If you thought the first game was a fever dream, High on Life 2 is the full-blown breakdown we’ve all been waiting for. The foul-mouthed guns are back and they’re bringing all the chaos with them.
You might have saved the planet from the G3, but the rest of the galaxy is still a total wreck and it’s screaming for your help.
A new threat is waiting for you, packed with fresh locations to explore and the kind of twisted humor only this universe delivers. So lay back and consider this walkthrough your roadmap through the carnage.

What Is Going On?

The game starts with you falling from the sky into a city where people are being attacked by a giant monster as you’re holding Sweezy, your talking gun, in your hand.

All of a sudden, you switch places and find yourself on a talk show with Jimmy. You take a seat to start the interview when, again, you find yourself meeting fans, and a little kid asks you to draw a picture of your face.
You will get a bunch of crayons, and you can actually draw your facial features and all of that. This is not necessarily a character customization thing, but later in the game, you might see your drawing elsewhere, no spoilers.

The kid will be happy, and then you will switch places again back to the interviewer. He will ask you about saving so many lives and defeating bad guys, since you’re the hero, obviously, and he’s curious what your favorite part about it is.

You’ll have three choices to pick from, and these are
- Sweezy: The Fame
- Knifey: The Killing
- Gus: Helping the Galaxy
You can pick any choice you find appealing, as this only changes the dialogue and which one of your weapons will answer and doesn’t have any direct effect on the story.
Fight The Krogaiger?

After you answer, you will change places once again and find yourself fighting the giant monster from earlier. It’s called Krogaiger. This is the perfect chance to get familiar with the game’s controls.
As the monster is about to kick you with his feet, once again, many switches later, you find yourself in a spaceship with Gene. He wants you to complete an obstacle course.
Complete The Obstacle Course?

This is a perfect way for you to get familiar with movement and platforming in the game. You will need to jump and sprint around the obstacle course elements.
When you’re about to use your hook to reach the other side, you will be back fighting Krogaiger.
The Krogaiger? Again?

The obstacle course will now take place here, where you need to jump between floating police cars, all while Krogaiger walks beside you.
Don’t worry about shooting it; you just need to make it to the other side. When you do, you will be sent back to Gene’s ship, as he asks you to drink an energy drink called Bounty Juice.
Welcome Back Gus!

In the next sequence, you will get to try your second gun, Gus, which acts like a shotgun.
You will need to blast the product using Gus’s primary fire. Next, you need to suck them up using his alternate fire.
Pick Your Date?

It seems you have a flower, and you need to pick one lover to give it to. In front of you, there will be three people you can choose from.
We went ahead and picked Blengus, because he’s hot, as the announcer said, so we went with it. We don’t think this choice has any impact at all, so feel free to pick your date.
Family Dinner?

The next scene will show you sitting at a family dinner with Blengus, your date, and what seems to be your parents. We’re not sure, but it looks like they are fighting.

You interact with the mom and the father separately, and then you go meet up with your sister Lizzie. As you two catch up, you find yourself at the dining table with Blengus, who is breaking up with you now.
Welcome Back Knifey!

Anyhow, another switch of places, and this time you have Knifey back in your hand. You will get a bunch of people that you need to quack, and by quack, we mean kill.
You need to stab or slash all these people, as they are your bounty. There are many people to deal with, so just keep hitting that button.
Fight The Krogaiger? For Real This Time?

With you getting rid of all the bounty using Knifey, Krogaiger is back but has only a small portion of his health now. You need to fight him this time for real, hopefully.
Use Sweezy’s primary fire to attack his mouth, and don’t worry about ammo because there is none, of course. Eventually, you need to use her alternate fire, which is a charged shot that big piece.

With this, you will be able to kill the giant monster, once and for all, hopefully. This seems to bring you back to the TV show, but actually, all of that was just you watching it on TV; the game got you.
You shut down the TV and make your way outside the house, but actually, it’s not the outside of the house;it’s a huge room that looks like a museum of some kind.
Bounty Hunter Museum

As you walk inside the museum, Gene contacts you and asks you to go out for dinner and have fun, because it’s been all too quiet lately.
But first, you need to take the crew with you, and by the crew, he means you need to pick up your weapons.

You can still interact with all the items and objects on display inside the museum. This will play a recording that explains or provides some backstory about them, but that’s only if you’re into this bored stuff, you know.
After picking up your guns, Sweezy, Knifey, and Gus, head back inside the house, and you will find Gene watching the news on TV. It seems that your sister, Lizzie, is in trouble and has a bounty on her.

This is your action call, so you need to go and head to the rescue. Interact with the device to your left and pick the bounty Lizzie there. This will open a portal that takes you to a proximity location of her.
Find And Rescue Lizzie

This portal will take you to the Circuit Arcadia Zoo, where Lizzie seems to have passed by, and you need to go inside. Progress forward, and you will find the entrance blocked by guards.
If you try to bypass them, the guards will just push you away. Sweezy is here to help, as she can launch a time bubble that slows down anyone who is inside.

Use the bubble on the humans and go through the entrance. Follow the path here, and you will see an expulsion from the Aviary. This seems to be Lizzie, so you need to make your way there.
Along the way, you will be stopped by some enemies, and you need to defeat them. This is where your talking guns come in, and it’s perfect to adapt to the shooting mechanic in the game.

Eventually, you will reach a high ledge that you can access by jumping or another method. Gene asks you to find a Lugblob nearby because he sees the slime close, so there just might be one.
To the left, you will find one, and you can pick it up and put it down. Then you need to use Sweezy’s Time Bubble to inflate it. In this inflated state, you will be able to jump the ledge and progress forward.

More enemies will be on your way, and you need to defeat them. Keep making your way down until you reach the Aviary.
Unfortunately, the entrance to the Aviary is blocked by the explosion, and you need to find an alternative way to get inside.
Find A Way To The Aviary

If you look to your left, you will find a ledge that you can use your hook to climb up to. From here, you will be able to get inside the Aviary.

Inside, Lizzie will be in the middle talking with her gun, so you approach and talk to her. As you talk to Lizzie, she constantly asks you to leave her and says she can handle things alone.
The bounty hunters come in and surround you. Of course, they recognize you as the G3-Killer, the number one bounty hunter.
Now, here is where you can trigger a secret ending and get the credits rolling. You have a choice, and you can actually shoot Lizzie while the other bounty hunters are watching.

If you do, the credits will roll immediately, and you will get the Good Ending trophy, but that’s just a little easter egg; you’ll know why by the end of the game.
What you are actually supposed to do here is kill the other bounty hunters to save Lizzie. Things will only go south from here. More enemies will come, and you need to hold your ground and kill all of them.
Once you deal with all the hunters, Lizzie will run away, but you will be jumped by another bounty hunter called Reptical.

He taunts you by saying that killing another bounty hunter is breaking the code and that means everyone will be on you.
During this conversation, Lizzie seems to come back and shoots Reptical in the head. She says that you two are even now, she doesn’t need your help, and runs away again.
At the body of Reptical, you see a skateboard that you pick up, and this is where the fun begins. You will get a video of a real-life person explaining how to ride a skateboard, very funny.

Defeat Reptical

It seems that Reptical has not died, and now he is ready to fight you. This will begin the boss fight.
Reptical likes to keep moving while skating around the arena and firing a steady barrage of projectiles at you.
He sprays shots in your direction as he circles, so the safest option is to stay mobile or slide behind cover whenever you see him line up an attack.

He will sometimes mix this up by lobbing grenades through the air. These explosions have a small radius, which makes them easier to avoid if you keep moving.
If you stay too close, Reptical can snap back with a quick tail whip. He swings it in a short arc to push you away. Step back as soon as you see his body twist, then move in again once the swipe finishes.

Reptical can also leap straight toward you to knock you back. The jump is direct and easy to read, so dodge to the side when he leaves the ground and look for a brief chance to counter after he lands.

When his health drops to around a third, Reptical activates poison gas across the Aviary. The cloud spreads around the arena and limits your safe space.

Do your best to stay clear of the gas, and if you get forced into the center, use your skateboard to ride out quickly before regrouping.
Find A Way To The Human Exhibit

After you defeat Reptical, you need to get out of there and progress forward. You need to make your way to the Human Exhibit, but of course, you will find the door closed.
You will find a Lugblob inside a case. Attack it, and it will get out. Now pick it up and put it on the panel, and you will open the door to the Human Exhibit.

Progress forward, and you will see a human pet saying that he saw Lizzie going deeper inside, so you need to follow the traces. But, of course, the door will be locked.

Behind the human pet, you will find another Lugblob on top, and this time you need to use Gus’s alternate fire to suck it so it will drop down. Pick it up and put it on the panel to the left of the door so you can unlock it.

Exit the Human Exhibit and make it to the end of this path. Here, you will need to fight numerous waves of enemies, so make sure you are prepared.
After you deal with all the enemies here, you can skateboard on the mushroom head and get a jump boost that will launch you to the other side.
Explore The Secret Lab

Of course, the main door is closed, and you need to find another way in. Use the passage to the right, but you will find an old guard stopping you. Well, you can either wait and hear his never-ending speech or just shoot him.
Of course, we shot him, I mean we are outlaws now, right. Anyways, grab the keycard from his body and use it to unlock the back door.

Go inside and activate the elevator that will take you down. Midway through, the elevator will break and continue deeper to reach a secret lab that is underground.

Lizzie seems to be here, and you need to explore this location to find her. This won’t take you a lot, and you will find her in the next room waiting.

She will finally explain what’s been on her mind and ask you to take a look for yourself at how she was saying she needs to save humanity.
From the videos inside the lab, you will realize that they want to use and transform humans into tablet drugs. That is not all, in the next room you will see even worse.

They aim to legalize the farming of humans to produce a large amount of Humanzapro, and this was supposed to involve investors to speed up this process. Exit the projector room, and you will find security waiting for you.

You need to kill every single one of them since they are also part of this horrible process. After you do that, Reptical will crash in and fight you again.

This time around, you only need to fight him for a short while until he realizes that you guys are helping and not fighting. But oh boy, the system has declared that self-destruction will happen, and you have only three minutes to escape.
Escape!!!

The only way forward is ahead, and you need to put your skateboarding skills to use because you will be doing a lot of it. As you escape, you need to hit the mechanics to remove the barriers ahead of you.
Gene will start talking and freaking out as he worries you won’t make it, but of course, we all know you will, and just in time.

As you get out of the cave system, your suit will fully override, and you will just collapse. Thankfully, your friends are there to help you. Lizzie and the others will bring you back to the main ship, and this is where everything will begin.
