Muhit Rahman lives off two things: gaming marathons and endless cups of tea. He writes guides, reviews, and occasionally forgets that real life doesn’t come with checkpoints. His favorite genres are Soulslike and Metroidvania, with Dark Souls III, Hollow Knight, and Dota 2 forever holding top spots on his all-time list.
In Inkshade, mastering battles is only half the challenge. Solving puzzles as you unlock new rooms gives you access to powerful starter troops. These units can completely change how you approach your runs, letting you experiment with fresh strategies and troop combinations.
The Planetarium is the first room you’ll gain access to after defeating a Tier 1 boss. Inside, you’ll face the Astral Disc Puzzle, one of the trickier challenges early in the game. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the solution so you can unlock the hidden units waiting behind it.

Finding the Missing Levers

Head to the far-right side of the Planetarium to find a control panel. You’ll notice a single lever on the left, while the rest are missing. The first step is to locate the four missing levers and attach them back to the panel.

The first lever is hidden behind one of the paintings near the panel. From the panel, turn around and you’ll see a cabinet with a small chest between a candelabra and a table lamp. Interact with the painting hanging on the wall behind it to reveal a hidden shelf. You’ll find the first lever on the shelf.

For the next one, check the study tables at the center of the room. It’ll be sitting on the table that has a red goblet on it.

From the center of the room, head down the small set of stairs on the right side. There’s a cabinet on the left with one drawer slightly ajar. Interact with the door to open it and get the lever.

Head to the upper level of the room. You’ll find the final lever on the arm of a chair.

Once you’ve collected all four, return to the panel and slot them into place. Pull all the levers to activate the mechanism.
This spawns some floating lights to appear inside the planetarium in front of the large window. It almost looks like stars shining in the night sky.
Aligning the Astral Discs

On one of the study tables at the center, you’ll find a scroll that you can interact with. This scroll gives you the clue to the puzzle you need to solve.

Head to the upper level of the room, and at the center, you’ll find a dial that you can interact with. This moves three big discs on the large window at the front of the room.
Your goal is to rotate the discs in a way that there are six stars in the big circle, three in the medium ones, and 1 in each of the smaller circles.
Use the image above as reference for the correct position of the discs

Once you have the correct position set, a beam of light will shine into the telescope. At this point run to the telescope downstairs and interact with it.

You’ll see some sparkling lights when you look through the telescope.

The center of the window will explode and a ray of light will shoot towards the center of the room by the study table. At the end of them, you’ll find three new pieces that you can add to your collection.
Inkshade can be tough on new players, but getting access to stronger troops early on makes a huge difference. Take a look at our guides hub to set yourself up for the best possible start.
