Hytale Walkthrough Part 8 – Frostmatch Tundra

Hytale offers vast landscapes made of blocks with diverse biomes, structures, and zones to explore. You discover ruins, hidden areas, and powerful gear guarded by deadly enemies. Acquire the useful resources to craft new items using the crafting benches.

Outlander Outpost in Hytale is a fortified settlement belonging to the Outlander faction. These locations are designed as hostile, tribal camps situated in a snowy and forested environment. Get inside the Bone Graveyard to collect new resources and unlock new memories.

Hytale Part 8 Walkthrough

The previous chapter in Hytale concludes with farming crops and exploring Kweebec Village, Gem Mineshaft, and Skeleton Tower. We unlock new memories during your journey and obtain new, useful resources to craft new items.

Before getting inside the Bone Graveyard, make sure you’re equipped with the best armor and weapon. You may encounter multiple enemies over there, and using the low-level weapons can be the biggest mistake.

Carry a good supply of food items in your inventory and hotbar to consume them during combat when you’re low on health. Having the stamina and health potions in your inventory is very beneficial, as consuming them allows you to gain additional buffs to your character.

Daggers are the best weapons to use to defeat the mobs and creatures. You can also use the sword & shield to tackle the foes during your journey to the next ruins if you prefer offense and defense mechanics.

Get Inside Bone Graveyard

Make your way out of the base and open the map to find the exact location of Bone Graveyard. Keep following the compass at the top of the screen to reach your destination. Collect all the useful resources while traversing to use them later. You can find the Bone Graveyard at the topmost side of the map, just below the snowy area.

You may encounter several new creatures while traversing, so get closer to them to unlock new memories. Eventually, you will find yourself in Frostmatch Tundra. Use your pickaxe to mine the Iron and Copper Ore at the starting area of this ruin. Defeat the mobs here to obtain Linen Scraps, Bone Fragments, and Crude Shortbow.

Move Into Snowy Ruin

You can find a weird pile of blocks here. Use the Pickaxe to break them, allowing you to gain Bones. Once done with that, mark a new marker at the left side of Bone Graveyard, in the middle of the Snow biome. Continue moving to the new set location while defeating every mob you encounter. Just as you take a few steps ahead, you can find a cave.

Mining in the North Outlander Village

Get inside the cave and use the pickaxe to mine the Copper Ores. This crucial item is smelted at the furnace to convert into an iron ingot, which is crucial for crafting high-level weapons, tools, and armor. Make your way out of the cave and continue moving towards the destination. You will get inside a castle filled with multiple enemies. Use the bow to kill these enemies and keep moving.

Get inside the rooms in this castle to obtain useful resources from the chests. You can acquire the Shadoweave Scrops from one of the Small Lost Civilization Chests. Destroy the chests to obtain the Copper Mace.

This is a high-level weapon that can deal massive damage to the enemy with a single hit.  However, the attack speed is very slow, but it can eliminate enemies with its charge attack.

Explore the whole village, defeat all the mobs, and loot everything you find. Make sure to consume the food to gain buffs before the fight.

Outlander Mineshaft

You will find the Outlander Mineshaft while exploring the area nearby. There are railway tracks in this mineshaft, so get inside to loot the blue glowing mushrooms. You can use these mushrooms to cook at Chef’s Stove or Campfire to consume them to gain buffs. Defeat the mobs inside this mineshaft and loot the hidden chests.

You can acquire the Wild Berries, Wooden Shield, Light Hide, Wheat Seed Bag, and Oak Logs from the chests. Make sure you have enough space in your inventory to add them. Different chests grant different resources and weapons, so check them out. Once you obtain all the essential items, get out of the Mineshaft and continue further north.

Heading Further North (The Everfrost)

Be aware of the deadly enemies while traversing to the north at night. More deadly creatures spawn and can attack you, making your journey harder. Use the torch while moving towards the destination to see the path clearly. Once you enter the snowy ruin, you will find some new animals. Go near them to unlock new memories. You don’t need to kill them unless they attack you first.

Keep following the marker on the compass and avoid engaging with the enemies if possible. This is because you have start from the respawn point if you die somehow. You have to swim through the water to cover the passage in this ruin. Get inside the first castle you find after entering this biome and loot everything from the chests. Defeat all the mobs you encounter here, as they will keep chasing you.

Move all the way up to the top floor and search the chest to obtain the Thorium Shield and Thorium Rare. These are the rare and high-level items, so make sure to collect them. Not only that, but you can also get the Thorium Daggers from the chests over here. This weapon cannot only deal damage, but also allows you to dominate them.

Get out of the castle and continue exploring the area nearby. You will find the large structure of black Blocks. Approach the structure and use the pickaxe to mine the Iron Ores from these blocks. This structure is a hub of Iron Ore, so make sure you have enough space in your inventory to add it.

Just near this structure, you can find another large structure. Mining in this structure allows you to gain Cobalt Ore. You can’t find this rare item in other ruins in the game.

Outlander Outpost

Continue moving towards the Outlander Outpost to uncover new secrets and collect more resources. You will find a large outpost building while traversing this biome.

Use the bow to defeat the enemy standing at the upper platform guarding the outpost. Once dealt, make your way inside the castle and explore it thoroughly. I highly recommend using the Thorium Daggers here due to several enemies lurking around every corner. Only two hits are enough to kill the mobs with this weapon. Consume the cooked meat before heading inside to gain health and buffs.

Right before the entrance of the outpost, use the pickaxe to mine the Cobalt Ores from the left side. Defeating one of the enemy here allows you to gain Doomed Outlander Daggers. Surviving inside the castle is challenging due to multiple enemies.

Find an alternate way to enter the castle and eliminate the enemies from high ground using the bow. The giant enemy cannot get outside of the outpost, so you can first kill the smaller mobs by making them get outside.

Once defeated, enter the big hall and start attacking the big guy. Use the right strategy to eliminate this enemy, as it can easily kill you with 2~3 hits. Find the Small Dark Temple Chest below the blue flag to obtain Shadoweave Scraps, Thorium Ingot, and Silver Ingot. Loot all the chests you find in this temple after defeating the enemies.

Return to the Base

Once you loot all the essential resources, make your way back to the base. Interact with the bed to sleep on it. Once you wake up, put all the items you obtained before to make space in your inventory. Keep only those items that you want to use to craft new recipes.  

Your armor, weapons, and tools need to be repaired after coming back to the base. Gear degrades with use and must be repaired to restore durability. You cannot repair items directly at a workbench. To repair items, you first need to craft Repair Kits at a Tier 1 or higher Workbench.

Once you have these materials, open the Workbench, switch to the Repair tab, and craft as many Repair Kits. The materials required to craft the repair kits are 2x Linen Scraps, 1xIron Ingot, and 1xLight Leather.

Place the Repair Kit in your hotbar and select it to use. Choose the damaged item you want to fix and confirm to repair. The selected weapon, armor, or tool will regain durability, and the Repair Kit will be consumed. However, it also mitigates the item’s maximum durability by up to 10%. This means an item can be repaired several times, but will eventually have less overall longevity if repaired repeatedly.

You can now use the newly obtained resources to craft new things using the crafting benches. Make sure to use the Thorium Ingot to convert it into the Thorium Ingot at the furnace. We need to make our traversal quick, so get ready to craft a teleporter. You can’t ever go to the far areas on foot. Teleporters allow you to travel from one point to another very quickly.

Teleporters can only be made at the Arcanist’s Workbench. Upgrade the workbench to tier 2 using the required materials to craft the Arcanist’s Workbench. Crafting this workbench can be quite challenging due to its required items. You need to have 10x Thorium Ingots, 30x Linen Scraps, and 20 Essence of the Void.

Select the Teleporter recipe from the Arcanist’s Workbench and use the required materials to craft it. Place one teleporter at Location A and the other one at Location B. Location A can be your base, and Location B is your destination.

Interact with each teleporter, give it a name, and select the linked target warp. Step into a teleporter to instantly travel to the destination. Your placement limit for teleporters increases as you unlock Memory rewards. Make sure to unlockmore Memories at the Forgotten Temple to place more teleporters.
