Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough of Expeditions: Samurai Quest Number 3, Incensed Against Us.
Expeditions: Samurai is a team-based RPG featuring turn-based combat. The game focuses heavily on tactical battles, so you have to be quite careful throughout your journey. During that journey, many twists and turns will take place, although the story is currently incomplete because the game launched in Early Access. For more information, head over to its Steam page.
As Expeditions: Samurai is an RPG, there are going to be many choices that you will have to make. Those choices can be quite difficult, so you may need some help along the way. The combat can also be a little challenging at times. So, in this guide, we will provide you with a complete walkthrough of the third main quest, Incensed Against Us.

Expeditions: Samurai is currently available in Early Access, so you can expect to come across some bugs and glitches. Since this is not the final version of the game, there are still issues that need to be ironed out. During our playthrough, we ran into a few bugs, but none of them were game-breaking. That said, you may encounter an issue that could affect your experience. If you would rather wait for a more polished version, it may be worth holding off until the full release. On the other hand, if you are interested in jumping in early and sharing constructive feedback on what could be improved, your input could help the developer make the game even better.

Expeditions: Samurai – Incensed Against Us Walkthrough
After you have spoken with Tanaka, who saved you from the Judge Commander of the Jesuit Order, you will have a conversation with El Gato. You need to choose the second dialogue option so you can get a bigger room. Once the conversation is over, your next objective will begin.
Go To Bed When You Are Ready To End The Day
This objective is rather simple since all you have to do is end the day by going to bed. However, you can spend some time exploring the area to see if you can find anything useful or speak with the other people nearby. You can discover several notes and even talk to Toyotomi Sayako-hime, who gave you her larger room.
Behind Sayako-hime, you can also find a piece of wooden furniture that contains the Mogami-do Gusoku, a superior heavy armor, a Revive Kit, and 13 mon. You can find Sayako-hime on the right side of the area. From the right side, exit the room and continue heading farther to the right.
Once you are done exploring, return to your room and go to sleep.
As you sleep, the next objective will automatically be triggered.
Eliminate The Assailants
Kage will rush toward you, believing that your group is responsible for the attack. However, upon arriving, he will realize that you are actually inside the room, and you will get three dialogue options to choose from. Select the first option.
There are going to be several enemies in total, so your main goal is to move toward them from the left side.
If your character happens to move to the right side instead, that works out well because you will be able to take down some of the enemies more easily. That happened during our playthrough, and it seemed like a glitch. However, if it is actually intended, then it definitely works in your favor. Either way, eliminate a couple of enemies from whichever side you end up approaching.
Unfortunately, Piet will not be with you, so you will have to win the battle using the teammates you currently have. Two of them will most likely be unarmed, but their fists still deal a respectable amount of damage. Try using your unarmed characters against enemies whose armor has already been shattered.
Alternatively, you can use the unarmed characters to break an enemy’s armor first, and then have one of your armed allies finish them off. Focus on defeating the enemies inside the room before anything else, as it is likely that a couple of them will become disobedient and attempt to run away.
As for the enemies who try to flee, do not chase after them recklessly. Follow them, but maintain some distance. If you get too close, they will be able to land attacks on your party. Once you have defeated all of the enemies, another conversation will be triggered.
After that conversation ends, you will receive two new objectives.
Talk To The Mysterious Samurai
First, speak with the mysterious samurai, Kage, who rushed into your room while you were about to sleep. He will be standing on the right side, right next to your character. Because he is already nearby, it is better to speak with him before talking to Lady Sayako.
Kage is a highly skilled ronin, so make sure you respond positively when selecting your dialogue options.
As the conversation continues, you will eventually get the chance to recruit him. Make sure you choose that option because having another skilled fighter join your crew is always a valuable addition. After recruiting him, assign someone else to stay up with Kage.
We chose Piet for that role.
Talk To Lady Sayako
Before speaking with Lady Sayako, we highly recommend looting the bodies of the enemies you defeated. They carry valuable items that will come in handy later, so make sure you collect everything before moving on.
Once you have finished looting, it is time to speak with Lady Sayako.
She will also be standing nearby. Head to the left side and begin a conversation with her. She will reward you, and once the conversation ends, a pop-up will appear and time will pass. After that, you will receive a new objective.
Talk To Tanaka
As you speak with Tanaka, several dialogue options will appear. Select the first option. If you want to ask him additional questions afterward, feel free to do so. Once you are finished, thank him for the advice and end the conversation.
After your conversation with Tanaka is over, you will receive the next objective, which is to visit the Jesuit Church.
Visit The Jesuit Church
You need to visit the Jesuit Church in the Nagasaki Market to meet the Father Visitor. With that in mind, head downward and leave the area from the left side to enter the market. Before leaving, you will also have to choose up to four party members to accompany you.
We selected Raina, Piet, and Kage to join us.
Once you leave the area, head up the wooden stairs on the left side and continue forward. Turn left, and you will find a locked chest ahead. You can open it by controlling Kage. Loot the chest, return to the previous path, and continue north.
Simply make your way to the church. As you enter, walk straight ahead, and a conversation will begin. Choose the first dialogue option when it is your turn to answer. Follow that up by selecting the first option again, and you will then be presented with additional choices.
Next, choose the third option. You will then be asked what your next step is now that the ambassador is dead and the mission has failed. When that question comes up, choose the first option. After that, you can finish the conversation.
Head To Tanaka
Once the conversation is over, head outside the church where Tanaka will be waiting for you. He arrives with news that his lord is waiting for you at his manor, so that is where you need to go next.
Head to the right side of the area and leave for Dom Sancho’s Manor.
Once you arrive at the manor, continue forward while opening the doors along the way until you reach Dom Sancho. Interact with him to begin a conversation. Handle the conversation in a positive manner, and Sancho will eventually ask you to bring him the document that the ambassador received from the Queen.
Your next destination is to head to the ship to get the letter. With that, the Incensed Against Us quest in Expeditions: Samurai will come to an end.
