Goblin Vyke: The Thief Tycoon – Part 5 Walkthrough: Goldleaf Bank

Goblin Vyke: The Thief Tycoon features a goblin who’s trying to clear his father’s debt. He has obtained a Mask of Greed that gives him new powers and allows him to steal from the dungeon at night and sell those goods at his shop during the day.

Gaining Access To The Goldleaf Bank

Goldleaf Bank is a unique area, and you can unlock it by completing the requests from Aliya, the blood elf. After you’ve completed some of the requests for her, she’ll come and give you access to the Goldleaf Bank’s Sewer Entrance.

While this area may become available before the Mine of Echoing Cries, it is recommended to go there after you’ve completed the mines, because you’ll need the charm from the Demon Lord.

In this area, Aliya asks you to unlock the three ducts or gates. This area doesn’t have the statues of the Nameless God, and the gates act as fast travel points.

Your priority is to unlock the three gates and then return to your shop. If you do that, you’ll be able to progress the story. Otherwise, you can only look for collectibles in the area.

You’ll also need to equip the Demon Lord’s Eye charm that lets you see real chests. Most of the chests in this area, especially the ones in groups, are mostly traps. These chests randomize every time, so you’ll need the charm to see which ones are real. The real ones will have a slight glow on them.

Sewer Entrance

As you enter the area, you’ll find some lasers in your path. These lasers temporarily turn off if an enemy unit passes under them.

You’ll also find two chests ahead. If you’ve equipped the Demon Lord’s charm, you’ll be able to see the real chest and obtain a silver key.

Keep going ahead, and you’ll arrive in the storage room. There are four gates on each side. The right set of doors is unlocked by four silver keys, while the left set requires golden keys.

You can get the silver keys from chests hidden in the entirety of the bank, while the golden keys can be stolen from Lucius’s men. These soldiers are glowing and have enhanced hearing in a small radius, which is represented by a yellow glow.

As you go up from the storage room, you’ll enter the main lift room. You’ll spot lasers here. You can hide under tables to avoid getting damaged. Keep going left.

You’ll encounter a blue chest hanging from above. There are three levers in the area. If you pull all of them, the blue chest will fall down. Blue chests inside the Goldleaf Bank are full of high-quality loot and potions.

Lasers

If you go one floor above, you’ll find the path to the lift towards your left. There are lasers here that will deal damage to you if you touch them.

Note that there are two lasers. You’ll first have to disable the lower laser and then the upper laser. Disabling the lasers also opens new paths.

However, once you’ve made it to the lift, you’ll be able to reach the third and fifth floors with ease to unlock the doors. Don’t forget to bring some healing potions and lots of HP bones if you have them, so that you can tank some of the smaller lasers.

Note that there’s a platform in the middle of the grand lift’s room. If you can get on it, you’ll find a golden leaf inside the chest.

The Plan

Once you’ve unlocked the gates and disabled the two lasers, you’ll be able to reach the roof from the top-left part of the map.

However, the path to the roof is blocked by a gigantic wall. If you return to your shop after unlocking the three gates, Aliya will come to your shop, asking about when you plan to attack the bank.

You can pick the same night, or the night after two days. On the night of the attack, Aliya will destroy the wall on the roof, and you’ll be able to enter the archive room from there.

Stealing The Seed

As you enter the archive, interact with the fireplace to set fire to all the contracts. Next, you’ll find a portal to your right. Take the portal, and you’ll arrive at the basement of the bank.

Once you’re inside the basement, go left. You’ll encounter a giant golem. Avoid the light coming from it, because if it catches you with the light, it will shoot a very strong laser at you. Take the ladder.

If you have HP, you can easily dash through the purple lasers ahead. On the left side, you’ll encounter another golem. For this one, you’ll have to go to the extreme left and take the ladder up.

There will be a crate above. Push the crate all the way to the right until the laser guarding the lever is completely blocked. You’ll then be able to go down to the next section.

Here, you’ll find another giant golem. However, the door ahead is locked. You have to go left from under the ground and push the crate all the way to the right on the platform connected to the lever.

Once the crate is on the lever, pull the lever, and the crate will go up. Now, you’ll have to push the crate to the right to block the laser guarding the lever.

When you’re all the way to the right, pull the lever, and that will unlock the gate below. Pass through the gate, and you’ll enter a room with many chests.

Find the glowing chest here. Take the golden seed from it and take the path ahead. You’ll eventually return to the Sewer Entrance from here.

Lucius Goldleaf’s Demise

Once you’ve obtained the golden seed, you can return to the shop. Next, you have to take the seed and give it to the Demon Lord in the Garden.

When you give it to the Demon Lord, they’ll tell you that Lucius will be dead the next day. When you return to the shop, you’ll read the news that Lucius has passed away suddenly.
