High On Life 2 – Kill Finance Wiz James Stevenson Walkthrough

High on Life 2

The third bounty in High on Life 2 is the mysterious Wiz James Stevenson, whose face no one has ever seen, but you’re dead set on taking him down.

He thinks he’s untouchable in his penthouse in Circuit Arcadia, but he has no idea that a fancy penthouse won’t stop you from hitting Rhea Pharma where it hurts.

Note
This is part of our High On Life 2 – Walkthrough Hub, so if you want more content, guides or walkthrough about the game be sure to check it out.

Head To The Penthouse

After you accept the bounty and go to Circuit Arcadia, you need to make your way to the hotel located to the northwest. You can recognize the building by its fancy, golden exterior.

When you go inside, you will be stopped by security. Since you are not a tenant here, you cannot go in, which means you need to get creative to reach the penthouse.

Find An Alternative Way To The Penthouse

Head outside the building, and you will see a guy stuck under a mattress. That’s actually the start of the alternative path you can take to the penthouse.

There is also a truck nearby, so you need to use Travis’ Glob Shot to launch the truck high, then use the mattress to bounce onto it and make it to the other side.

From here, you need to keep following the path until you reach the rooftop gardens. Along the way, you will hear more info about the target from Lizzie.

Navigate The Rooftop Gardens

When you reach the first garden room, you will need to jump to the upper level and hit the button there. This will activate the sprinkler, which you can use to skateboard to the other side.

Go to the next room and activate another sprinkler to cross. Start by shooting the glowing plant bulb to the side to create a platform, then climb it.

From here, you will see a fan. Use Sweezy’s time bubble to stop it from moving and jump through it. This will take you to the room where the sprinkler control is available. Turn it on and use the sprinkler to progress forward.

This path will lead you to a room with multiple plant bulbs that you can use to create platforms in order to climb up. Do so, then exit the greenhouse to keep working your way to the top.

Eventually, you will reach another garden where your path is blocked. Just like before, you need to activate the sprinkler to cross.

Shoot the plant bulb on the top to unlock the door where the sprinkler controller is, then activate it. On the other side, you will find a lugblob that you can inflate using Sweezy’s time bubble and climb up.

High on Life 2

Here, you will find a fan, and you can use Sweezy’s time bubble again to stop it so you can pass through.

From here, you will be able to climb up to the same level where the sprinkler is. Then you can use the sprinkler and the plant bulb to reach the next room.

This is the last room before you reach the penthouse, and, yes, just as you expected, you need a couple more sprinklers to reach the other side.

Start by using the time bubble on the fan to the right side to get the lugblob out from there. Use it just outside and inflate it to reach the room on top.

Inside this room, you will find a plant bulb that you can shoot to reveal the main junction downstairs, which you will need.

The last thing you need to do is connect the junction with the amp until it overloads the door and opens it. This will give you access to the control panel, which will allow you to unlock both sprinklers.

With these two sprinklers, you will be able to use them and skate on them to reach the penthouse.

Search The Penthouse

Once you reach the penthouse, you won’t find James here; it will be empty. You are left to investigate the area for any clues about where he might be.

If you use your scanner, you will notice that some paintings are highlighted. These are your clues.

Start by going through the painting to the left. This will take you to a bathroom area where you can find a book to pick up. Exit through the painting to return to the penthouse.

Now there is a second painting pointing to the right. This one will take you to what seems like a very personal room. On the table here, you will find another book to pick up.

While it might be disgusting, just take it and exit the painting as quickly as possible.

With both books in hand, head to the bookshelf and place both books inside. This will reveal a secret painting that you can pass through.

Head To Prismeria

The secret painting seems to send you to a whole other world that looks like a video game, which almost makes you forget you are already in a video game. Confusing? Yeah, just roll with it.

In this pixelated N64-style world, you need to progress forward and try to find clues about your target. Cross the bridge and follow the path.

Eventually, you will reach a room with skeleton-like enemies harassing a strange being. He asks for your help, so you do your best and defeat the enemies.

After you defeat all the enemies, approach the stranger and talk to him. During the conversation, he will point you toward the Blue Wizard, who probably knows where your target is.

From here, just progress through rooms until you reach the river area.

Cross The River

Now you are in a river area and need to make it to the other side. While there are some moving platforms you can use to cross, they move too fast.

Once again, Sweezy is your best pal, as you can use her time bubble to slow them down and cross safely. You can try to cross without using the time bubble, but it’s not recommended.

Once you reach the other side, pick up the lugblob, inflate it, and jump to the upper level. From here, you need to make it to the other side and climb the waterfall.

You will see the same red platforms, only this time they are moving vertically. Use the time bubble to slow them down and use them to cross.

On the other side, you will find some enemies that you need to defeat. From here, the path is pretty much straightforward as you climb the waterfall. Eventually, you reach the entrance to the town.

Enter The Town

At the gate, you will be stopped by two guards who ask you questions about the mysterious floating guy with you. Somehow, they recognize him as the bad guy.

His name is Apples, and since we are pursuing the Blue Wizard, we don’t really care about Apples. We just want to get in. So we picked the Sweezy answer as “F that guy,” and the guards seem pleased with the answer.

The guards open the gate for you but kick Apples away. Things are working in your favor. Enter the town and follow the objective marker.

You need to skate through the town and then use the platforms on the river to keep progressing forward. Eventually, you will reach a locked gate within the river. Use Travis’ ability on the green arrow to the left to open it.

After this, the guards will tell you that they are hosting a Gatlian execution, but the door is locked. You need to open it.

In the courtyard, you will find a couple of junctions and some amplifiers that you can link together to overload the gate and open it.

One of the amps will be hidden under some blocks after you take the stairs. That’s the important one you need to connect to the gate.

After you link everything and unlock the gate, the guard will start explaining the execution process and all of that. Here, you can pick any dialogue option, and it won’t change anything except how the guard reacts.

Convince The Crowd To Not Execute The Gatlian

You’re inside, and you can see the crowd is hyped about the execution of this poor Gatlian. You decide to interfere and convince them that this is not the right decision, but you have four minutes to do so.

If you look around, you will see three main people that you can interact with, each of them a leader you can have a discussion with and hopefully convince to stand down.

This means that you need to pick certain dialogue options in order for this to succeed. We took the chance to try all of them, and here is the list of the correct options that you need to pick.

Character Dialogue
The blue alien in front of the stage We’re here to stop it
They’re a Gatlian, like me
The green alien near the middle What about the court?
The pink alien standing on a table I love it very much
You meant it

These answers will convince each of the three leaders that the execution is not the right choice, and the crowd will disperse.

Now, approach the execution table and interact with the lever there to free the Gatlian. After you pick him up, you will see a hologram of an old wizard talking.

He will introduce himself as the Blue Wizard, James Stevenson, the target you’ve been looking for. It seems he and Bowie are familiar with each other and had some business problems together.

The Wiz will send some enemies your way, and you will need to defeat all of them before progressing.

Head To The Blue Wizard Castle

Now you know who your target is and where he is, so you need to make your way to him. Exit the execution area and follow the main path using your scanner.

You will reach a door with flames blocking the path. This is where you need to use Bowie’s ability, Soul Hole, to shoot the eye. This will cause the barrels of water to fall and extinguish the flames, opening the path for you.

From here, the path is pretty much straightforward. Eventually, you will be able to spot the Blue Wizard’s castle from a distance as you work your way up.

However, there will be huge boulders rolling down the path, and you need to avoid them. You can use the separate platforms on the right and left sides to make it to the gate.

Once you reach the gate, you will need to use Bowie’s ability to shoot the eye above the gate to close it so no more boulders will come out.

From here, just go to the entrance on the right, and you will be at the entrance of the Blue Wizard’s castle.

Answer The Blue Wizard Questions

As you approach the castle entrance, the hologram will show up and ask if you two can collaborate by answering some questions.

The alternative way will require you to complete Creature’s puzzle, but for a trophy, we will be answering all his questions correctly.

A hologram screen with questions and answers will appear in front of you, and you need to shoot the correct answers. To be precise, make sure you use Bowie and aim carefully so you won’t miss.

After you answer all the questions correctly, the Blue Wizard will be impressed by your knowledge, and he will lower the bridge so you can access the castle.

Enter The Castle

Enter the castle and sit in the waiting area while listening to his speech on the TV. Random words from a rich man, but you have to sit through it.

After the speech is complete, the door will be unlocked, and you will be able to see the Blue Wizard sitting at a desk at the end of the room.

He’s pretty vulnerable here, and you might think you can shoot him right away. When you try, it will not go through. This is because there is a force field protecting him, and you can’t shoot through it.

You need to use Bowie’s ability to shoot the weak point and trigger the boss fight. It’s time to put an end to this rich Wiz and free the people of Prismeria, and the real world, from him.

Defeat The Finance Wiz James Stevenson

Just like all other main bounty targets you are hunting, this is not your usual boss fight. This is because the actual James is hiding inside the large blue head, so you need to find a way to get him to show up.

Once again, Bowie’s ability comes in clutch to help you with this. On the big head’s hands, you will notice rocks, and you need to shoot them.

This will make the head disappear for a brief moment, and you will be able to shoot the actual wizard inside. This is basically the whole fight.

Wiz James Stevenson Attacks

Right from the start, James Stevenson can raise his hand and summon a pack of ghouls and cherubs to swarm you.

It feels overwhelming at first, but taking them out helps since they drop shield capsules that you are definitely going to need.

He will also turn his hand toward the ground and send a shockwave racing across the floor. You can hop over it or hide behind one of the pillars, and later in the fight he even sends shockwaves through the air to catch you off guard.

As mentioned before, at some points during the fight, he covers his hand in stone and reaches out to punch you.

You need to shoot each finger to break the rock apart piece by piece. Once the stone is fully destroyed, he becomes vulnerable for a short time, similar to breaking a sigil, so make sure you punish him there.

He can also fire triangle forcefields from his hands, alternating between them to keep you guessing.

Sometimes he chains several triangles together from one hand before switching to the other, forcing you to constantly move and adjust.

Out of nowhere, he might pull out finger guns and shoot those cool S-shaped projectiles at you. They are flashy and easy to dodge.

One of his biggest attacks is when he charges a massive yellow ball near the center of the arena. The only safe move here is to hide behind a pillar until the explosion goes off.

Finally, he can fling a large sigil forcefield straight at you. Instead of avoiding it completely, you actually need to jump through the center to stay safe.

Head Back To The Real World

After you defeat James Stevenson, you will need to find a way to get outside of Prismeria and back to the real world. At the main door, you will find the people of the town all gathered.

You inform them that you finally killed the Blue Wizard, and they get mad.

All of a sudden, Apples comes out of nowhere and tries to blame it on him. You disagree with his statement because you are so proud you got him.

The door will close, and you will still need to get out of here. On the other side of the room, you will be able to see a painting that you can go through, and hopefully, it will take you back to the real world.

As soon as you try to approach it, Gene and the others in the painting burst out like they have been waiting all day for this moment.

The whole thing slams straight into you, smacking your head hard enough to make you reconsider every life choice that led here.

Of course, no bounty is ever truly complete unless you dramatically fail, collapse in a heap, or get absolutely wrecked and lose consciousness, only to wake up in your Quarters like this was just another totally normal Tuesday.

Mission Accomplished

Wiz James Stevenson is dead, and you can cross that bounty off the board and move on to hunt your next target.
