FAR: Changing Tides Walkthrough – Part 15: Reactor

Part 15: Reactor

Here, our objective is to replace the broken component, which can be found in the center of the reactor area. To the bottom-left of the broken component, you’ll find a blue button. Press it to unfasten the component.

Now swim up to the winch above and pull the lever left so as to align the hook of the winch with the catch on top of the broken component.

Press the button above the lever to lower the hook and grab the broken component. Hold the lever left now to get the broken component over the lit-up rails to the left of the reactor.

Lower the broken component with the button to put the broken component on the rail.

Now go all the way right and pick up a fresh component from the rail on the right of the reactor. Pick it up and take it to the center of the reactor – onto the component slot.

Lower the component onto the slot and it’ll fit automatically. Now get out, swim down and press the same button you used previously to unfasten the component.

The button will now get everything working again and an opening will let you return to the ship by swimming straight up.

Take any fuel you find up to the ship and start your steam engine. Keep it going until the boost button is enabled. Press the boost button in your ship to power the reactor.

This will lift your ship all the way up to the surface.

Once the cutscene ends, exit the ship and go left to find a very long ladder. Climb it up to the top. Press the giant blue button here to restore power to the entire area.

When it’s daytime, return to the ship and raise your sails. Once they catch wind, you will be able to move and force your way out of the structure and back into the sea. Once you’re in the water you can continue as you like.
