Great God Grove Walkthrough – Chapter 5: The End of the Line

Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Great God Grove.

This is a point-to-point walkthrough that takes you through the critical path to completing the game. Great God Grove has a lot more to offer apart from the steps outlined in this walkthrough, so we highly recommend that you explore and interact with its world as much as possible.

Chapter 5: The End of the Line

Chapter 5 formally begins after the battle with Capochin, which is covered toward the end of our walkthrough of Chapter 4.

Begin by entering Inspekta’s van through the misinformation gate.

Once inside The God Complex, follow the on-screen prompts to establish contact with King.

After some conversation, you’ll find yourself in a place called simply “???”. Go north until a conversation is triggered.

When you regain control of the Godpoke, go east, making sure to avoid the hands that are trying to hurt you.

Grab the Megapon when you can, and after the next conversation, run east again until you get to the platform with King.

Talk to King and continue her dialog to find the line “Why are you frightened?”. Grab this line and shoot it at Inspekta.

Following the next conversation, use your Megapon to suck the fist when it slams down on the floor (not the hands walking in a line).

Shoot this fist at the garbage to break it up. Do this twice.

Next, when you regain control of the Godpoke, suck up the line “IT’S OKAYALRIGHT TO BE FEAR-FRAID OF DEATH!”, said by Huzzle Mug.

Shoot this line at Inspekta.

In the next sequence, go north avoiding the fists slamming down. When you get to the wall of hands, use your Megapon to suck them up. This clears the way, so continue going north.

You’ll have to repeat this dance with the fists and hands a few times as you go north.

When the hands cover Inspekta, grab them with your Megapon to clear them out, as before.

When available, grab the line “Hector, is this how you want to be remembered?” and shoot it at Inspekta.

This initiates a longer sequence. After it ends, the Bizzyboys will be ready for you to launch them at the rift.

Grab all 5 Bizzyboys (not Capochin) and then go north to the rift. When you’re at the edge, simply launch the Bizzyboys in the general direction of the rift.

After the sequence that follows, you’re free to talk to the people who have gathered nearby.

Once you’re done talking to them, talk to Lumber Jacqueline to gain access to the lift that will end the game.
