Goblin Vyke: The Thief Tycoon features an interesting concept where you play as Vyke, a goblin. Vyke has inherited a massive debt from Lucius Goldleaf after his father passed away, and now, he must find a way to pay Lucius back. However, as you explore the dungeons, you’ll find out that there’s a lot going on behind the scenes.

Descending Into The Mine
The Mine of Echoing Cries is the fourth area in the game. It can be reached by defeating Hendrik in the Burnt Ruins of Goldville.
The area is full of cursed mist and wraiths. You’ll also see cursed lanterns in this area. If the curse bar on the screen fills to the max, Vyke will take damage periodically and will be slowed until the curse bar fully depletes.

You can use potions to dispel the curse and make yourself immune to it for a short duration. You’ll be able to get these potions from some of the enemies in this area.
Furthermore, as you arrive in the cursed mines from the grand lift, you’ll find that most of the paths are blocked by the cursed mist. You’ll have to find a switch somewhere to disable this mist.

Mine Entrance
Mine Entrance is the first statue that you can fast travel to. At first, the entirety of the right path will be covered in mist. That’s why you have to go left first.
Keep going left. You’ll encounter some enemies. Shortly after, you’ll find a lift. Just beyond the lift, you’ll find Felix Stonefist, a dwarf who has been looking for Jokes. You can find these jokes as crumpled pieces of paper spread all over the dungeon.

Go up on the lift, there’s a hidden path to your left. You’ll find a miner enemy here. If you get hit by one of the attacks by miners, they’ll put you in a nearby shaft, and you’ll be teleported to the other end of that shaft.
From the lift, you have to go right. There will be some enemies here. You can get rid of them by using the mine carts. Shortly ahead, you’ll encounter an invisible wraith.

Wraiths
The mines are full of invisible wraiths. You can’t deal damage to them, and they’re invisible. You can either judge their location by their periodic cries or you can unlock the advanced observation skill from Vyke’s talent menu.
The advanced observation skill will allow you to see and mark invisible targets, and it’s extremely helpful in this area. Note that the Wraiths don’t go chasing the coinbeetle’s bell mimic skill, so you’ll just have to move fast when you encounter one.

First Mist Switch
The first mist switch is shortly ahead of the first wraith that you encounter. You’ll have to be quick as you open the doors in the section.
As you move ahead, you’ll find a large switch on a platform. There are some wraiths around here, but if you’re sneaky enough, you’ll be able to pull the lever before the wraiths can interrupt you. Once that’s done, the mist on the lower-left half from the entrance will be removed.

From the entrance, go left. However, you’ll have to go to the new area that has become accessible after you dispelled the mist.
You’ll have to go through a section filled with enemies as you keep progressing. Eventually, you’ll arrive in a long hallway with mine carts coming at you from the opposite direction.

You have to jump over the cart whenever possible to avoid damage. Just before the end of the hallway, there’s some fragile ground that will break if you step on it. If you fall down here, you’ll find an invisible running chest.
Most of the platforms here are not fully accessible, as Vyke isn’t small enough to squeeze through the tiny spaces on these platforms, like the running chest.

What you have to do here is lure the chest to the bottom-left corner of the section. You can’t get here from any other path, but there’s a hidden path to the right, just beyond the elevator. This path will lead you behind the running chest, and you can safely steal from it.

Second Mist Switch
The lift will lead you up. Now, if you go right, you’ll find a mural of the Nameless God. There’s also a shaft here. Get in it. You’ll enter another area with enemies. Keep progressing, and you’ll find the second mist switch.
After you pull the second mist switch, go left, and you’ll arrive near the mine’s entrance. This will dispel the mist on the right side of the Mine Entrance statue.

Now, you’ll have to go down this path. It will take you to the long lift in the southeast part of the map. From here, you’ll be able to access the sections on the right.
You’ll encounter Parker Frey here. This time, you’ll have to fight against Parker Frey. Use the mine cart to deal damage to him. Once you’ve defeated him, you’ll be able to take a charm from him.

Third Mist Switch
After that, you have to make your way to the long hallway with the cart. There’s a path going up, next to the cursed chest. This will lead you to another area with wraiths.
You’ll find some bells on the bottom floor. A mage is walking here, so you have to be careful. You’ll find a large black switch in the middle.

Use the Mimic Bells to lure the mage away. Once you have pulled the switch, another area of mist will be cleared.
Now, you have to go to the long hallway with the cart again. Keep going left in the hallway till you find a ladder that you can kick down. Go down from it.

In the next section, you’ll find some enemies and wraiths. There’s a hidden path on the bottom-left corner of this section, but it’s locked behind the bowl. You’ll need a golden leaf to get through it, but we’ll come to it later.
Keep going ahead, and you’ll find your way to the No Man’s Crossroads statue.

No Man’s Crossroads
This is where you’ll find Balin and Bekka. Balin is sitting on the cliff before the statue. You can get on it by jumping from the lift.
Balin will ask you to help him repair his axe. He’ll ask you for three units of ore. You can steal ore from miner enemies from anywhere in the region.

On the bottom of the lift, if you go right, you’ll find Bekka. She is terrified of the enemies ahead, and she’ll accept your offer to come to the shop to work as your employee.
Now, if you go further ahead, you’ll find notice boards warning you of the dangers ahead. Note that this path does indeed take you to the next area, but it’s recommended not to take it.
There are many wraiths here, and it’s extremely difficult to pass through without dying.

At The Hidden Trail
To find the alternate path, you’ll have to first find a Gold Leaf. You can find one in a hidden area towards the west of the map.

You’ll be able to find this hidden area to the west of the camping room. The hidden area can be reached by using a grappling hook. You’ll have to go through the top-left corner of the area and drop down from there to find the Gold Leaf.

Bring the Gold Leaf to the hidden area with the bowl lock. Go to the place where you found Balin. Go left, and there’s a hidden area to the left of this section, on the bottom floor.
As you enter the area, you’ll find a lever to dispel the mist. Use it and keep going left. There’s another hidden path near the switch.

Keep going on the path, and you’ll eventually encounter Miyazaki the Goodman. A short scene will play where Lucius’ forces are using the safer path to transport the gold.
Down below, you’ll find the At The Hidden Trail statue. Now, if you progress ahead, you’ll find many shafts that lead you back to this statue.

All of the shafts will lead you back to the statue, except for one, and that’s the one near the miner. You’ll enter another area. There are many shafts here, but you don’t have to take any of them.

Go to the bottom-left path. You’ll find a hidden path just beyond the shaft. This will lead you to the Garden of the Demon Lord.
