Honeycomb: The World Beyond features Henessy, a bioengineer. She’s looking for a cure on Sota7 that could heal Earth’s ecological collapse. Without any outside help, Henessy is left with her own wits and the past left behind by the inhabitants of Sota7 to rely on. However, to get her answers, she’ll need to find a gate and open it as you approach the climax.

Finding The Gate
After putting at least four Memory Cores in the facility on the hill, Henessy will learn about a Gate. You’ll have to find this gate.
The waypoint shows an exceptionally large area to the east, and the only hint from the journal is that you need to look for something that appears human-made to show that you’re close to the area.

To reach the gate, you’ll have to head to the northeastern part of Sota7. Take the narrow path that leads to the northern region and go northeast from there.
You’ll have to walk past the toxic lake where you found one of the Memory Cores. From there, keep going southeast.

Here, you’ll find a wooden bridge. This is the sign that you’re very close to the gate. The gate will be just above in the mountains.
However, when you approach the gate, it will require a key. Scan the pedestal by the gate, and the details of the key will be revealed. The key is similar to the strange human-made figurine that you found before obtaining the first Memory Core. Note that you’ll need a guide and a special plant alongside the key to open the gate. This will also initiate the Long Long Ago quest.

The Key
To craft the key, you’ll need a Serum and some Resin. Resin can be obtained from Amber Tree. For Silicone, you’ll need Silica and Viscous Secretion.
Silica deposits are usually around the beaches. You can obtain Viscous Secretion from Zuma nests. It will be on the ground in the area.

Once you have all the resources, head to a Fabricator to craft the Nora Key. You can then go to the Gate to place the key, but it’s best to make sure you’ve completed other quests. The key alone isn’t enough to open the gate.

The Special Plant (The Final Stage Quest)
Henessy is on Sota7 to find a cure for Earth’s ecological collapse, and the answer lies in the plants. Since the start, the game has been giving you quests to merge some plants to produce hybrids.
It starts with Ebony Linter and Ivory Linter, which results in a hybrid called Carmine Linter. Note that you have to take out the seeds of these fruits and plant them in a growbed inside a multiroom.

To breed a hybrid, place an empty growbed and put only two seeds in it that you want to use to produce the hybrid.
As days go by, the bees will work their magic, and a hybrid plant will start growing next to the two parents in the growbed.

After harvesting Carmine Linter and obtaining its seeds, you’ll have to find Synevir Puggie. It can be found in the southeast region.
Bring it back home. Now, you’ll have to plant Carmine Linter seed in the same growbed where you’ve planted the Synevir Puggie seed. This will result in a Caloris plant.

Once you’ve got Caloris, you’ll need to find an Ice Bonebell. This plant is super easy to find and can also be found near the landing pod area.
While you wait for the hybrid to grow, you’ll have to find another pair of plants to experiment with.

The next pair requires you to find Amantus, which can only be found in the garden inside the facility on the hill. You’ll have to gather all five Memory Cores to unlock the garden inside the facility.

Take Amantus, and you’ll have to find the Bonebell Inferno. Bonebell Inferno is fairly rare, but you can find it in the northeast regions.
Place the Amantus seed in a growbed alongside the Bonebell Inferno seed. This will result in a hybrid plant called Amacura.

The hybrid of Ice Bonebell and Caloris will result in Gemnox. Now, you have to place Gemnox seed and Amacura seed inside the same growbed to produce a new hybrid.
You’ll then obtain Aetheris, a fruit that is perfect for restoring Earth’s ecological system. However, you’ll have to extract its seed first.

Once you’ve got the seed of Aetheris, you’ll complete the Final Stage quest. You can then head to the gate alongside the guide and use the key to open it.

The Guide
Judging from what information is available, it’s clear that there’s a labyrinth beyond the gate. The IVS cannot map the areas beyond the landing pod’s range, so you’ll have to find a local guide that can help you navigate the labyrinth.
According to the IVS, you can breed a perfect local guide by using Amber Lonebids and Azurite Lonebids. Both of these animals are not hostile, so you can become their friend easily.

Amber Lonebids are found to the south of the landing pod, while Azurite Lonebid nests are all over the northern regions.
If you’ve completed the quest to tame and breed Camillas, you’ll be able to complete this quest quite easily.

First, you’ll need the field cam. You should already have one in your inventory after doing the Camilla quest in the early game, but if not, you can craft it at the Fabricator.
Take the field camera and place it in front of any lonebid nest. After some time, you’ll get the notification that the field cam has recorded the habitat data. Go and pick up the field camera. You can then use the Drone Builder to build an artificial habitat for the Lonebids that you’re going to tame.

To tame a lonebid and to make it trust you, you’ll have to craft plenty of Lonebid Snacks. You can make Lonebid Snacks by combining Ice Bonebells with Ivory Linter in a Multicooker. Ice Bonebells are everywhere, while you can find the Ivory Linter in the southwestern areas, where you found the first Memory Core.
You’ll need at least 20 Lonebid snacks to tame both Lonebids. Once you have the snacks, go and find the Lonebid in their habitats.

Approach the Lonebid and feed it the Lonebid Snack repeatedly. You should feed them at least ten snacks each, and pet them until they trust you enough to follow you.
Once they’re following you, you can bring both of the Lonebids to the artificial Lonebid habitat one by one. Make sure both Lonebids are not of the same gender. If you’ve got a male Azurite Lonebid, you’ll need a female Amber Lonebid, and vice versa.

Once both Lonebids are added to the artificial Lonebid nest, you’ll have to craft two Lonebid Pheromones. The Lonebids will only breed if you’ve used the Pheromones on the habitat.
To craft a Lonebid Pheromone Injector, you’ll need an Ice Bonebell and a unit of fur. You can find fur near lonebid nests and also near other nests with animals that have fur. Note that you’ll need two units of Lonebid Pheromone Injector.

Once you’ve got the Pheromone Injector, head to the artificial Lonebid nest and hold the button to access the panel on the nest.
This will allow the two Lonebids to stop treating each other as strangers. You can then wait for 24 hours and return to the nest to find the hybrid, a Jasper Lonebid.

Wait another 24 hours till the Jasper Lonebid fully matures into an adult. You can then make it follow you. If you’ve got the Key and the Special plant, you can head to the final gate.

Beyond The Gate
After you’ve fulfilled all of the requirements, you can finally open the gate. Make sure the Jasper Lonebid is following you while you attempt to put the key on the pedestal in front of the gate.
As the gate opens, Henessy will mount the Jasper Lonebid and make way into the darkness. She may find the inhabitants of Sota7 and much more, and she also has the cure for Earth in the form of Aetheris seeds. The game ends here, but you can continue playing by reloading the save file, which will take you back to the moment when you were about to open the final gate.
