For your next mission in John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, Leon wants you to help him conduct field research. He needs you to find a slob enemy that is genetically similar to our monsters.
This is because the weapon Leon is crafting is a one time use, so you do not want to skip testing it beforehand before trying it on the big guy, right?

The Trap Truck And Traps

You will have a vehicle loaded with some traps to complete the mission, but you will need more traps. Near the spawn area, you should be able to find two additional traps and attach them to it.
After loading the truck with gas, you need to refuel the vehicle. You should be able to find a canister nearby or on top of the vehicle.

From here, you have two options: you can go straight ahead to the Mutated Slob habitat and continue with your mission, or you can search for and collect two additional traps to further enhance the system.
Activate The Trap

Everything is set, and now you need to make your way to the Slob location. Drive toward the objective marker. This will take you to an area where you can place your traps.
Pick up each trap individually and carefully, and place it in the designated area.

Before activating the system, if you want to proceed with four traps, that is fine, but if you need the additional two, now is the time to grab them; otherwise, it will not be possible.
Kill The Slob

Start the hunt and activate the traps. This will attract the Slob and wake it from its slumber. Your objective is to lure it into the middle of these traps, where the blue lights are.
Do not try to shoot it beforehand; just get its attention, stand on the other side of the traps, and wait for it to rush toward you. When it does and passes by the traps, its immunity will be removed, and you will be able to damage it.

Now, just like any other zombie in the game, you need to kill the Slob. It is not difficult to fight, but you need to keep moving constantly while shooting it.
Of course, other zombies will join the fight as well, so make sure to deal with them as soon as they spawn.

When you manage to kill the Slob, it will drop a sample. Pick it up and place it on the trap truck.
Leon needs to break down the sample and analyze it, but he does not have the proper machine at his base.
Analyzing The Sample

You need to go to the power plant while carrying the sample in the car. Follow the objective marker and park your vehicle when you arrive. Remove the sample from the car and proceed toward the analyzer.
The analyzer will be blocked by a bunch of tendrils; shoot all of them and destroy them. This will free the analyzer, allowing you to place the sample inside.

Now, to activate the analyzer, there are two switches you need to interact with, but before you do that, you already know the drill: it will prepare defenses.
Make sure to stock up on ammo, heal, open weapon crates, and acquire a heavy weapon, and of course, do not forget to set traps. Once you are ready, press both switches, and the analysis process will begin.
Defend The Analyzer

During the process, you will be attacked by numerous zombies, and your goal is to protect the analyzer. A bar will show the progress of the analysis, and you need to eliminate any zombie that tries to approach it.
Keep an eye on the analyzer, and if you get overwhelmed, use your heavy gun or ability depending on your class. It is best to kill zombies as they attempt to reach your position.

Once the analysis process is complete, return to the truck location, and the mission will be complete.
