Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Genesis Noir! Use this walkthrough to solve the game’s many tactile puzzles and save Miss Mass by halting the expansion of the universe.

The Apartment

We now have the ceremonial cup, adding another spiral to our collection. Our next mission is titled Improvisations.

Improvisations

We start with No Man and his saxophone hanging out in space. Begin by dragging the white bar below to the left or right, so as to find a frequency where the wave in the background is at its smoothest. When you have it right, hold it there for a second or two and you’ll hear a chime.

Repeat this process three more times.

At the title screen, head right for a while. When you’re at the stairs for the metro, tap on No Man to go up. Now click on the train and drag it to the right constantly until it’s off-screen.

Once the train is gone and you can see the train track from top-down, click on the golden track switcher. Once again, drag the train down until it reaches the station and No Man gets out.

Tap on No Man three times and then on the next frame, drag him to the right towards the music. When he’s at the window looking out, drag the scene down to the Beat Brother playing the bass.

Tap on the Beat Brother repeatedly until you see a cutscene.

Next up, we have a puzzle where you must repeat the notes that the Beat Brother plays. These notes are fixed, so you can follow the guide below. Note that I’m numbering the notes from left to right.

The first go, you need to play 3, 1.

On the second go, play 3, 1, 2, 4.

On the third go, play 3, 1, 2, 4, 2, 3.

After this, you can play as you like using the notes available. Play your sax alongside with the Beat Brother as you see fit.

When the screen gets framed in white, continue playing on the wider note scale. Notice that you can play by dragging now. Once you’ve had your fill, tap on the Beat Brother in the background to proceed.

In the next section where you see the empty night sky, drag on the night sky to conjure a city full of buildings. Keep doing as the camera zooms out and until you see the metro train again.

Drag the metro train around its circular orbit until you proceed to the next scene.

Tap on the bass to pick it up and then on the spiral on your hand to proceed.
