Preparations For Clearing The Cathedral Of The Nameless God
You can most definitely complete the Cathedral without unlocking any skills from the Mask of Greed. However, unlocking certain skills gives you a clear advantage and makes it incredibly easy to clear the area.
You should first unlock the Double Jump, Fart Sprint, the Parachute, and the Grappling Hook skills. These skills let you move around more freely and get to hard-to-reach places with ease in the cathedral.

Vyke can also learn smoke and sneak skills that can help him steal more easily. Some coinbeetle skills can also make it easy for you to sneak around.

Upper Cathedral
Upper Cathedral is the first area that you’ll arrive in after coming to the Cathedral of the Namless God. Initially, you’ll find the path blocked on the left, so you’ll have to go right first.
You’ll have to drop down on the path here. You’ll spot the rolling stones falling from an opening to your right while going down.

Saving Eddie Sunstrike
The rolling stone path can be reached after you’ve unlocked the double jump and Fart Sprint skill. If you’ve received a quest from Dummy to find Eddie Sunstrike inside the dungeon, you can find him in this area.
Eddie is locked inside a prison. You’ll need the key to get him out. There’s a notice board that says the key is kept by Hook Wardens. If you go deeper into the area, you’ll find an area marked with a key on the map.

Here, you’ll have to steal the key from the skeletons carrying a grappling hook. These are extremely challenging enemies to get away from if you get caught, because they’ll pull you close every time you try to get away. Use the coinbeetles to lure the warden out and steal from it by hiding in the bushes.

Once you’ve freed Eddie Sunstrike, he’ll meet you back in the shop, and you’ll unlock the Franchises option.
From the key region, you’ll find a path leading to the East Cathedral Statue.

Ritual Notes
In the easternmost chamber of the upper cathedral, you’ll find a giant portrait of the nameless god. There’s also a Masked Elf here, and they’re looking for the history of the cathedral.
You’ll have to find the three ritual notes and give them to the masked elf to continue the quest. You can steal these ritual notes from each of the skeletons guarding the three bells in the Lower Cathedral.

Once you’ve given the Masked Elf all the ritual notes, they’ll tell you more about the past of the Cathedral, and will tell you that they’re going deeper into the dungeon.

East Cathedral
The East Cathedral can be reached by going to the right from the Upper Cathedral statue. Once you find the statue, there’s a path going left. You’ll encounter a rolling stone trap here, but it can be disabled by using the lever ahead.
You’ll also find a cursed chest with multiple arms coming out of it. You can feed these chests the cursed wings that you can steal from the flying drone-like eyeballs all over the region.

At first, there won’t be many places you can go from the East Cathedral statue, but as you explore the area, you’ll unlock many new paths that lead back to this statue.
You can then teleport to this statue here again to get to those locations more quickly. If you encounter any paths that require a Gold Leaf, you can find it inside the running chests. You can find two running chests in the Cathedral. They have a big eye on them.
If you approach these chests, they’ll run away. You have to sneak behind them to loot the contents inside of it.

West Cathedral
Once you unlock the lift leading back to the Upper Cathedral statue, you’ll find the path leading to the West Cathedral statue shortly ahead. There’s a campfire here. You’ll also encounter Miyazaki the Goodman here for the first time, who will give you a collectible.

Balin The Broke Warrior
If you take the path leading west from the campfire, you’ll find Balin the Broke Warrior sitting in the hallway. He’ll ask you to claim his trusty axe, which is being guarded by a blind monster.
When you follow the path, you’ll find bells in the area. If you touch the bells, the mage will attack you. You’ll have to avoid the bells and the drones. You’ll find the axe on the extreme left of the area.

Take the axe and return it to Balin. He’ll reward you with a collectible anvil. The West Cathedral leads you further downwards. Here, you’ll find a path leading to the Lower Cathedral.

Lower Cathedral
The Lower Cathedral is where you’ll find the path leading to the next region. When you approach the statue, there will be a lever here. Use the lever to lower the platform, and you’ll find Bekka here.

Bekka
Bekka arrived earlier in the shop to request a sword free of charge. If you gave her a sword, you’ll find her lying injured near the Lower Cathedral statue.
She’ll ask for a healing potion. If you give her the healing potion, she’ll return to the shop the next day, asking for a level 3 sword. If you don’t have the sword or upgrade grease yet, you can save her later.

Eastern Lower Cathedral
If you go east from here, you’ll find another chamber with the campfire. It functions similarly to the one you encountered before, and you can find employees here.
If you go further east, you’ll find a locked gate here. This locked prison gate will require you to steal a key from another hook warden.

Unlock the gate with the key, and you’ll find the bodies of a few defeated adventurers. You’ll also encounter Parker Frey, who’ll ask you for a pouch of gold.
Once you’ve given him a pouch of gold, he’ll disappear. You can then make your way further into the lower cathedral.

The Three Bells And Path To Goldville
In the deepest part of the lower cathedral, you’ll find a grand lift. However, it is blocked by magic. As you enter the area, you’ll see three Skeleton Priests talking about not letting you ring the bells.
Here, each of the Skeleton Priests is carrying a Ritual Note, which can be given to the Masked Elf in the Upper Cathedral. These Skeleton Priests can’t be killed with traps, and even if they die, they’ll respawn in seconds.

You have to make use of the coinbeetle baits to lure the Skeleton Priests away from the three bells. Note that the security in the area gets tougher every time you ring a bell.

The first bell is in the left half of the area. After ringing it, you’ll have to cross the lift and go to the right half, where you’ll find the other two bells.

Once all three bells have been rung, the barrier on the lift will be broken. You’ll have to jump on the grand lift and will then arrive in Goldville, the next area of the dungeon.
