Hytale Walkthrough – Part 3 Caves

hytale walkthrough part 3

Discover everything you need to know about the Part 3 walkthrough in Hytale, including how to progress through the caves.

Hytale is a sandbox-RPG adventure game where you explore a world, fight enemies, craft gear, and build structures. Collect the resources to craft new items on the workbench. As you explore, find materials like iron, steel, thorium, and voidheart to craft stronger weapons and armor. Upgrade your backpack to carry more items as you find resources and loot.

For more information on the game, you can visit its official Steam page here.

Hytale Caves Wakthrough

Part 2 walkthrough in Hytale ends with building a base using the required materials. A new respawn point has been set in the game. This section will delve into the caves and thoroughly explore the world. We have a decent weapon in the quickbar, along with other items like Copper Pickaxe, Bow, and Rusty Iron Axe.

Keep Exploring the Map

Continue the journey from the left side of the base and keep collecting the food items like Wild Berries. Consuming this item allows you to gain health. I highly recommend consuming it during the fight when you take some damage.

Defeat the mobs you encounter on your way with the best weapon. Most mobs can wield a mace that can deal massive damage to you, so be aware of that.

Killing the chickens allows you to gain Light Hide and Raw Chicken. Light Hide can be turned into leather to craft high-level armor. Interact with multiple creatures and defeat them to unlock a new Memory. Make your way to the center of the map near the river. Go all the way to the right and collect the Brown Common Mushroom.

Explore the Cave

You can find a secret Cave from here where you collect the mushrooms. Find a way to get inside and unveil new secrets. Just as you’re about to enter the cave, you can find the Iron Ore nodes. Use your pickaxe to mine them. Iron Ore is turned into an Iron Ingot to craft high-level armor and weapons.

You need to craft a Crude Torch to explore the cave. Plant Fiber, Tree Sap, and a Stick are used to craft the torch. Make sure you have the required items in your inventory, or you can just obtain them from nearby. Once you get inside the cave, the rats will attack you. Use the best weapon to eliminate them and progress further.

Descend into the Cave

Killing the rats allows you to gain Light Hide and Raw Wildmeat. Tree Sap is obtained by breaking the white-colored tree using the Hatchet. Craft the Crude Torch to explore the cave with ease. You can also acquire the dagger from a small chest outside the cave near the tree. Use the Pickaxe to make a path leading down to the cave.

You can obtain the Copper Ore while creating a path with the help of a pickaxe. Descend into the cave carefully and defeat the enemies you encounter on your way. I highly recommend using the daggers to kill the mobs due to their attack speed and massive damage capability. Collect all the Copper Ore you find on your journey in the cave.

Defeat Enemies & Collect Resources

Keep placing the torch while moving, helping you to escape the cave easily. Multiple creatures will attack you on your way, so defeat all of them to clear the path. You can use the 9xCopper Ingot and 3x Plant Fiber to craft Copper Greaves, giving you a defense. Use the bow to eliminate the enemies from a safe distance.

The enemies can come to attack you together, so using a bow from high ground makes it easier to kill without engaging them in melee combat. Be aware of the lava passing through on the ground level. You can use the blocks to create a path to progress further. Exploring this cave is very challenging due to several enemies lurking, so you can expect your death.

The objective here is to collect all the Iron Ingot and Copper Ingot to craft useful items at the workbench. Most nodes are attached to the ceiling, so create a path using the blocks to obtain them. You can find more Copper and Iron Ores on the base level of the cave, but expect more enemies here. Once you acquire enough resources, make your way out of the cave.

Crafting New Items

Deadly enemies can attack you if it’s nighttime. It’s best to avoid them and run all the way to your base. Once you get inside the base, interact with the bed to sleep on it. Doing so allows you to save the game and pass the time. Interact with the Furnace after waking up. Add the Iron Ore and Copper Ore into the Input section and turn on the fuel to initiate the smelting process.

Make sure to add more copper ore and iron ore to obtain more Ingots. Keep in mind the Oak Log is used as a fuel in the furnace, so have them in your inventory. Place some items into the chests in the base to free up some space in inventory. Interact with the Blacksmith’s Anvil to find out the recipe for all the high-level weapons.

You can craft the Iron Pickaxe at the workbench using 4xIron Ingot, 2x Light Leather, and 2xLinen Scraps.

I highly recommend crafting the repair kit using materials like 2xLinen Scraps, 1xIron Ingot, and 1xLight Leather. This kit is used to repair your weapons and armor. Craft the Iron Hatcher using 5xIron Ingot, 2xLight Leather, and 2xLinen Scraps. This hatchet can destroy the blocks within two hits.

The Iron hammer is used to alter the appearance of structural building blocks. This is an improved version of the crude hammer with greater durability.

Give more Oak Logs to the Furnace to continue the smelting process. Make sure you have Copper Helm equipped before moving out because it grants +4% Projectile Resistance and +4% Physical Resistance. Use 2xCopper Ingot, 10xAny Tree Trunk, and 5xAny Stone to craft the Chef’s Stove. This is a built-in kitchen that can be used to make advanced dishes.

Once you craft it, place it to suitable location inside the house. Interact with it and cook different recipes like Vegetable Skewer, Mushroom Skewer, and Fruit Skewer. Cooking Mushroom Salad at the Chef’s Stove and consuming it allows you to gain health regen II and Stamina Boost II.

Make the recipe and add it to your inventory to consume during combat. Use 4xStick and 1xAny Rubble to craft a Crude Arrow at the workbench.

Get Inside the Library (Frostmarch Tundra)

Once you’re done crafting the useful item using the required materials, make your way out of the cabin. Equip the best weapon while traversing to eliminate any enemy you encounter on your way. Continue moving, and you will find a library while exploring the map. There’s an enemy just inside the building, so use the bow to deal damage. This allows you to eliminate them without engaging in melee combat.

Once you get inside the building, the enemies on the upper platform attack you with magic. Use the bow to kill these enemies first. Use the Pickaxe to obtain the Green Crystal Shards from near the bookshelves. Explore the library thoroughly and collect the useful items.

Make your way to the upper platform and destroy the boxes to collect the items like Wild Berries. Two mobs attack you when you move to the upper floor of the building. Use the Mace to eliminate them quickly. You can collect the Lesser Health Potions from the small chest over here.

Consuming this potion restores 15% health instantly and another 30% after 5 seconds. The effect is removed when taking damage.

More enemies respawn after you move to the lower floor. Defeat them using the best weapon and continue moving. Make sure to search every corner of the building to acquire the useful resources. Go through all the small chests to find the items and add them to your inventory. You can find a small chest inside the cage. Use the Iron Pickaxe to destroy the cage and loot the chest.

This small Overgrown Temple Chest grants Essence of Life, Silver Ore, and a potion. Take the stairs from here and move to the top-most area of the building. Interact with the High-Roll Chest to obtain Crude Battleaxe, Heavy Leather, Iron Ore, Essence of Life, and Corn Seed Bag.

Record Memories

Make your way out of the building and continue moving towards the Temple. Get inside the temple and move inside the portal to make your way to the Edge of Echo. You will find yourself in the Forgotten Temple. Move to the center of the map and interact with the structure to record the memory.

Doing so allows you to unlock Morph Potions, Decorative Chests, and Eternal Seeds if you record 55 memories. Ancient Gateway, Portal Fragments, and Backpack Upgrade can be unlocked after restoring 100 memories.

Harvest Trophy, Decorative Chests, and Eternal Seeds are unlocked for restoring 200 memories. Interact with the Rootling Merchant to purchase new items for Essence of Life.

Return to the Base

Make your way back to the Forgotten Temple and interact with the Portal to move back to the previous map. Get out of the temple and continue moving towards the base. Be aware of the deadly enemies that can attack you while traversing. Consume the food if you’re low on health. Get inside your cabin and interact with the bed to sleep on it.

Once you wake up, interact with the Furnace and add a copper ingot in the Input section, and turn on the fuel to start the smelting process. This will take a couple of minutes to complete. Interact with the Tanning Rack and add Medium Hide into the Input section to obtain Input Leather. Medium Leather is processed from the resilient hides of mid-sized threats and armored beasts.

Craft the Repairing Kit

Place the extra items from your inventory in the small chest in the cabin to free up some space. The Repair Kit can be used to repair tools, weapons, and armor. Repaired items lose up to 10% of their maximum durability.

Craft a repairing kit at the tier 1 workbench. You can find this in the second tab in the upper left corner. Equip the Repair Kit to your hotbar and choose the item you want to repair. Crafting the repairing kit requires items like 2xLinen Scraps, 1xIron Ingot, and 1xLight Leather.

Defeating the mobs allows you to gain Linen Scraps. Iron Ingots are harder to obtain, but you can refine them at the Tier 1 Furnace from iron ore. Once you find copper and iron ore underground, smelt them in a furnace to make better tools, weapons, and armor. You can queue up multiple stacks of ore in a furnace instead of smelting one at a time. That’s where the Part 3 walkthrough in Hytale concludes.
