Homura Hime Walkthrough Part Three: The Flower and Corpse Princess

Homura Hime The Corpse Princess

Taking down Agasa has helped in reducing the disappearances of people in Homura Hime, but the main threats to the world still live. Continuing the story, the next chapters are crucial for Homura as she becomes a valuable target of the archdemons.

In this guide, I will provide an area-by-area guide for Homura Hime’s chapter two: The Flower and Corpse Princess, and where to find important items.

Mahire Shrine – Accepting The Mission

Talking to The Fading Soul.

After giving Agasa’s soul to Kushinada at the shrine, she will provide you with a new Blessed Shot named Desire Circles; it shoots lasers. With the Konpeito, you can purchase a combo of your choice from her shop and test it out in the field.

Now, head towards the giant torii gate and turn right to find the fading soul. Give it the 100 white flowers you found in the previous chapter and retrieve your reward. Exit through the torii gate to begin chapter two.

Unknown – Hidden Castle

The Elevator Lever.

Homura’s next target resides in Tanka Castle, but both Ann and she are confused after entering the first area. Talk to the supporter before you to understand the situation; they will explain about the broken teleporter. The supporter will give you a Glowing Stone and ask you to find an elevator lever so they can create a path to the castle.

Head inside the door to find a demon. Defeat it, then enter the garden on the right to talk with the fungal flowers. They will mark the lever, then pick it up and return to the supporter to finally access the elevator.

Tanka Castle – Entrance

Entering Tanka Castle.

After reaching Tanka Castle’s entrance, climb the staircase before you to gaze upon the castle. Follow the path to the ground to initiate two waves of demons. Prioritize the birds in the battle to avoid their unparryable attacks while defeating the ground forces.

Climb up the platform to find a shikigami and follow it to the rooftop by interacting with a Surge Sigil nearby. Drop down from the roof to find a Konpeito Gumi to your left and the castle’s entrance to your right. Make sure to defeat the Gumi to receive a handful of Konpeito before entering Tanka Castle.

Tanka Castle – Ninomaru Palace

The Ninomaru Palace in Tanka Castle.

Enter the castle through the gate and break all the boxes you can find. Follow the hallway and visit the room to your right for an optional encounter. Completing them rewards you with a treasure box with Konpeito inside. Exit and continue along the hallway to find a Surge Sigil, which will allow you to jump across the broken staircase.

Move forward from the second floor to find another room with numerous enemies and a path-obstructing vine inside. Defeat them and use Bless Shots on the vine to open the way. Now, turn right and use Bless Shots on the next vine, and enter the room nearby to find another Konpeito Gumi, which will be protected by three exploding demons.

Three Exploding Demons Encounter.

Head outside the room and turn right to find a red treasure box containing one Blessed Crystal. To get the treasure box, use the two grappling points on vines above, then jump down and dash near a laser-shooting flower. Defeat it and turn right to access the treasure box.

From here, look left and break the vine above to access a pathway to a Senbei. By collecting them, you can unlock new combos at Kushinada’s shop. Collecting the Senbei can be a bit tricky. To do so, drop into the waters to reset your location and reach the second floor with the grappling points.

The Vines in Water.

Stand on edge, and jump across the windows one by one to reach a dead end. There, you will find the Senbei. Now, return to the first floor and enter the objective-marked room to find another hallway lined with poison traps; wait, then cross them to avoid damage.

Move through the hallway and explore any room that you can find, and enter the final room to break the seal on the second floor. Before following the Shikigami, turn around to find another red treasure box containing a Life Crystal. Now, follow the objective to initiate a big encounter with three laser flowers and numerous demons.

The Three Laser Flowers.

One of them will be a giant demon with an executable domain; look out for the grey one. To efficiently get through the encounter, beat the flowers first, then focus on the others. Take down the normal demons and later focus on the grey demon to ensure proper focus and use Purifying Flourish to defeat it.

Before you exit the room, Ann notices a demon who follows her and Homura in the castle. However, she runs away before they can catch her.

Tanka Castle – Banka Gardens

The Sinking Banka Gardens.

While trying to chase the demon, you will end up in the Banka Gardens and lose its track. Before being able to explore the area, turn right and use Blessed Shots at the vine above the water wheel. Doing so will allow a demon to drain the water from the grounds.

Go through the garden and read the note on your left. The flowers that cover the path forward can’t be defeated, so interact with the small flower near that note to put them to sleep. However, this only puts the blue flowers to sleep and won’t open a path to the red treasure box to your right.

The Flower Covered Path.
Note: The big flowers are correspondant to the small flower colors.

To access it, cross the bridge and interact with the small golden flower before Nurikabe. Turn around and turn left to access the red treasure box containing Blessed Crystal. If you use the Red Flower in the middle area of the bridge, it opens a path to the grounds, with numerous boxes you can break for health points and Konpeito.

Now, talk to Nurikabe, and he will ask you to get his lost shoes for him. Return to the ground with boxes to fight the demon and retrieve its lost shoes from them. Talk to Nurikabe and give the shoes you found to open the path to the castle’s gate.

Hua Ling: The Flower Demon Boss Fight

Hua Ling.

In the castle’s lower area, a vast flower field lies protected by Hua Ling, the Flower Demon who loves to dance. This fight doesn’t require any weapon attacks and completely relies on Blessed Shots to break Hua Ling’s Miasma Shield.

Dodge and parry its attacks while shooting Blessed Shots on the shield. As soon as the shield breaks, Hua Ling will retreat.

Tanka Castle – Sannomaru Palace

After defeating Hua Ling, move forward to find a disjointed platform with a red treasure box inside. Climb the staircase on your left, then jump down to access the box to increase Homura’s maximum health. Fall down to return to the spawn point.

Now, turn left again and use the grappling point above to reach the top floors. Kushinada will be there, and you can purchase combos from her if you would like. Continue moving forward to initiate another encounter, including a demon with a domain.

Demon With a Domain.

Defeat them and then exit the staircase to follow the hallway. Once you destroy the vine, the peeping demon appears and runs away; return to the previous room, beat another encounter, and break the vine’s weak point again.

Follow the peeping demon and be prepared for a time-sensitive section, as the water level will rise. Keep running forward and complete the platforming sections to reach a door to the balcony. A three-wave encounter will begin, and after defeating all demons, Homura will confront the peeping demon.

Ling Ling – The Peeping Demon.

However, she tries to run away to the demonic realm, but in the nick of time, Homura and Ann manage to follow her through the gate.

Demonic Realm – Silent Seas

Boundary Cube.

This part of the Demonic Realm is covered in water; touching it resets your location. Use the broken platforms to move forward, and break any Boundary Cube you can find to spawn new platforms.

The rest of this section is straightforward: Spawn platforms and move along with them to reach the top of the castle. You will find a trial to catch one of Kushinada’s heads again, which is optional, but doing so will reward you with a Konpeito treasure box.

Kushinada’s Head.

Continue with the platforming until you reach the top, then encounter. Prioritize the flying demons that throw unparryable bombs, and then defeat the demon with the domain. After this encounter, the castle will begin to sink; head inside and use the rail to safely descend.

Descending Through The Railing.

Inside, you’re safe, but still have to reach the castle’s main keep. Exit through the gate on the above floors to visit the bridge and finally confront the Corpse and Flower Princess.

Corpse and Flower Princess Boss Fight

The Corpse Princess in Homura Hime.

Ling Ling, the peeping demon, reveals herself to be the actual Corpse Princess Homura and Ann have been planning to hunt down. The fight begins, and she mainly relies on her parryable and bullet hell attack combinations. Keep up the momentum and watch out for the attack windows to sneak in your combos.

Once you reach a certain health threshold, the camera angle shifts to top-down, and this fight becomes a pure bullet hell experience. Dodge the incoming orbs and spam Blessed Shots on Ling Ling’s Miasmic Shield to stop it.

Bullet Hell Attacks.

Hua Ling will step in during the fight to assist Ling Ling, and you will have to go one-on-two against them. But similar to the previous fight with Hua Ling, you only have to break their Miasmic Shield to end the battle and execute them both.

Exorcising The Corpse Princess.

This concludes my third walkthrough for Homura Hime.
