Halloween: The Game Walkthrough – Chapter One: The Road To Haddonfield

Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough of Chapter One: The Road to Haddonfield in Halloween: The Game.

Halloween: The Game features both single-player and multiplayer modes. In the single-player mode, you can only play as Michael Myers, and there are going to be five chapters and a prologue. However, in the multiplayer mode, you can play from the heroes’ side. For more information, check out the game’s Steam page.

We have already covered the prologue. So, here in this guide, we will provide you with the walkthrough of Chapter One: The Road to Haddonfield in Halloween: The Game.

Chapter One Challenges

Now, there are some challenges in Chapter One that you can complete, which will give you some rewards. To complete the first challenge, you have to kill everyone inside the Rabbit in Red. In order to complete the second challenge, you have to use the shove mechanic to stumble a biker off balance.

The third challenge tasks you with killing any target with the Broken Pool Cue. To complete the fourth challenge, you have to execute a biker with a context execution. This means that you have to execute a biker by slamming their head into the wall, which can be done pretty early in the chapter, before you even have to enter the Rabbit in Red.

The fifth challenge tasks you with killing any target with a thrown cleaver. You can find a cleaver in the kitchen inside Rabbit in Red and take out just one of the targets. To complete the last challenge, you have to kill three residents. For this, some exploration is required, but you will have to be stealthy when the target is in view.

As you start the first chapter in the game, a cutscene will commence, and Michael will reach a certain area. Then, you will get the first objective of the chapter.

Kill the Bikers

There are a couple of bikers ahead, so you now have to take them down. One of them throws a glass bottle, so you can pick that up by interacting with it. Pick up the broken glass and take down the enemy with the bat. Once you have done that, grab the second biker and take him close to a wall, then perform the head slam.

This will also complete the fourth challenge.

Enter the Rabbit in Red

Now that you have taken both of them down, it is time to enter the Rabbit in Red. So, interact with the door to open it. Once you have opened the door, you will see a few of the bikers and a bartender inside. Take everyone down, but be careful.

Note: Inside, you can find a sharp pool stick. Make sure to use that to kill at least one of the bikers to complete a challenge. Now, completing challenges is not a must, but it can still give you some items.

We recommend chasing the bartender inside the room she runs into. Then, do not attack her instantly. Take down the bikers that approach you first. We took down both bikers with the broken glass. Then, another biker will approach you, but he will have a gun, so immediately close the distance and take him out.

You can grab and see if the sign appears anywhere near for a head slam or a different execution. Once you have taken down everyone inside, a cutscene will commence. Do note that you can also flip switches inside to turn off the lights.

Note: Now, do note that there are a couple of residents inside the bar, so you would need to kill them too in order to complete the first challenge. There are going to be exactly two of them, and they will not leave the bar, so take your time. After you have taken down the bikers and the cutscene has commenced, do not leave immediately. Explore the bar completely and then leave. After exploring, you will find two people inside, so take them down, and there will also be a collectible. Open all doors to be sure that you have explored everything completely.

Chase the Final Biker

Once the cutscene ends, you will get the objective of chasing the final biker. Simply head out of the Rabbit in Red, and then another cutscene will commence. After the cutscene, head toward the final biker, and when you are close to him, another cutscene will commence, and your objective will be updated.

Now, you will have two objectives, and one of them is going to be optional. You can either explore the area, or you can simply track down and kill the mechanic.

Explore the Area (Optional)

Now, this area is pretty big, so you can explore the area to complete some challenges. However, that can take a lot of time, so you do not have to try and complete everything in a single attempt. You can retry the mission and complete the challenges by taking your time.

For example, there is a challenge that can only be completed in the bar, and when you exit the bar, it gets locked. So, you may have to try again for the challenges. You can also find some residents in the area, but do note that they are pretty quick to run away.

They also have weapons, so even if you grab them, they can stab you and then take that chance to run away. Also, if you are taking someone down near their house, they can lock the door of the house by going inside. So, you will have to be very careful.

At this point, there will be another mechanic you will have. You can press Q to enter a different mode, and you will be able to clear big distances with ease. You can also dash, but do note that there are cooldowns.

Track Down and Kill the Mechanic

Once you have explored the area, it is time to track down the mechanic. So, press Q and head to the marked location. As you reach there, you will notice a loud noise ping. That is an indication of the person there. So, approach the circle or the question mark, and you will find the mechanic.

Simply approach the mechanic, and then a cutscene will commence. With that, Chapter One, The Road to Haddonfield, will be over.
