Heartopia is a cozy multiplayer game, where you take a fresh start in a town full of lively characters. There are several hobbies in the game, but fishing is the first one you unlock. You also get to decorate your house and flaunt your fashion to your liking. Our first part of the walkthrough will teach you the basics to get started. Starting Out
Once the game starts, you will find Annie near you. You can talk to her to select a style for your house. You then need to talk to Bob to unlock crafting.
Go inside your house to settle in and open your boxes. Among those, you will find a workbench along with some materials, which will be added to your backpack.
You need to make your home more comfortable, so craft a Joinery Single Bed using the materials you obtained. Talk to Bob outside your house once you are done. He will also give you a pickaxe to collect materials yourself.
To collect Branches, you simply need to interact with any bush. There are Blueberry Bushes around, which will yield you three at a time.
To collect Timber, equip the pickaxe in your toolbox and chop trees. Similarly, use it to obtain stones by breaking rocks. Utilising these materials, craft the two new furniture recipes you learned. Once you are done, you will also get the recipe for a repair kit from Bob, which you can use to fix your tools.
How To Use A Repair Kit
You need five branches to make a repair kit. To use it, equip the pickaxe first from the toolbox, and then use the repair kit from your backpack. The repair kit will be on the ground, and if you go near it, your tool will get restored.
You will find Ka Ching in the city near the Suburban Lake. She will sell you a repair kit for 200 gold and a crafty repair kit for two wishing stars.
Joining D.G. Member’s Guild
Talk to Annie, and she will sign you up for the guild. You can see your D.G member levels here, and as you progress, you will continue to unlock new features. Talk to Annie, and you can end your day after this.
Vanya will be outside your house with a broken fishing rod, so you need to craft a repair kit. Once you help him out, you will get some contribution levels, which will improve your level in the guild.
You will get an expansion ticket, which you can use to unlock fishing by giving it to Vanya. More hobbies will be unlocked in Heartopia with progression.
How To Catch Fish
After equipping your rod, head to the water area. When you see a fish swimming, cast your rod into the water. If the fish bites, press the reel button to pull it towards you.
Notice the color of the string; you should stop reeling if it turns red or give a break when it turns yellow. You need to capture three fish to complete the quest. Talk to Vaniya again, shortly after Annie will call you and ask you to visit the town centre.
How to Open The Clothes Shop
You will help set up the clothing store first in Heartopia. Go to the central area of town by following the quest marker. A cat will take a liking to you and drop a gift. After which, you will be led to the clothing store.
In the clothing store, return the poster back to Dorothee, and help her sort out the boxes. This will open the clothes shop, and you can purchase new outfits here. Head to the fitting room to try on any new clothes. This will also unlock a feature which lets you change your outfit anywhere else.
