Growbot Walkthrough – Pond Part 5 (Water Dragon Maze)

Stuck in Growbot? This walkthrough will take you through bringing the Water Dragons to the center of the maze and then out of it.

Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Growbot! At all times, it is recommended that you explore the space station for yourself, talk to everyone you can, and use all the items you can on everything else. There’s no way to lose or die in this game! If you do get stuck, though – consult this guide, where we’ve laid down the steps for how to proceed with the story.

The Water Dragon Maze

Use your blue attack shield on the crystal to break the crystal. This will allow you to operate the maze controls for the Water Dragon Maze.

The idea in this maze is to get the water dragons from their chambers over to the center of the maze, and then set them free to the upper-left area of the maze.

What’s blocking you here is the arrangement of three rings of the maze, coded Red, Blue, and Yellow. You also have to make sure the Water Dragons won’t get sucked into the black holes in the maze.

Once you’re sure you’ve aligned a path for a Water Dragon to reach the center, you can pull the lever near the Red/Blue/Yellow buttons, and send the Water Dragon to the centre. If there is no clear path, nothing will happen.

Refer to the configurations below for each of the water dragons. You can amass all the dragons in the center before setting them free, as I did, or you can let them go one by one, which is tedious.

Refer to the configuration below for freeing the water dragons from the maze.

Once the water dragons are free, a cutscene will play, and Nara will return above water. Talk to the Captain and ask about what you can do to help, then ask how you can restore the station shields. This will get you your Heart Gem.

Return to the Head Gardener (present above the elevator area, as before). Give your Heart Gem to the Head Gardener.

Ask about how to activate your Growbloom, and then when Nara’s face opens up, tap on the Growbloom inside her.

Now that you’re ready, return to the elevator downstairs. On the blue panel next to the elevator, select ‘3’ and then tap the button below it.
