The Last Beacon

The game starts with a short cutscene at the end of which you’ll see the bird perch on top of the lighthouse. Use the left stick of your controller to move left and right.

After a few turns, the lighthouse will break and fall. When the cutscene ends, you can finally start to move around.

Keep walking along the road. Use the left stick to keep balance. If the lighthouse leans too far on either side, it’ll topple over.

Continue moving along the road (towards the screen), and after a whil,e you’ll see the camera angle shift.

You’ll see a giant mountain that looks like a snail shell in the background. This marks the start of the second chapter.
The Mountain Eye

Continue moving forward. You will have to climb a couple of ledges (left stick) up ahead.

Keep moving forward, and you’ll eventually reach a gate. A short cutscene will trigger.

Continue moving forward once the cutscene ends. You’ll cross a bridge and climb another ledge up ahead.

The camera perspective will change again. Just keep heading up the path.

Soon you’ll notice that the path starts to get narrow. This is when the third chapter starts.
Crumbling Ledge

As you take a few steps forward along the narrow path, it breaks down.

Shimmy along the ledge and continue moving forward. The path up ahead will break again.

Cross the ledge to trigger another cutscene.
The Brim

The cutscene ends with you sliding down the slope into a valley. Continue moving forward/

You’ll notice that as you shine your light around on different flowers, they react to it in certain ways.

Keep moving up, making your way towards the large cave in the distance.

Enter the cave and continue walking till you reach a pool of water.
Luminous Cavern

Keep moving through the water, shining your light on the flowers to make them bloom.

At the end of the cave, you’ll see your path blocked by some thick branches. Get close to them to trigger a short cutscene.

This unlocks your ability to use Focus Light. Hold RT on your controller to focus your beam on a specific point to solve puzzles. Use the Focus Light on the branches to clear the way forward.

Keep moving forward until you reach the end of the cave. Clear the branches using Focus Light and exit the cave.
Radiant Grove

After exiting the cave, you officially start the fourth chapter and enter the Radiant Grove.

Continue moving forward until you find your path blocked by a tree.

Press X to send Twig, your bird companion, to open the way forward. This is another tool that you’ll use to solve puzzles in the future.

Keep moving forward till you reach a fork in the road. The left path leads to a dead-end, while the right leads down to a small lake.

Walk into the lake and keep moving forward till you reach the other side.

You’ll eventually reach a point where the way forward is blocked off by a branch. Hold A and move forward to dash through the branch.

Continue moving up, and you’ll arrive in front of a large rock formation on the other side of a broken bridge.

Backtrack along the broken bridge, and you’ll find a path heading down on the right.

Go down the path and use Focus Light on the seed up ahead.

Move along the passage and you’ll spot another seed on the other side. Use Focus Light on it to create a path across the broken bridge.

Return to the upper path and go across the bridge and through the opening on the other side. This triggers another cutscene.
The Mountain Shrine

Continue moving through the dark cave.

You’ll see a swarm of rats up ahead. Shine your light on them and use Focus Light to chase them away. Whenever you see swarms of rats, you should use Focus Light on them.

Soon you’ll reach a dead end. Focus Light on the large seed on the left to clear the way forward.

Up ahead, you’ll find another gate blocked by thick branches. Use Focus Light to clear them.

Continue forward, use Focus Light on the large seed inside to clear the path, and keep moving through.

This will take you to a large cavern. This area has three swarms of rats. Clear them off and press onward.

You’ll spot a giant hanging seed up ahead. Focus Light on it to send out vines across to the other side.

Then press X to send Twig to another large seed. Once the vines are removed, use Focus Light on it to send out another set of vines.

Repeat the same step one more time to create a bridge across the chasm and trigger a cutscene.

Once the cutscene ends, go across the bridge and keep walking till you hit a dead end.

Go down the passage on the left and dash through the vine.

Keep walking to reach the outside. This takes you to the next chapter of Keeper.
Fractal Ridge

Keep walking forward along the bridge. You’ll have to dash through a couple of obstacles along the way.

Eventually, you’ll arrive in front of a large skull.

Shine your light on the flower at the crown of the skull. Then press X to send Twig.

Use the Left Stick to pull the flower away from the base.

This will open the mouth of the skull, creating a bridge. Go through the mouth to transition into the next chapter.
Green Sanctuary

Keep moving forward till you exit through the other end.

You’ll eventually arrive in a green grassland. Keep moving through the valley until you spot a tree with fruit, and a carrot-like creature under it trying to reach it.

Send Twig to the Tree and press X to shake the fruit off.

Moving along, you’ll spot some round creatures. Go past them. The one at the end will stop your path.

Use Focus Light on it and then send Twig to pull its arm.

The creature will burrow underground, leaving behind a blue seed. This will also trigger a cutscene as the tree up ahead comes to life. This transitions you to the next chapter.
The Many Eyed Tree

Once the cutscene ends, press X to send Twig to the Many Eyed Tree and give him the blue seed you got from the crab-like creature. Press X again three times to peck the seed into the Tree’s head.

The Tree will lift its roots on the left and right sides. Let’s go left first.

You’ll reach a small farm-type area at the end of the left path. Send Twig towards one of the trees in the farm once you get close.

Press X to shake the fruit loose. It’ll drop on the carrot person underneath. As he eats the fruit, he plants another tree on the left plot.

Head to the other side of the farm and shine your light on the vine poking out of the ground. Once it sprouts a fruit, repeat the above steps.

As you start to grow the third plant using Focus Light, you’ll see that this one is growing with a blue seed. Send Twig once it grows fully to grab the blue seed.

Return to the Many Eyed Tree and give him the second blue seed. Next, we’ll take the path on the right.

Heading up the path takes us to a frozen pool. You’ll spot a stone clam creature standing on ice in the middle of the pool.

Go to the left edge of the path and focus the light on the stone clam, standing on the wooden bridge. The bridge will break, and it will land on the frozen pool below.

Next, go to the right edge of the area and focus your light on another stone clam patrolling nearby.

Once all three clams are in the pool, focus your light on them. They will jump together, breaking the ice in the middle section of the pool.

Press X to send Twig and pick up the blue seed.

Head back to the Many Eyed Tree and give him the third seed to open the way forward. Head through the path and enter the dark cave up ahead to reach the next chapter.
Root Cellar

The chapter begins in a dark tunnel.

This chapter is pretty straightforward. Just keep walking forward, dashing through obstacles and mantling over ledges, till you reach the end of the tunnel. You’ve entered the Morphing Labyrinth.
Morphing Labyrinth

You start in a round room with walls surrounding you. Shine your light on them to reveal what’s behind them.

One of the walls reveals a passage behind it. Head along the passage.

You’ll spot another wall on the left. Shine your light on it to reveal another hidden passage.

Keep making your way forward, revealing hidden passages, and soon you’ll enter the next chapter by heading through a tunnel.
The Winding Gate

You’ll soon reach an area with a wooden board with an eye on your left. The board has three gear pieces. They can be rotated by using the crank, but two of the cranks are missing.

Back away from the board and take the path on the right.

There’s a fork up ahead leading left and right. Go right first.

Dash through the vines and past the narrow passage to reach an area filled with water. You’ll spot the crank on the left behind a hidden wall in the watery area.

Press X to send Twig and use the Left Stick to move the crank all the way to the bottom. Doing so will retrieve the crank.

Return to the fork from earlier and take the left path.

You’ll spot the next crank past two vines that you can dash through. Pull the crank all the way to the right to retrieve it.

Now, return to the wooden board from earlier and press X to install the first crank. Press B to return Twig and X again to install the second crank.

With all the cranks installed and the green dials revealed, you need to solve a puzzle to open the way forward. Rotate the crank so that the golden lines on the three discs line up with the golden line around the eye, as shown in the image above.

This triggers another cutscene, which leads you into the next chapter of the game.
Graveyard

As you wake up in the Graveyard, Twig is gone. On top of that, your light bulb doesn’t work anymore, which means no Focus Light.

Start moving through the swamp until you reach a blockade. There’s a light bulb nearby that you can rotate and use to Focus Light. Aim at the barricade in front of you and use RT to focus the light and clear the path for you.

Keep moving forward, and you’ll spot another light bulb up ahead. This time, there’s a swarm of rats blocking your path. Like before, focus the light to push the rats away while you walk past with the lighthouse.

Continue progressing through the chapter using the nearby Light Bulbs whenever there’s an obstacle up ahead. Eventually, you’ll enter a tower and transition to the next chapter.
Spiral

Spiral is another short chapter where you’re essentially just climbing a spiral staircase. Your light bulb still doesn’t work.

As you climb, you’ll spot missing steps along the staircase. Use the Focus Light to use the light coming from the window to create steps so that you can pass across.

Reach the top of the staircase to complete this chapter and trigger a cutscene.
Liminal Gate

At the start of this chapter, you’ll see a cutscene where you’re reunited with Twig. At the same time, your powers also return.

Start moving forward through the green valley.

Focus the light on a seed stuck on the wall to create a bridge and continue moving forward.

You’ll eventually see a large gate in the distance. But there’s a shockwave emanating from its other side.

As the shockwave hits, a passage opens up on your left. Go through it and make your way towards the gate.

Go through it and make your way towards the gate.

As you get close to the gate, you’ll notice three strange symbols around it. You’ll also see some purple vines on each side of the gate.

Shine your beam on the vine on the right to reveal a crank. Keep shining the light and send Twig to sit on the crank. Wind it clockwise all the way.

You’ll spot another crank above the gate once you wind up the first crank. Send Twig and wind up the second crank as far as it goes.

Once that’s done, focus the light on the purple vines on the left to find the final crank. Wind it to full to open the gate. Go through it to trigger another cutscene and reach the next chapter.
The Horologe

Once the cutscene ends, it’s obvious what you have to do. You need to retrieve three medallions to repair the broken machine in the middle of the town.

You’ll spot a switch with the symbol of the Sun on your left. Focus Light on it to shift time to the past. Twig turns into an Egg when you’re in the past.

There’s also a switch with the symbol of the Full Moon on the right. Focusing light on it shifts the time back to the present.
Note that different paths open up depending on the current timeline. With that out of the way, let’s start tracking down the three medallions: Full Sun, Rising Sun, and Crescent Moon.
Retrieving the Full Sun Medallion

Shift to the past and head down the newly opened path on the left.

At the end, shine your light on the full moon, switch to return to the present, and continue across the bridge.

Shine your light on the door up ahead to open it, then go inside the temple. Keep moving forward using the dash whenever you see an obstacle up ahead.

Shine your light on the purple vine on the door, and then send Twig to use the lever inside. Pull it all the way to the left while moving your light to keep the vines away.

The door will open. Keep moving forward till you reach a door with two cog wheels on it. Send Twig to pull the small cog on the left. Your goal is to place it in the empty slot on the right.

First, have Twig rotate the top lever so the exposed gap is horizontal. Switch to the small cog and slide it to the right into the gap. Go back to the top lever and rotate again to lift the small cog upward. Move it down into the gap at the bottom, rotate the top lever again, and slide the small cog into the gap on the right.

This will open the door, allowing you to pass through. You’ll spot another door puzzle in the other room. Shine your light beam on the left and right sides to reveal two hidden symbols behind the wall.

Send Twig to sit on the symbols. Next, arrange them so that the Full Sun is in the middle slot, the Crescent Moon is in the right slot, and the Rising Sun is in the left slot. This will open the door.

You’ll reach a chamber with a locked door at the end. Send Twig to pick up the Full Sun Medallion.

Once the door opens, shine your light on the wall on the other end to find the exit. You’ll find yourself back outside. Head back to the main square.
Retrieving the Crescent Moon Medallion

From the Shrine, head right to spot a locked gate. There’s a crank nearby. Send Twig to interact with the crank and rotate it to unlock the door.

Head through the door to find another gate on the other side. There’s a Crescent Moon switch on the right.

Shine your beam on it to turn Twig into a ghost. In this form, he can pass through solid objects.

Send Twig to the crank on the other side of the gate. But since he’s a ghost, he can’t rotate it.

Use the Full Sun switch on the left to switch Twig back to his solid form. Rotate the crank to unlock the gate.

There’s another temple on the other side of the gate. Like before, shine your light on the wall and head inside.

Keep going forward till you reach the first locked door. Use the moon switch on the left to switch to Twig’s ghost form and send him to the pressure plate on the other side.

Use the sun switch to turn him back into solid. Now he’ll press on the pressure plate, which will unlock the door. Go through it and recall Twig from the other side.

You’ll find another moon switch up ahead. The idea is the same as before. Switch to ghost form, send Twig to the pressure mechanism, switch back to his solid form to open the door.

However, you need to use the moon switch one last time to create a bridge across the gap to get to the door.

Continue through the door, and you’ll see a giant platform through a hole in the wall. There’s a switch right next to the wall on your right to switch back to the present.

At the present timeline, send Twig to sit on the mechanism in the middle of the platform. Wind the platform so that it’s positioned near you.

Use the small platform to reach the big platform in the middle.

Have Twig operate the rotating platform again to shift the smaller platform toward the locked door on the other side.

Now, use the moon switch to shift to the future (ghost form) and send Twig to another pressure device on the left.

Switch back to the present to open a door on the other side of the platform. Use the smaller platform to reach the door and head through.

You’ll find the Crescent Medallion up ahead. Have Twig fetch it off the wall, then use your Focus Light to reveal the passage and head back to the main square.
Retrieving the Rising Sun Medallion

Make sure you’re in the present timeline and take the middle path behind the broken machine in the town square.

Send Twig toward the crank on the left behind the locked door. Rotate the crank to open two locked doors.

Return to the bridge leading to the Full Sun Medallion temple. Switch to the past and head through the unlocked doors on the right.

Go across the bridge towards the Rising Sun temple. Enter through the door by shining your light on it.

As you reach the first locked door, send Twig to sit on the pressure device on the left.

Use the Switch to shift to the past and get rid of the vines. The egg will press the device down, unlocking the door on the right.

Switch timelines on the other side and recall Twig. In the next room, the pressure device is hidden behind a wall. Focus your light on it to reveal the device. Then send Twig to sit on it.

This causes another pressure device to pop up on the left. It’s the same idea as before, but this time you’ll have to shift to the past to get rid of the vines holding the device in place.

Go through the door once you crack the puzzle, and remember to recall Twig by shifting timelines on the other side.

In the next puzzle room, send Twig to sit between two cogs on the left. Shift the timeline to turn him into an egg.

Shine your light on the vines on the right to activate the cog and open the door.

Head through the door, recall Twig after shifting the timeline, and keep moving forward to find the final medallion piece. Pick it up and return to the main square through the hidden wall.

Insert the three medallions into the machine. Rotate the crank that pops out.

After that, a cog will pop out from the bottom of the machine. Get on top of it and wind it for a few turns.

This triggers a cutscene where you see the purple vines around the city break.

Once the cutscene ends, head up the path on the right to exit the city and reach the next chapter.
