smashing the first one lifts the third one, and the second one lifts the fourth one. So you will have to hold the smash button and move Flynt around to progress.

You do not really need to align the platforms perfectly. Just align them roughly and immediately head over to Scratch. Now head back to where you came from, and you will notice the mice have set up dynamite in the rock pile.

Blow Up The Rock Pile To Get The Treasure Map

So use Tinder’s flame to light up the dynamite and blow up the rock pile. This will open up a path for you, and just ahead will be the last piece of the map. After getting the map, you do not really need to escape the place. Just move forward and fall into the lava. This will cause your entire party to exit the volcano.

Getting The Treasure Map Back

Now you need to get the treasure map back, so ask the captain to start the chase. On the way, you will be attacked by some pirates. I used Blazing Whirlwind to one-shot them. At the next stop, you will meet Trollbert again, asking for the toll, so now you have to fight him.

He will start the fight with a cannonball, which deals immense damage even if you block it. It will also hit both of your teammates. You will also need to take care of the cannons. I recommend having Patches and Tinder fight this enemy, as they will be able to deal the most damage.

After defeating him, start the chase again, and you will catch up with the mice. You now have to fight the mice.

Defeat The Three Blind Mice

They are the same old mice, so it is not going to be a difficult fight. Simply choose Tinder and use the Blazing Whirlwind attack, then follow it up with Teddy Tremor. Now switch Tinder with Eva and use Teddy Tremor again. They will have a lot of health now, so it may take longer than you expected.

That said, if you get back to three SP points, switch Eva with Tinder and use Blazing Whirlwind. After defeating them, rest and then talk to the captain. After that, you will reach the island containing Blackheart’s treasure.

Find Blackheart’s Treasure

After fighting some enemies, head to the island and follow the path ahead. You will notice Captain Silver in the middle of the area. Head to him and burn the plant in the middle to reveal the music sign. This means you have to play Blackheart’s Melody to unlock the path ahead.

Do so, and the ghost of Blackheart will appear. He will ask you to bury his bones here and not to give Ever After any of the money you find from the treasure. So head right, save your game, and inside the cave on the right side, you will find the treasure of Blackheart.

One thing will lead to another, and you will now have to fight Captain Silver.

How To Defeat Captain Silver

Captain Silver asks you to duel with him, and you can only use two characters at a time. You cannot swap, but it is not going to be exactly like that. He will first fight Wolfgang and Patches.

He will start the fight by shooting both of your characters and follow it up with a barrel rush. When it is your turn, break the barrel and start attacking him. He can bring the barrel back, so you will have to break it more than once.

Second Phase

Once you have defeated him, the second phase will begin. Now he will ask to fight against Flynt and Eva. Since he now has a shield, throwing the Buckler at him will not do anything. Also, if his sword is facing upward, you will not be able to attack him with Eva either.

So the only way you can deal damage to him is by hitting the stalactites on the ceiling of the cave. This will disarm the captain, so you will be able to deal damage. Then he will ask Tinder to replace Flynt, and the third phase will start.

Third Phase

Make sure to time the dodge of the parrot’s attacks, as they deal serious damage. Only Eva can damage the parrots when they are flying, but you do not even have to fight them. They will keep respawning, so it will become an endless loop. Instead, attack the captain, and you will finish the fight in no time.

Fourth Phase

Then phase four will begin, and he will ask to fight Flynt and Patches. This fight is going to be very easy, so when you win it, it will be time for the last round.

Fifth Phase

This fight is going to be a little more challenging than the other ones, mainly because of the two cannons. Take care of them and damage the captain with the larger AoE attacks. Using Blazing Whirlwind will also be quite helpful here. After winning this round, the boss fight will be over, and the captain will admit defeat.

After that, you will have a meeting with Mr. Moon and be promoted to Project Manager. With that, Chapter Three, Treasure Cove in Escape From Ever After, will be over.
