Welcome to part 2 of our walkthrough for Grime II.
We’ve unlocked the Force meter, activated both Area Seals, and managed to reach the Temple of Hands – Halls Surrogate. Now we’ll figure out a way to exit the zone and make our way to the next area, Mudfalls, where we make some new allies.

Escaping the Temple of Hands
Exploring the Eastern Hall

From the Halls Surrogate in the Temple of Hands, start heading left. You’ll see another item on a hand statue up ahead. Pick it up to gain one extra charge for Homing Droplet.


There’s a path heading down. This leads to a dead end and a wall that can be broken from the other side.

Climb back out and head right. Talk to the Yearning Paint up ahead. Run through the dialogue, and it’ll ask for a weapon. Give it a weapon that you’re not using.

It’ll transform into an enemy. Take it down to gain your first Hunt Pigment.

Hunt Pigments in Grime II lets you progress through a unique skill tree with specific Traits. You can add Hunt Pigments to the available Traits in the Surrogate. The skill tree expands as you assimilate more Molds.

Take the ladder up, past the enemy. You’ll find an item on the platform on your left at the top. Pick it up to collect the Throwing Thumb weapon. Dash through the small opening in the wall on your right.

Drop down to the floor below on the right and take out the enemies here. Go through the breakable wall on the right and drop down once again.

After defeating the enemies here, go left. There’s another breakable wall here.

Continue forward, past the enemies, and you’ll soon drop down to a chamber with some more enemies. Take them down and head left. Drop down again.

Remember the breakable wall near the Surrogate on the lower path? You’re now on the other side of it. Break the wall to unlock a shortcut back to the Surrogate.

Continue along the path on the right to a room full of enemies. Take them down. You’ll be able to pick up a second Hunt Pigment here.
Exploring the Western Hall

Return to the ladder near the Surrogate and head up. Go left at the top and take down the enemies. Continue left to spot a ladder.

At the top, you’ll spot a path on the right that you can reach by jumping and pressing the dodge button. But we’re taking the left path first.

There’s a Curled Finger and a Plunging Finger here that you’ll have to take down. Continue forward once that’s done.

There’s a ladder below you and a path to the left. Let’s go down first.

At the bottom, take down the Crawling Finger. Then jump to the platform on your right. You can spot some Atriums on the next platform.

Attack the Spiked Finger, disguised as a spike, and then pick up the item.

Then, continue along the path on the left by jumping back. You’ll have to dash through an opening in the wall.

Keep going left. Take down the Spiked Fingers up ahead and pick up the Atriums they leave behind. Then grab the ledge and continue moving forward.

At the far left, you’ll see some platforms you can use to climb up. However, the wall on your left is hiding a secret. Attack it a couple of times to break it.

But there’s no point heading through, as you’ll just reach a spiked section that you can’t pass.

Go up the platforms and take down the enemies ahead. Then make your way to the top using the platforms.

You’ll have to fight some more enemies once you go up.

Go all the way to the top floor and head right to find a Prismatic Pearl next to some spikes, pick it up, and drop down to the right.

This brings you to the area where you would be if you hadn’t gone down the ladder. Take down the enemies here.

Go up and then right to spot a wall that’s breakable from the other side. The main path is behind you across the platform. But before we take it, head back to the ladder where you saw a path across the gap.
Heading to Mudfalls

Make sure you use the dodge button to get a bit more boost when you’re jumping, and you should be able to make it across.


Go right and dash through the opening in the wall. Continue forward and take down the enemies up ahead. You’ll be able to pick up a third Hunt Pigment here.

Once the enemies are defeated, head right and use the platforms to go up.

Go all the way to the left and climb up to the upper floor. There’s a Spiked Finger on your left.

Go all the way to the right to pick up some Fragments.


Start heading left now and jump across some platforms to reach the other side of the same wall you found earlier. Pick up the Homing Droplet on the ground and break the wall.

Continue forward and jump up to the platform above you. Take out the Spiked Finger on the ledge and continue forward.

There are some more enemies if you head left, but you don’t have to fight them. Jump to the platform above you and head right. You’ll spot a Bloodroot Splinter (upgrade material) here. Use Grasp to grab it.

Continue heading right till you reach a large wall. Attack it a few times to break it.

Keep moving to the right to enter Mudfalls.

As you move forward and drop down, you’ll spot a path heading downward. This leads to a Surrogate we’ll activate first.

Drop down two platforms to reach the bottom. There’s a Bloodroot Splinter here that you can grab. We’ve marked it in the image above.

Go left after picking it up and keep moving to find the Hidden Alcove Surrogate. Save your progress before moving on.

You can also find some Atriums if you head left from the Surrogate.
Exploring Mudfalls & Unlocking the Map

Return to the area where you found the upgrade material earlier. Continue right to encounter some Halfmade enemies. Take them down.

Keep going right and take down the enemies as you go. You’ll eventually drop down from a ledge to fight some more enemies.

After defeating the enemies, go right and through the breakable wall. You can spot some Atriums on a ledge above you.

Continue along the passage and take down the enemy that spawns ahead of you. Then jump to the platform above and head left to pick up the Atrium.

From here, you’ll want to go up. Use the ledges above you to ascend through the area.

At the top, you’ll see an NPC sitting on the floor. Talk to them. Run through the dialogue, and in the end, you’ll absorb them.

There’s an inactive elevator just past the NPC.

Run to the right and drop off the ledge. Make sure you grab the Bloodroot Splinter as you fall.


There’s a hidden wall on your left just below the first platform you fall to. Head inside for some Fragments.

Go back out and drop down to the lower floor. Pick up the quest item, Mudfalls Delivery, on the ground.

Keep going right to trigger a short cutscene where you see an NPC named Ver, trapped among a group of Halfmades. Once the dialogues end, they will use you as a distraction and run away.

Take down the enemies and continue on your way to the right.

There’s a breakable wall up ahead. Head through it and drop down.

Keep going right to find the first Seal of the zone and unlock the area map.
Catching up with Ver

Continue forward along the path to your right to spot a giant golden coin up ahead. Attack it a couple of times to break it.

Keep going right, and an NPC named Manzil will stop you. Run through the dialogue. Choose the option you want.

Eventually, Ver will jump into the conversation and vouch for you.

On Ver’s insistence, Manzil invites you to his house. Go right and enter the house through the door.

Head left inside the house to speak with Manzil. Accept his request, and he’ll ask you to deliver something to the Breathsmith in the Town of Kankan.

Drop down through the floor on his left and break the wall on your left at the bottom.

Go through and activate the Manzil’s House Surrogate.


Return to Manzil and climb up the ladder on his right. Jump to the right and talk to the two NPCs here.
They are the two Sib’s and will sell you some items related to Molds. After the conversation, they’ll hand you the Sharpening Weave.


Jump across to the left side after talking to them and take the door here to reach the blacksmith, Goldhead. You can buy or enhance weapons from them.

Go back in through the door and take the ladder to the top floor. Talk to Ver on the right.

Run through their dialogue, and they’ll tell you that you can reach Kankan either through the Underheads or the Faceless Mountains and that you should take the Faceless Mountains path.

Exit through the door behind Ver. Your next goal is to get to the Faceless Mountains.
Activating the Second Seal in Mudfalls

Once outside Manzil’s House, head right along the upper path.

You will have to fight some enemies up ahead.

Run all the way to the right and then head up. Continue going right.

You’ll spot an enemy standing on a fragile ledge. You can use Grasp to break the ledge and drop the enemy. Gravity will take care of the rest.

Go up and right again to fight some more enemies. Break the wall on the right and go through the passage.

You’ll spot an opening in the wall up ahead that you can dash through. But before we take that path, go up and left.


Continue forward, taking down enemies as you go. You’ll find a Prismatic Pearl on the left side.

Pick it up, then continue ascending using the platforms. The second Seal for the zone is at the top.
Reaching the Faceless Mountains Entrance

From here, it’s pretty much a straight sprint toward the Faceless Mountains. Go right and climb to the upper floor using the platform.

Go all the way to the left and climb up again.

Continue forward past the sign at the top and drop down to the pit on the right. You’ll be ambushed by a group of enemies here. Take them down. You’ll find some Atriums on the left in a small hidden area.

On the left, you’ll spot an enemy perched up on a fragile ledge. Use Grasp to drop the enemy into the spike below. Then jump to the platform and head up again.

You’ll spot a ladder as you ascend with an enemy on the platform just below it. Take out the enemy and go up the ladder.

This will take you to the entrance of the Faceless Mountains.

Continue heading right and drop down to the lower section. Talk to the Halfmade fused in the rock. You’ll end up absorbing it.

Keep going right, and you’ll spot the Halfmade Pit Surrogate up ahead. Save your progress.
